    Finally!!! :D

I purchased the powerbats3 while waiting for these but returned them few days later. As an "apple everything" person, you really can't beat having bluetooth earphones that charge via lightening cable. NO MORE MICRO USB!

I wish the battery lasted a bit longer but I can get through a full day+ with constant use. The trade-off is the lightweight design. Classic Beats sound. Durable. Efficient. Stylish. Yeah, all that.

Next time, Apple... ship them ON TIME :D

    Easy to use. Good sound

VERY easy to use with any IOS device. Sound is good. Not as good as my Bose over the ear headphones, but these are earbuds and cost $200 less.

    Fantastic Bluetooth headset

Been waiting a while for these to come out, just love how easily they pair up to my iphone, how easy it is to charge, and the fact I never get a dropped signal unlike my prior bluetooth attempt with the Bragi Dash earphones.

Haven't gotten a chance to try to use the microphone yet, but otherwise just loving it. To be fair, I only really listen to podcasts with it, so I can't argue at all about the quality of music with them.

    Not very good.

I'm surprised Apple allows this product to go out. It felt like I bunch of rubber bands fighting my face. The design is on the right track by having a wire around the top your neck with the volume and mic like traditional ear pods. The audio quality was acceptable, but I think normal ear pods sound better. I kept it for one day and returned. Way over-priced. Feels more like a product from a $10 lightning deal on Amazon.

    Best in-earphones ever!!

I've been itching to get my hands on these little beauties since before Christmas. Just received delivery today and got to say they've been well worth the wait. I was tempted by the extended release date to pick up something else but I'm glad that I've waited for the beatsx. Straight out of the box and they've instantly paired with my iPhone 7plus. I was worried I'd lose bass compared to the Bose soundsport which I picked up last year. I needn't have worried. The bass is incredible. Sound quality is better than anything I've ever heard before. How can they be this good? I haven't charged them yet but there's no issues with battery level and I've been listening to music on a pretty high level of volume for about 4 hours without any issues.

If you're thinking of investing in earphones which will blow you away- beatsx are for you. Incredible.

For me a lack of Bass let's these down and if I could return them I would... worse bass than standard headphones. It's like there's no bass and all treble....!

Good Looking, Clever Design, Ordinary Sound

Gray one is really beautiful, and the overall design is nice - especially the lightening charge, very convenient. But the sound is average.

    They're Real, and They're Spectacular

The best Bluetooth earbuds I've tried. Full spectrum sound. Great for jazz and classical music. Solid bass without the boom. I love Apple’s W1 chip. It facilitates a rapid Bluetooth pairing process. Beats X appears to have extended the effective BT range to 100 feet. Also, I haven’t noticed any of those annoying BT glitches and sound drops so prevalent in previous BT versions.

    Great Headphones But...

I was waiting in anticipation for these new BeatsX headphones and after expecting a long three week wait via the online store, happened to find them being unpacked at my local Apple Store. They're as slick and smooth as they look - they're made well, they fit well, they look great, they connect seamlessly. But I found the volume on them a little low. Don't get me wrong, when maxed out they are pretty good, but walking around the city with traffic everywhere, I was a little surprised they couldn't go louder. I've tried different seals to get that better experience, but they're still a little "quiet" for me. The neckband is great too but will take a little getting used to. The cord is rigid and if you're wearing a collared shirt, its not a problem, but I found that with a t shirt it started to bother me after a while. They're the only two things I could "fault" with them.

    Great Beats.....but the case

    Got my pair today.

    1st impression

Sound Quality: they are really great, good Bass from these set. As a EDM fan i always look for rich Bass without distortion

Build Quality: Seems really sturdy for now, my concern is if these would be great for work outs. Apple doesn't state they are sweat proof or splash proof.

Fit: Fit has always been a issue for me, having small asian ears and even smaller ear canals. So with that said I have put peoples children through college at Comply for their foam tips. So far so good, with the initial sizing, and haven't fallen out while walking the dog tonight.

Pro: Magnetic connection is amazing. Traditional head phones i dangle around my neck either end up falling or end up tucked into my t shirt like I'm charging a pacemaker or something.

Con: It comes with possibly the worst made "carrying case". its hard to describe..... its a rubber bean shaped thing where you squeeze it open, and your supposed to stuff your headphones inside. Im OCD about my electronics, I've tried to fold it like in the video and its looks like a stuffed empanada. its doesn't offer any protection. I think I'm gonna steal my bf PowerBeats2 case. that at least you can open and close that and gives you a sense of protection. Removing the headphones from its "rubber bean" isn't easy either. You have to yank them out. you can't even turn it upside down, shake them out onto your palm. This is no bueno.

All in all its a good value and 4/5 stars. The rubber non-closure bean, squeeze to open thing is a miss on so many levels.

    Ignore reviewers.

They do not sound flat, they have an incredible sound and bass.
To be completely honest, the only thing they should've improved is the length, they're too long in my opinion, but they won't get in your way. They just look a little weird.
They are amazing and you should definitely consider getting these.

    Beats X

I have to say when I bought my Beats X and put them on the sound quality on them are really, really, really bad, I try to give them a chance playing around with the setting on both my phones and I couldn't stay with the for the life of me. when I say it's really bad, I mean it. I myself am a d.j. I was looking forward to the great sounds out of them. I had a pair Powerbeats 2 and they sounded great but not the Beats X. Don't waste your money on them, wait for the second version they might them sound much better than the 1st version. Sorry, Apple you missed the ball with this one. And for those of you say they sound great and giving it 5 stars you must have a hearing problem because they are really, really, really, really bad. When I returned my pair one of them associate told me, four other people before me had returned theirs

By far the best bluetooth earphones I've used.

I've been using a pair of Jaybird X3's for six months, and before that a pair of Jabra Rox Wireless for a year. Both had relatively good sound, but poor battery life and constant wireless interference when walking down the street in New York. Since getting the BeatsX a week ago, I've had zero interference issues. Walking through intersections where my audio would completely cut out, I have no issues. Sound is pretty good, and so is battery life. The only issue I have is that the power button is on the narrow edge of a lozenge shape, so it's awkward to use.

So far so good! Sound is fantastic, build quality is great, and pairing....well the W1 is fantastic! Mac, Phone, iPad, Watch.... seamless! It plays a nice switching noise when you initiate the source change. Now I can stop being jealous of my EarPod owning friends!

    Disappointed after the long wait

Waited a long time from these being announced before I could get my hands on them and sadly I don't think they were worth it. Firstly, the good, they were a great fit straight out of the box for me, very comfortable and secure in the ear, the isolation is excellent letting very little noise in on my commute.
But, whoever designed the cable needs a talking to, it's way too long and so rigid it either sticks out like a pair of wings on the side of your head or the remote is slapping you in the face as you walk. Sound quality is a very personal thing so I'll only say it didn't overly impress me, can’t exactly put my finger on why but you’ll need to judge that for yourselves. I can't see the case doing much to help the longevity of the earphones given the contortions you have to go through to squeeze them in.
I expected and hoped for better but alas they’ve been returned.

Best in-ear earphones I have ever had

Wow! These things are awesome. These are my first Bluetooth earphones and I was ready for a little degradation in sound quality. To my surprise they actually sound far better than any of the other earphones I have had because they fit my ear so well. Whatever loss in quality there might be due to being wireless is more than made up for with the excellent fit. And I don't think it is just my ears. My wife also thinks the fit is outstanding.

They also have the new W1 chip, ease of pairing with all my Apple stuff, and outstanding range. These are my new go to earphones, hands down. Despite the price I will be buying a second pair to keep in my briefcase.

    My first Beats product.

This is my first Beats product. i previously owned the JayBird X3 and i was happy with the sound but not the battery life and the way you charge it. So i ended up returning them. I bought the BeatsX a few days ago and i said to my self you have two weeks to try them before you return them. My only true concern was the sweat-proof feature that is not been mentioned anywhere in the product! I would have bought the PowerBeats3 that being advertised as waterproof and sweat-proof plus 12hours of battery life. But they don't charge via lightning cable...and thats why i wanted to try the BeatsX. I love the ease to charge all my devices with one cable.
The sound is amazing, loud as they have to be, isolating the outside noise perfectly and you don't even feel them around your neck or the cables. The connection is fast and easy, the battery life is not 8 hours but a solid 5-6 with constant use which is fine, gets me through the day. With a 40min charge they're fully charged.
As far as the sweat-proof thing i think its a marketing trick to guide consumers into other products too. I mean i had headphones in the past that were not advertised as sweat-proof and i wore them at the gym sweat like a pig and never had any issue.. worst case scenario if anything happens i have a year warranty. Im fine with that!
Seriously, these earphones are AMAZING! I love them.. BUY THEM.

    Not worth the hype

I really wanted to like these. I read the reviews, I watched the review videos. These headphones were going to solve my corded headphone woes. Sadly this was not the case. The sound was flat. The bass was decent for small headphones, but the headphones that came with the iPhone 6 sounded much better. So besides flat sounding music (the highs were not crisp), the neck cord transmits all the rustling of your clothes against the cord. The apple wired headphones do transmit some of the rustling, but no where as much and it isn't as pronounced as the Beats X. The packaging is really nice, he headphones feel well made, but the sound is just lacking and sound is the reason you buy headphones. These are $19 headphones in a $150 body.

    Worth the wait

Worth the 5 ½ month wait.

Great fit, I use the smallest tips + the wingtips just for added security. Nice sound no distortion you sometimes can get with a bluetooth connection.

Only downfall would be not loud enough but then it probably is designed so you don't damage your hearing with them being in-ear headphones.

Great background noise cancelling even though they aren't noise cancelling headphones.

Do not wast your money on these. This is the worst product I have ever purchased from Apple. The pair I received would not stay paired for more than a few minutes. So much for the miracle W-1 chip. Try and make a call....nothing but distortion after 3-4 minutes. The buds do not fit well. I called AppleCare and they think something is wrong with the Bluetooth circuit. Well they can't replace them for over a week. Sound is okay at best. Hardly any volume too.
