I've been looking for a bluetooth earphone for a few months now until I saw the announcement of beatsx getting released. I've been skeptical about beats but beatsx totally changed how I look at it. Easy to connect to my iphone & mac, super light and comfy on neck and in-ear, lighting charging is fast, crisp sound quality and the bass is just right, good noise isolation while I still can hear what's going on when I'm outdoors. The bluetooth connectivity blew me away. I walked around 25-30 feet away from my phone going out of my room passing through a few walls and it still works!! It will probably go more if I'm in an open space. Really impressive. Although it's at a pricier end, I'm really satisfied with my purchase.

Wires short circuits when twisted and crashes the earphones

I love these earphones and the sound is great (when it's not brushing against you). I would genuinely give this a four star if it wasn't because of it's built quality. The wings I received didn't fit well, they will come loose when you wear them, so they were no use. Secondly the plastic / rubbery wire housing is just a bit too rigid, it just doesn't feel comfortable, it sticks out and doesn't really look good.

The worst is that now it short circuits itself when you fold and twist it back into it's pouch. Once you put it into its pouch, it somehow crashes. So I tested it by twisting it and see what happens. When I twist it while it was still on, it will switch off. If I then straighten it out, it turns back on searching for devices to be paired. If it doesn't find a pairing, it switches off itself. OK, now once it switched off itself, you can not turn it back on manually anymore. Unless, I plug it back to the mains and it resets itself or I have to twist it again and straighten it out again and it will automatically turn on.

Now I can't return it any more, I have to go back to Apple Store and get it repaired or replaced.

    Beats X is stunning!

I usually don't write a review for Beats by Dr. Dre. I was fell in love of Beats X. It's what I use for moving around in home or out home. Apple W1 provided quickly access Bluetooth on startup. The best part about them is that you can adjust your ear tips, add ear hook (No fell off).

    Very Impressed!!!

I bought a pair of these three weeks ago and have used them pretty much every day. They are a joy to use and this is mainly due to their elegant, streamlined design. They fit my ears perfectly, never fall out and never feel uncomfortable. You can just sense that a lot of thought went into designing these earphones and as such they feel quite special. The pairing process is way beyond effortless as is the charging. It is so great that you can use a Lightning cable as this just helps to make life just a little easier. This is a great pair of earphones, don't hesitate to get some!!

Surprisingly pleased with the BeatsX - Initial Review

I wanted a pair of wireless in-ear monitors, as the wire on my ATH-IM02 tends to get tangled as I'm walking. I have always been skeptical of the Beats headsets, as they are known to overemphasize low frequencies. I tried out the AirPods, but my ears are unfortunately not engineered to fit them very well. So I thought I would give the BeatsX a whirl.

Pairing them with my iPhone 7 was super simple - they popped up; I clicked connection; and we were set to go. They also showed up thereafter in the Bluetooth settings on my Mac (not connected) - I haven't figured out how to have the BeatsX switch from my iPhone to my Mac yet.

The fit is alright, but I expect that fit and isolate sound even better with some tips from Comply.

I haven't experienced any connectivity drops yet - both for listening to music as well as on phone calls. This was one area concern for me.

In terms of sound, I am going to reserve judgement (will write a follow up review). But I am pleasantly surprised that they don't seem bass heavy!

Looking forward to seeing how they perform over time - good job, Apple!

These are the most comfy earphones from Beats to date. They connect flawlessly and sound as good as high end earphones that are currently on the market. I've spent a fortune on head and earphones and these are without a shadow of a doubt the best there currently is from Beats. I recommend these to all who are in the market for some really good/excellent ear hardware. Buy them now!!!

    Cant listen while charging

I thought I would be able to continue listening while the earphones were charing but was completely surprised when the stupid headphones would not play music when connected to a lightning chord. WHY DO THIS??? I bought these to replace all my other headphones, I don't want to have another wired pair for when I am at my desktop after a whole day of use. WHY WHY WHY???

Comfortable, easy to set up, instant pairing and seamless interaction with Apple products. A good all-round sound with enough to please more than just the casual listener. Buy!

I've been looking at the Airpods, but also heard a ton of bad things about it. A few days ago, I've the Beats X, just running through the Apple Store. They're cheaper and look nice too. I've read a few reviews, all great. I'm very happy with it. It's very easy to use and to set up. Charging is very very quick and last thing, the sound is pretty good for the kind of music I listen to (neo metal/metal/rock). They are also very easy to use on the Mac. Just one little bad thing : I didn't find how to turn them of.

Hitting all the right beats (mostly)

    - simple to pair
    - good quality audio ( Comparable to similarly priced non Bluetooth headphones )
    - comfortable design with minimalistic elements
    - fast charge
    - long battery life
    - flawlessly compatible with apple devices on native os

    - minor hiccups when pairing with a windows 10 Mac (boot camp partition ) ( output volume is lowered too, trying to find a fix )

    Great product ..

I m coming from Tour 2 and i must say the beats x are very good headphones ... the bass is not that bad at all (like mentioned in lots of reviews) it is not as punchy as it was on tour 2 but bass is still there.. it is much more balanced clear sound . If u want more bass just turn on bass booster in equalizer... it does the job . Battery life really is 8 houres .. which is great.

    Great sound and connectivity

The sound quality and ease of connectivity is superb but the mic and connection during phone calls is questionable. Audio randomly switches from the headphones back to the phone and the mic does not pick up well. I do recommend the headphones but if you talk on your phone often, this might not be an ideal choice.

From X2 to this! LOVED IT!

The sound quality is almost sounds as the X2 but a little bit louder and bassier which I really really like. Comfort is really great but I still prefer the Jaybird ones because they have shorter wires.. none of the less really worth it for me plus they have extra surprise inside the box. :)

Need 2 Pairs of Beats Throughout the Day

The BeatsX are a great pair of headphones, if you plan on not using them in the gym. These are great to use at work as the battery is great, the headphones are comfortable and the lightning cable charging is convenient. As for the gym, I noticed after a minute on the treadmill that the cords brush against my face and the sound of the wires hitting my face covered the sound of the music. The Powerbeats are great for the gym but not for all day wear, meaning I need to pony up $350 to wear Beats at work and the gym. Hey Beats, how about a bundle for both or release the PB4 as a combination of these two headphones. For now, it looks like I'll be using my JBL wireless headphones and returning the X and PB3.

    Purchase these NOW!

So, I have run the gauntlet when it comes to headphones... Bluetooth, Lightning cable powered, regular 3.5mm connected. Bowers and Wilkins, Bose, RHA, Sol Republic and these are by far the best headphones I've purchased ever. The neck bar you never notice and I have a weird shaped ear and I find most headphones wont stay in my ear if I'm actively moving etc. These stay in my ear the entire time. The bass is just right... not too heavy and not too lite. I also found that the 8 hour battery life quoted is far too conservative. I got a good 10-11 hours out of them. Definitely get them if you're on the fence like I was, you won't regret it!

    Freezes My Phone

When I first got it I immediately tried to connect to my phone due to how easy it seemed to be but, to my surprise it froze my phone. I got home thinking it was a bug and tried again. After waiting a few minutes to unfreeze itself my phone restarted so I decided to turn off the Beats X and my phone magically unfroze. It only freezes when it is connected to the Beats. I don't know if the problem is my phone or the Beats.
