No longer work after only 5 months

I bought these and they were absolutely perfect. I always take good care of my electronics and was really excited to try this pair by beats. They come with little metal parts that hold them in place in the ear. There are 2 sets and on the first set, the silicone portion came off because they were not well designed. After that, I put on the second set hoping that it would do better. They were working fine until the headphones just started shutting off after only 10 minutes of playing, even when they have been fully charged. They won't turn on after they have played for the 10 minutes, which is absolutely ridiculous. I was hoping for an awesome products and received one that no longer works after only 5 months.

One of the best products (after Powerbeats3) i've ever bought

The best there is...!! I had bought Beats X after buying Powerbeats 3 which was recommended to me by a friend... It's built mostly for leisure and Powerbeats is built for athletics...

    Very bad sound

Got my earphones this week and I am about to return them. Sound quality is really bad, especially if you look at the price tag. Compared to my wired Beats, they sound like a tin can.

Otherwise not impressed with the design (mini button to turn them on) or wearing comfort. Very mediocre product.

    Excellent Earbuds!

I've read the reviews about audio quality being a bit "tinny" and lacking the bass and rich sound Beats products are known for; but once you adjust and experiment with the tip sizes and even the wing tips that are included, your opinion will change. Great for the gym as well, if it swings around everywhere just wear them backwards and then cross them into an "X", they'll stay in place. Owned several pairs of Beats in the past, this is my favorite pair by far.

    Awful for Running

I gave these a chance for a few months, but they're definitely not made for runners. The weighty cord sits on your shoulders and bounces with every step, so i am constantly hearing the thuds in the headphones throughout my run, which sometimes I can ignore but still a nuisance. It also moves sometimes to one side so it is irritating to have to straighten it. My other qualm is that they do not stay in with any sign of moisture, which unfortunately tends to happen while running. I find myself constantly pushing them back into my ears at the smallest sign of sweat. If one falls out at this point i just leave it out tucked into my shirt or give up on listening. All in all do not recommend for runners.

    Very easy to use

Ultra iPhone-friendly. Really, turn them on, turn on Bluetooth. That’s all. Besides such a good compatibility, it is a good choice for everyday headphones since apart from having a very Good sound, I can notice that they are comfortable and lasts long enough not to change them during the day. But even you run out of charge it takes few minutes, after which beats can be used for another hour or two

W1 chip is cool but overall poor quality as an Apple product

I had them just for 2 months until they broke down and one side became louder than the other.now i’m waiting for repair.. I just used them very regularly for walking, I didn’t do any sports or any high activity with them. The sound chip is excellent. But overall I expect much more from this price range and Apple.. maybe they will improve it with beatsX 2

Lemon Alert- Do not buy these earphones

Take a look at the reviews for this. There is a common problem where the unit will fully charge but fail to power up. It happened to me in 4 months of purchasing the unit. Then Apple gave me a replacement and after 4 Months it happened again. It’s no fluke- check out how many posts for this unit have exactly the same problem. Apple should recall these and stop selling them. Buyer beware!

    Comfortable but terrible sound quality

I’ve seen a lot of reviews saying how comfortable and great sound they are but let me tell you YES they are comfortable but the sounds quality it’s terrible honestly I would just stick with the apple headphones that comes with the phone They’re way better sounding $150 not worth $20 apple headphones are better save yourself the money

    Great product

I use these earphones for the gym, my commute to work, and to school. They last all day on one single charge. Ive heard a lot of people complain they broke after 2 weeks or a month. Ive had mine for over 5 months and they still work perfectly fine. just take care of them. Love the product.

    Changing Beats

I got these for free with an iPhone X order with EE (UK). I wouldn't have bought them myself, because of my past experiences with Beats headphones but they have replaced my existing earbuds.

To me they are great. Far more neutral (still not completely neutral) sounding than the other Beats headphones I've spent time with. All the expected amount of accessories included. They're not my SE535s, but they serve a different purpose altogether. Pairing with Apple products is seamless.

Overall, a showcase of what happens to a product when Apple gets involved in R&D.

Sound quality great, but they keep disconneting!

I love the sound beatsx give, but while they’re connected obviously. I’ve had my beats for about 2 months majority of the time they keep disconnecting from my iPhone 7. The software is up to date so I have no clue whats wrong

Great for Music but not for Phone Calls

The BeatsX, when used with proper choice of plugs and the little plastic piece that keeps it in the ear, is great for music. Deep bass, good tonal quality and easy to use. I like the neck band with magnets that keep it in place. However, when used as a microphone, it must be loosened from the ear or else you feel as if you are talking into a chamber with no feedback from outside. This makes it difficult to switch between music and phones. The other problem is the weird positioning of the on-off switch that makes it difficult to connect and turn off to different devices. That was just one star off. The second star off is that with the pair I got and with my iPhone 8, switching between Apps (Music to FaceTime or Music to Phone) sometimes does not work at all. I am sending my pair off for repair and I hope it gets fixed. I think I am getting AirPods.

    Sounded great when it worked

These earphones are actually better than i expected when i bought them and they worked great for the 6 months i have owned them but earlier last week the earphones began to malfunction, when i tried to turn them on the power light just flashed white 3 times and won't switch on so i plugged it into power thinking it ran out of juice but the red light started flashing red and white so i thought to unplug it but then it wouldn't switch on altogether, but then for some odd reason they started working after a while but just today it stopped working again. All i am trying to say is that it would be great for a device that cost 129.99 to be built to a higher standard but I've owned beats products that have lasted me a shorter amount of time.

    Bad Earbuds

I really don't like these, I had another set before and it might just be that I have odd shaped ears but I just can't seem to get them to stay in. I got these for running and they fall out when I'm just sat still so no chance when I actually run. Very disappointed
