Best all round headphones I've ever owned.

I've tried so many different headphones to listen to use mainly for hands free calls but also listening to music on and these are by far the best I've had. The battery life is amazing and the 5 minute charge for 2 hours use is incredible. I even wear them round my neck all day long when I'm in the office for calls. I'd go so far as to say the best headphones I've owned for every day use and especially if you want to use them for calls on your iPhone. I also own the Beat Studio Pro's which is better for listening to music, but you can't wear those all day long like these Beats X.

Great and all that but one annoying issue!

I know there are ton of benefits and I love them but personally, one big issue.

The earphones drop an active connection when an another device turns on to which they are paired.
I don't know who is responsible here but its highly annoying when I'm on a call and I turn on my laptop and my call goes like "Hello ??? Hello ????"

that in no scenario is an easy life.

My new Beats X were great until they just stopped working!

I would like someone to contact me about my new Beats X headphones. I have owned them for 2 months and they suddenly stopped working. I am very disappointed in the quality for the amount of money I spent on these.

Seek help from apple but nothing they can helped. Beats, please make a statement about this issue and there's hundreds of people asking the same question and having the same issue on apple's FAQ. Very disappointed

Summer time and the BeatsX are cooler

I bought some Beats Solo3 Wireless at Christmas, but now the summer seems to have come there too hot for daily use.
As I am happy with the combability and ease of use with my iPhone the BeatsX were my first choice for a cooler sound.
I can't honestly say either pair offer top quality sound but traveling and shopping don't provide a good listing environment and there both good for that.
A lot of reviews I've read talk about the BeatsX being too long, I have to agree that when hanging not in use they are long but in use, I'd have liked them slightly longer

    Could be better

Purchased on 5/9/2017 and today 5/25/2017 they wont turn on or charge. Ive tried to reset them and still nothing... $150 is a lot of money to waste on a product that is supposed to be a top of the line product.... now I have to be inconvenienced by sending them back to apple and wait for them to do something about it. BTW the battery life does not give 8 hours of playback I was only getting about 4 hours before they died on me.

    Great value

I purchased these headphones as an alternative to AirPods and I love them! The sound quality is amazing, no issues with calls and I like the chord between. In terms of fit, it did take me a while to find the right fit but once I tested the wing tips, I have no issues with them falling out. I believe they're great value for money.

    Don't waste your money

At first, I loved them. They connect so fast to your phone and the range is amazing. So good I would forget where my phone was because I could walk so far away from it. They stopped working one month after I had them. I've had them replaced 3 times since Feb 2017. I don't recommend them for people that train hard. They don't stay in my ear well and I'm pretty sure my sweat is why they stopped working all 3 times. My boyfriend has had his replaced 3 times since Feb 2017 as well. The battery doesn't last as long as advertised and his stopped charging completely. Don't waste your time or money on these if you train hard and plan on using them daily.

    Better than Hoped

I bought these because I just upgraded to the iPhone 7 and use my iPhone nearly all day for conference calls, meaning it needs to be charging for most of the day, so the included earbuds are useless. I also use my computer for a fair number of web-conferences on my Macbook Pro during the day, so sharing one headset with that would be convenient. I also needed reliable gym headphones. These seemed like they would fit all purposes, and they did -- better than expected.

    The Good Stuff:
*Setup is a piece of cake.
*Switching between the iPhone and the Mac is very fast and painless. Fast enough that you can do it in time to answer an inbound call.
*They are very comfortable, and once you pick the right eartips and wingtips, you can leave them in pretty much all day.
*If you want noise cancellation, these aren't that, but the tight seal of the eartips does keep most of the outside world out.
*The fast charge is nice. I've used it more than once.
    *'Hey Siri' works great.

Less Good Stuff: Note that I gave 5 stars while you read these -- they are minor
*You need to take the time to try all the different eartips. For the first 2 days I was convinced I would return these because they sounded tinny with no bass. It was simply because I didn't have a good seal because I was using the wrong tips. Once I got the right ones, these sound better than my old Bose in-ears. Spend an hour or two with each pair, and don't be shy about seating them all the way into your ears.
*They really aren't great at the gym. The weight of the collar piece is great when you are standing, running, or face-down, but if you lie on your back like you would on a bench, the weight will pull even the tightest seal out of your ears after a few reps. I also found myself worrying about the amount of sweat getting around the mic and charging port. Stick to the earbuds for the gym since you can't charge there anyway.
*For those used to the standard earbuds, it takes a few days to get used to the controls being on the left instead of the right. I don't know why they had to make these different.
*The downside of the passive noise cancellation from the eartip seal is twofold: 1) when talking, you can only hear your own voice from inside your head -- so you always sound to yourself like you have an ear infection, and it's tricky to tell if you are speaking too loudly or too softly, and 2) you cannot hear other vehicles or your environment when driving. I find myself removing the non-mic earpiece when driving for safety.
*The mic is even worse in the wind than the wired earbuds with even a mild breeze creating noise, and some reported that the noise gate was a bit pronounced, clipping the first bit of sound each time I started speaking.

So, despite all the knocks, these are a 5-star if you take the time to get the eartips right.

    Just get AirPods

The only benefit of these over the AirPods is that you look a tiny bit less dumb wearing them, and it's not even that big of a difference the way the wire on these curls around your ear. The feel of the cord on the back of my neck is pretty annoying too. I find myself taking them off before I'm done listening to stuff because they're so annoying to wear. The rubber material is a bit clingy and they're constantly in just the wrong position. The sound quality is slightly better than my previous $30 pair of Bluetooth headphones, but I wouldn't say that adds any value, since those have lasted me a few years and still show no sign of age, and these ones lasted a couple months before stopping working. When I plug them in, the light blinks red, and when I take them off, they do nothing. They were literally fine one moment, I plugged them in because I was going to bed, and in the morning they didn't work. Judging by reviews and stuff, I'd say the most you can expect to get out of these is 2-3 months if you're really lucky.

Battery doesn't charge anymore, just a month from I bought

Just a few weeks after bought it, I have tried to recharge it, a red LED is blinking forever. I have waited one-hour on charging, but the red LED still blinking and the battery have not charged yet. I have thought there is a problem on my BeatsX. I payed $150 in this earphones and cannot use it. Absolutely disappointed.

    Terrible sound quality

The marketing for BeatsX earphones is excellent. The problem is that the reality does not match up to it. The sound quality is truly appalling. I honestly could not believe it. There is literally no bass. The earphones sound tinny and suck the life out of most music. Acceptable if you only intend to listen to the spoken word, but given that the "reputation" Beats has is rooted in music (a bass-heavy sound at that), it is astonishing that they have the gall to charge £130 for a product that sounds like a £10 headset. I wonder if they'll keep this review posted or even bother to get in touch with me to offer some form of solution - they have my email address...

    Not bad

The quality of sound is really good, but one of the earphones irritates my ears because it is rubber.

Runners! this review Is for YOU

These headphones are awesome for The weight room but for running it might be questionable. For future beats ex I think the cord needs to be a lot shorter especially for people who are small like me. If the cord was similar to the Powerbeats the headphones would be perfect. I am a runner and I was excited to try out these headphones with my Apple Watch but today as I was going on a faster run more of a sprint/fast jog the length of the headphone string seemed to be too long and flopped all over my neck which forced me to hold onto the cords and adjust it constantly! These headphones sound great and are super awesome in the weight room but I am pretty bummed that they aren't really successful well I am running.

    Best Wireless Earbuds for iPhone

Great set of wireless headphones if you are using them casually. They aren't sweat proof, so that's something to consider. But if you're an active traveler, I'd find it hard to argue for the money that you can find a better pair of wireless headphones. The W1 chip and lightning charging capability with fast fuel make them worth every penny. 5min gets you TWO hours of playback! On top of that, I've easily put over 7hrs of nearly continuous use without them dying. That makes them perfect for keeping wires out of your way when on a plane, in the airport, and walking to the next destination. Get these, you won't be angry. I would give them 5 stars if they had slightly more midrange and mid-low performance. But with that said, they sound good for what they are.

    Horrible user experience

I bought these as a dedicated set of headphones for running. What has ensued during my ownership is nothing short of not quite ready for primetime.

I am able to use this headset for one single use. That is I charge, turn it on, pair it, and everything works great. Then I turn them off. When I go to turn them back on, long story short, I have to delete their profile from my phone and re-pair them so everything works again. If I do not delete the profile and re-add them, when they turn on, they aren't fully connected to the phone. You get no headset icon in the status bar. But when a phone call comes in the phone app thinks the headset is there. If I choose the use the beats on the active call, the connection never gets made. A timeout is reached and then the phone call reverts back to phone. While these are in la la land, I am able to turn up other bt headphones and they work fine. the issue is this headset. Once I delete their bt profile and re-add them, they're fine again until I turn them off.

This product needed significantly more testing. This should not happen. By contrast I own the Beats Solo 3 and those are phenominal.

    Broke down completely!

Less than 2 months out and the earphones broke down. Nothing could fix it. Apple store provided a replacement, which I ain't sure if I'll be getting a new or a refurb! disappointed. May be I had the defective piece. Lets see how long the replacement goes on for.

Sound is great - fall out of my ears though

I love the sound, the overall idea, and how well it works with Apple products, but the part that goes in your ear constantly falls out and/or I am constantly pushing them back in. I've tried all of the different sizes. Almost wish they made a hard ear bud instead of these rubber ones. Maybe accessories down the road?
