    Disappointed after the long wait

Waited a long time from these being announced before I could get my hands on them and sadly I don't think they were worth it. Firstly, the good, they were a great fit straight out of the box for me, very comfortable and secure in the ear, the isolation is excellent letting very little noise in on my commute.
But, whoever designed the cable needs a talking to, it's way too long and so rigid it either sticks out like a pair of wings on the side of your head or the remote is slapping you in the face as you walk. Sound quality is a very personal thing so I'll only say it didn't overly impress me, can’t exactly put my finger on why but you’ll need to judge that for yourselves. I can't see the case doing much to help the longevity of the earphones given the contortions you have to go through to squeeze them in.
I expected and hoped for better but alas they’ve been returned.

Best in-ear earphones I have ever had

Wow! These things are awesome. These are my first Bluetooth earphones and I was ready for a little degradation in sound quality. To my surprise they actually sound far better than any of the other earphones I have had because they fit my ear so well. Whatever loss in quality there might be due to being wireless is more than made up for with the excellent fit. And I don't think it is just my ears. My wife also thinks the fit is outstanding.

They also have the new W1 chip, ease of pairing with all my Apple stuff, and outstanding range. These are my new go to earphones, hands down. Despite the price I will be buying a second pair to keep in my briefcase.

    My first Beats product.

This is my first Beats product. i previously owned the JayBird X3 and i was happy with the sound but not the battery life and the way you charge it. So i ended up returning them. I bought the BeatsX a few days ago and i said to my self you have two weeks to try them before you return them. My only true concern was the sweat-proof feature that is not been mentioned anywhere in the product! I would have bought the PowerBeats3 that being advertised as waterproof and sweat-proof plus 12hours of battery life. But they don't charge via lightning cable...and thats why i wanted to try the BeatsX. I love the ease to charge all my devices with one cable.
The sound is amazing, loud as they have to be, isolating the outside noise perfectly and you don't even feel them around your neck or the cables. The connection is fast and easy, the battery life is not 8 hours but a solid 5-6 with constant use which is fine, gets me through the day. With a 40min charge they're fully charged.
As far as the sweat-proof thing i think its a marketing trick to guide consumers into other products too. I mean i had headphones in the past that were not advertised as sweat-proof and i wore them at the gym sweat like a pig and never had any issue.. worst case scenario if anything happens i have a year warranty. Im fine with that!
Seriously, these earphones are AMAZING! I love them.. BUY THEM.

    Not worth the hype

I really wanted to like these. I read the reviews, I watched the review videos. These headphones were going to solve my corded headphone woes. Sadly this was not the case. The sound was flat. The bass was decent for small headphones, but the headphones that came with the iPhone 6 sounded much better. So besides flat sounding music (the highs were not crisp), the neck cord transmits all the rustling of your clothes against the cord. The apple wired headphones do transmit some of the rustling, but no where as much and it isn't as pronounced as the Beats X. The packaging is really nice, he headphones feel well made, but the sound is just lacking and sound is the reason you buy headphones. These are $19 headphones in a $150 body.

    Worth the wait

Worth the 5 ½ month wait.

Great fit, I use the smallest tips + the wingtips just for added security. Nice sound no distortion you sometimes can get with a bluetooth connection.

Only downfall would be not loud enough but then it probably is designed so you don't damage your hearing with them being in-ear headphones.

Great background noise cancelling even though they aren't noise cancelling headphones.

    Horrible!

Do not wast your money on these. This is the worst product I have ever purchased from Apple. The pair I received would not stay paired for more than a few minutes. So much for the miracle W-1 chip. Try and make a call....nothing but distortion after 3-4 minutes. The buds do not fit well. I called AppleCare and they think something is wrong with the Bluetooth circuit. Well they can't replace them for over a week. Sound is okay at best. Hardly any volume too.

    The Best Beats Are Here

Since the merger I have been waiting for a product that could show the quality that both companies are capable of making. Tried the power beat 3, and the solo 3 models and wasn't honestly impressed. Beats X is what I have been waiting for all the quality plus lightning charger compatibility! Love everything about these headphones!!! They have taken the spot of my bose soundsport headphones!!

Almost as awesome as Studio wireless 2.0

Pros: Comfortable, lightweight, easy to pair, charges quickly, fantastic sound quality, and beautiful. Cons: Can only control volume on smart devices. No independent volume control. Will max volume for standard Bluetooth transmitters in TVs and sound systems.

    Worth the wait

When I bought my new iPhone a few weeks ago I researched the different wireless earbud options. I wear glasses so I didn't want an over the ear type and the Apple ones are uncomfortable and wouldn't stay in my ears. I wanted great sound and the ability to answer calls and use Siri, too. I was so excited to find these. They had everything I was looking for. What? Wait. They're not available yet? Well, it was only a couple weeks and I survived. They're so awesome and definitely worth the wait. The sound is incredible. I can't wait to use them at work on Monday.

Solid clarity, excellent comfort, good looks, lightning input, solid W1

Airpods are great but fit isn't for everyone. When moving around, they have a sneaky way of becoming disloged. Enter BeatsX, which have supremely balanced sound (not the usual bloated Beats bass of the past), excellent comfort (the rigid neck cable is infinitely better than a hard plastic one), battery life solid for a continuous day of use (8 hours or so), and quick charge via a lightning input so you don't have to carry an extra cable. All together, this makes for a great package, particularly with the W1 chip also in the other "3" series Beats headphones and the AirPods. Range is my entire apartment without a drop, and quick pairing to all my Apple devices. The 3 months of extra Apple Music ($30 value) included is just a great perk. Worth buying, especially with Apple's 14 day return policy.

    Dont Bother

I've had the wired Bose in ear headphones for a couple years now. I wanted to try bluetooth and went with these BeatsX. I couldn't return them fast enough. The music (compared to Bose) sounded like I was listening through a tin can. Please heed my warning....

    Love this product.

Noise isolation, in-line controls and great sound make these a far superior choice to AirPods. Also, you do not look like a complete moron wearing these. The product is well-made and the Bluetooth performance with the W1 chip is amazing. Bluetooth range is awesome, I have no issues anywhere in my house. Call quality is very good, people on the other end of the line do not complain and can hear me just fine. Also I love that please charge with the lightning cable. My only complaint is I wish they would automatically go into standby mode when you are not wearing them.

    Finally!

Great Sound. Love the choice of earbuds. Only concern is when the magnetic earbuds connect around my neck, the music does not turn off. I don't want my music to continue playing when it is not in my ears.

    Bad Sound quality

I am kind of disappointed with Beats. Even though the built in software is very well developed together with iOS 10, and all the cool stuff like quick charge and long battery life they just not do well what they are supposed to. I was hoping that they would have the same sound quality as any Beats, however, later on I found out that they did not. The sound is very sharp and really not soft, specially when playing music that have bass on it, and considering the price $200CA after taxes it does not really worth it.

Awkward for stretching, abs, & bench workouts....

Loving the Beats so far, but workouts that put you flat on your back (abs, stretching, benches) make them fall off your neck. Wish they worked in every position!

    Good Earbuds

I've been waiting for these to come out since they were announced. They're my first pair of Beats so wasn't sure what to expect. Overall I'm happy with them. The sound is great. They're light and comfortable and I really like the magnetic earbuds that stay together when they're not in your ears. However, the one major disappointment is the wingtips. There isn't a single earbud ever made that will stay in my ears without using wingtips. The two included with the BeatsX are pretty much useless. They're both too small and provide very little security. I wish there were larger options as well a bit more durable to help stay in place.

    Holy Cow!

So I was one of the lucky people to order and receive Apple AirPods shortly after launch. But that fit... boy was I disappointed, just didn't fit my ears... So after many months of waiting, I pulled the trigger on BeatsX minutes after they were put on sale. I'm SO HAPPY! -- the W1 chip is awesome, pairing with Apple devices is just pure joy but the most important parts... 1) Sound: INCREDIBLE and I own multiple Bose headphones which I loved the sound on. I have to say for wireless, these are THE BEST sounding wireless headphones, period. 2) FIT: AMAZING! The customizable ear tips make this perfect and in fact if you pick the right one, they create such an amazing ear seal that I feel these are just as good if not BETTER than my Bose noise canceling earbuds... LOVE THEM! Well done Beats & Apple, home run.

    Better than Powerbeats

BeatsX fee like I'm wearing nothing at all, nothing at all, nothing at all, while Powerbeats can sometimes get uncomfortable. I'm really enjoying the new W1 chip in Apple's new wireless headphones, the power regulation and stability of bluetooth connection are both unequalled in my experience. If you are trying to choose between these and Powerbeats, choose these, unless the few extra hours battery life or water resistance is especially important to you.
