Very, very happy - from a runner, not an audiophile.

I'll be honest - I'm not an audiophile. I run, and I like to be able to hear my music clearly... having said that, I had a pair of bluetooth earbuds prior to this, and they didn't deliver anywhere near the clarity that I have the second I put these on. The difference was so clear that I'm compelled to write a review, which I never do. For the $$, the battery life is better, and the sound clarity is making me think "what else have I been missing?!?!?" Thanks!

    Sound quality matters

Had the Powerbeats 2 and was using them a lot during workout. They broke twice. Then decided to get the Beats X instead of Powerbeats 3. I am so glad I bought them. First of all, the W1 chip makes it so easy to switch between my Apple devices. Second, the sound quality is amazing for such a small pair of headphones. Third, very comfortable even when running on the treadmill. Have been using them for more than a month without any issue.

Great job again by Apple and Beats by Dre team.

    Keep doing the great work.

    Do not buy.

I tried to give the beats the benefit, they worked for two weeks and I had connection problems after being fully charged. Get the Apple wireless earbuds, it a little more expensive but worth.

    Not reliable

Like others, I enjoyed these headphone while they worked. My first pair lasted less than two weeks. The battery died and I was unable to recharge them or reset the headphones. The second pair lasted about a year but then the right earbud suddenly stopped working. It has no sound at all. I treat these very well. They are in the case when not used and I typically only use them at the gym 3 times a week.

If they didn’t keep breaking, I’d give them 4-5 stars. The sound quality is good. They come with a variety of earbud and wing tip sizes to customize your fit. However I think the cord is too long, there’s a lot of extra cord hanging around the neck, and the case it comes with is not very easy to use or protective.

    Not Worth It

Chord is too long, gets in the way. For the buds to fit comfortably secure in my ears I had to press them in such that I felt pressure. They very easily popped out when I was lifting weights and every time I adjusted the volume the bud would pop out. Not worth $120 (bought them on sale.) Used them 3 times before cuz I wanted to give it a chance and by that time I wasn't able to return them. Rip.

    Solid 4

Buttons work now and then. Ear-hooks are easy to break. Apart from that - happy with the product.

    Lasted 3 Months

These earbuds only lasted me 3 months. They suddenly stopped working. So I did what anybody else would do. I called Apple support. I shipped my set of earbuds and I was told that they will cost $166 to repair! That’s more than a brand new set! I really loved these till they died. Apple support was a big disappointment. I only used the at my job (I work at call center.) These earbuds failed when I wore them casually at an office. Highly dissapointed...

    Keep Breaking

I’ve had probably 5 pairs of these because I have to keep replacing them. When they work, they’re great and the sound is awesome. However, these are probably the most untrustworthy earphones I’ve ever had. On the first 3 pairs I had, the right ear completely lost sound, so I had to go through the inconvenience of replacing them each time. Now, both ears are functional, but the Bluetooth connection cancels out after 5 minutes of use. I have to reset them every time just for an additional 5 minutes of listening time. I do not recommend these unless you get satisfaction out of dealing with Apple customer service more than listening to music. Incredibly frustrating and unreliable. I want a refund.

Solid earphones, good for running, great sound

My first wireless earphones and was very impressed. Sound on these was better than expected. Dumbfounded by how easy these pair with my iPhone and Macbook. Their W1 chip is legit. Only thing I wish was easier was switching the earbud cushions and wingtips (the give you 3 sizes) which wasn't as smooth as you'd expect but it's just a one-time adjustment. Running with these is good, too.

    Sound is tinny and cheap

If anything, given Beats reputation to be bass heavy I was really taken aback. I cannot a satisfying low-end out of these unless I physically push against them towards my temple with my fingers. The iTunes equalizer is no help. Trying to increase lower frequencies only results in clipped and muddy sound.

Honestly, my wife's cheapo $25 Bluetooth headphones don't sound much worse. You're paying for hype, not quality. Avoid or at least save your money and buy a less expensive pair of headphones.

    Disconnect disconnect disconnect

If you want to get stressed buy Beats X
It disconnects when you change the music, when you plug your iPhone to charge, when unplug your iPhone from charging, when you plug your iPhone to charge in your car, when you unplug your iPhone from charging to leave the car, when you turn off your car engine, when you turn on your car engine, when you open the door of your car and when you finally get it connected it will stop playing and a message will appear on your phone “accessory is not recognized”, and you have to connect it again.
It works, but you have to press the play button one hundred times to maintain it connected, it will disconnect as I explained above; when connecting the iPhone to a power source, disconnecting it, change music, turn off car engine, turn on car engine, opening the door...
It’s the most stressful experience I ever had.
I read you need to update it, I did and mine is new and updated, that’s is the message that appears.
So, it is this way, disconnects for anything, I’m not kidding.
It’s is just unbelievable! And they charge you more than $100 bucks for that. Instead they should give you some money to treat your mental health.

Extremely bad sound quality ... and earpiece broke off first time

The sound is very tinny, and the earpiece broke off the first time I tried to put the wingtip on. I literally broke, with the wires inside coming off!!!!!!!!! Garbage product.

Have to unlock phone to connect headphones

When I turn these headphones on they don't connect until I unlock my phone. I like to use the play controls from the lock screen on my phone and having to unlock requires me to navigate to my audio app to start playing the audio. I don't have this problem with my other pair of bluetooth headphones. Is there a way to have them connect without unlocking? Why do this product have to have the pop window with a connect button?

Other than this annoying feature the product works well. I like that it comes with so many different earbud sizes. The power button is small and hard to use. Not a good product is you want to power off and on often through out the day.

    Worked fine for 5 weeks

They worked for 5 weeks, now won't power up. Really??? For the high price you would hope for more life than that.

    Third pair in 3 weeks

My first pair didn't work right from the start - one of the headphones kept cutting in and out. Exchanged them 2 days after buying them for a new pair. Three weeks after that exchange, my second pair stopped working altogether... they wouldn't even turn on. I'm now on my third pair and really hoping this one will actually work. On the bright side, the sound quality is decent and the microphone is great for phone calls.

    Simply the best!

I have owned several pairs of wireless headphones. I've owned different styles, brands, and sizes and these BeatsX are hands-down the best. I debated purchasing these because they were a bit more expensive than what I've paid in the past and I typically only get a few months of non-stop wearing out of any that I have owned. However I decided to bite the bullet and give them a try. I'm so happy that I did. These headphones are the most comfortable. They fit nice and snug in the ear. I can wear them all day and even forget I have them in. The sound quality is great. They stay charged and connected to my phone for hours of off and on use. However the best thing about them in my opinion is the way they feel around my neck. I typically wear these while working and because I'm at work I can only have one bud in at a time. Other pairs I have owned catch on my neck or hair when only wearing one side. Other pairs made it difficult to turn my head or keep them around my neck when only wearing one side. These BeatsX do not have any of those problems. The material they are made of is so soft that it glides across my neck. It also rests easy on the back of my neck and the one not in use lays flat on my chest due to the weight. During times that I have neither bud in my ear they easily clasp together and stay out of my way. I feel like I'm not describing this enough to really do it justice but I'm telling you these are absolutely the best wireless ear buds I have ever owned. In fact I can't think of a single improvement I would suggest. I wear these headphones 8 or 10 hours per day and these are the only pair that I can stand having around my neck or in my ear for that long. It's so refreshing to put them on in the morning and then just enjoy them and forget about them when not in use. This was money so well spent that I cannot see myself ever buying another brand of headphones for myself or my family! Do something nice for yourself and invest in these BeatsX wireless headphones, you will not regret it!

    Great earphones

The earphones are very easy to connect to all of my devices. They have a nice sound with enough bass to sound good without bieng to overwhelming. Much better than any of the normal earphones and some over ear headphones that I have tried.
