    Poor quailty

I am a apple fanboy, but the quailty of this product is terrible. 7 Months in and the corners are already cracked. Very disappointed

    Really bad

My mother and I both have this case and it's very poorly made. All corners have chipped away within 6 months.

I have been using apple case for my iPad 3 and 4, with no problem but not this one. The corner has cracked and can not provide protection any more. Unfortunately I can not recommend this case to anyone has iPad pro.

    Garbage Case

I've owned Apple products for well over 10 years, and have used Apple brand covers for my Iphones, macs, Ipads and IPad Pro. All the covers served me well, protected my devices and remained in one piece throughout the life of the device. All except this one, the case for the IPad Pro.
It turned out to be defective and a piece of garbage in the end. The corners began to chip, and then crack and now both the right side corners have fallen apart. I noticed that other reviews described the same problem and Apple of course, will not admit there was an inherent defect in the design and build of this case. Terrible customer service Apple!! And terrible case.

Sure, this case is nice enough, with a premium feel (although the price is still utterly ridiculous and Apple should be ashamed.
The main gripe I have with this case is that if you want full protection, you have to team it with a Smart Cover. Yes, they say it works perfectly with a Smart Cover in the description, but they do NOT say that if you want full protection you have to buy both.
Accordingly, and totally innocently, I now have a lovely new iPadPro that is covered...but not on the side with the smart connector, which is exposed, and the whole device is out of balance.
People might think "oh poor little love, complaining about his cover" but that would be missing the point. When you're spending this much on a piece of plastic, it's not unreasonable to assume that it would just DO ITS JOB, with no exceptions or stupid "design features", that necessitate purchasing ANOTHER expensive product.
I don't want a Smart Cover. I wanted to use the silicone case, and then a screen protector - as should be my prerogative.
For God's sake Apple - TELL PEOPLE about your products and what they are ACTUALLY like.

    ipad case and pricing policy

The case fits perfectly the iPad pro and that is all about the good about it. The price on the other hand is crazy and outrageous. Before the case for iPad air or the iPad before was something around 70 dollars for a complete product. For this Ipad for I don't know what reason ( the fact that appel is selling a keyboard or because not everyone need both top and bottom cover is not an excuse for me) apple is selling separately those.
On one side paying for an iPad and accepting to pay a premium price is good enough, on the other side charging for a accessory like a cover 89 canadian dollars, yes 89 dollars is ridiculous.
I'm so sorry for that one but please apple this is wrong decision by all means is a wrong marketing decision.
If you put 30 dollars on the iPad and ask then 50 dollars for a cover nobody will complain, but asking 89 dollars for a bottom plastic cover please look at this and for the future please fix this. Charging that kind of amount is not the way you should threat the loyal customers of the brand especially as I said for a basic accessory.
2 stars from me not because the product is bad but because of the price. It is not a rocket science but JUST a case

    Not worth the price

I've had the cover about 2 months now and just like others have said the corner is splitting. Never dropped or handled carelessly but cracking at the corner by the headphone jack. Feels and fits great but the quality is garbage.

Does not provide protection, tears easily, way over priced

Title pretty much says it all. The silicon cover is thin and does not provide any protection at all especially from accidents with drops less than 3 feet. Cover tears easily on the corners and once that happens, it always falls off.

This is an extremely expensive item despite the cost of manufacturing being extremely cheap for silicon cases.

Having owned one, I would gladly never purchase one again. There are better products out there at half the price.

Feels nice until a corner chips

I did like this case until the one corner chipped off (wasnt dropped or abused). Now everytime I feel the case it bothers me, apple also does not cover these cases unless it ships in the box with the ipad. So no replacement either the price is a little much to gamble if it is going to stay in perfect condition.

This case is a must-buy if you really want full protection

At first, I had the the Apple Keyboard with a different, cheaper back protector and I'm happy I got the genuine Apple silicone Back Case because when I accidentally dropped my iPad Pro 12.9" onto the floor, it protected it fully. It is carefully engineered to work with all ports without suppressing the loudness of the speakers. Apple hit a homerun with this as it keeps the iPad Pro lightweight, classy and very well protected.

$69.99 for just one back cover! Very disappointed with this purchase.

I was expecting both a back cover and a front Smart Cover with a price tag of $69.99. What I received was just a back cover, which I could have bought one clear back cover from Amazon that would show off my rose gold color iPad Pro for only $6.99. I should have gone to the Apple Store to check out what I was actually getting before buying it on the Internet. I am very disappointed for what I actually got for $69.99. Apple was not clear on the description of this case to be just the back cover and does not include the Smart Cover and neither did any of reviews posted on what I was going to get only the back cover. This review will clarify that only back cover will be received for all future readers of this review.

Great...until the corner started cracking like others have stated...

I for one was a big fan of the two piece case- it allowed me to switch off the keyboard for business use and the smart over for home/reading use.
However the back case is now cracking in the same corner that it seems is happening with most people. The corner nearest the headphone jack. I have no idea why this is happening and I baby all of my devices and accessories.
For the price this is absolutely unacceptable.
I will be reviewing my manufacturer warranty and looking to get this replaced before it completely comes apart.

    Pleased with Purchase

Reviewers may be right about the expense of the Case and Smart Cover, and you need both for proper protection, but I’m quite pleased with my purchase. Having rationalized big bucks for the iPad Pro, buying Apple accessories was easy to justify. They look classy, feel good (even better than the leather, IMHO), fit perfectly, and provide excellent protection. If you need a little extra travel protection, you can buy a functional 11.6” laptop sleeve for $9.99 on Amazon. I just leave it in my backpack and insert iPad, case, and cover, as needed, with room left over. Haven’t damaged one yet.

As for the fit, mentioned by others -- I found that the cover does extend a fraction beyond the edge, but only if for some reason you fold it backwards over the case. To hold vertically in one hand, perhaps? Not an issue for me.

I didn’t buy the Keyboard Cover at this time, mainly because I prefer the look of the Smart Cover and I’m not a high speed typist in any case. Maybe later, but in the meantime my Bluetooth keyboard will suffice, and I don’t mind saving a hundred bucks.

iPad Pro Case and Cover 9.7

Purchased both the case and cover due to very limited 3rd party options available. The price appears very high for what looks like a couple of bits of flimsy plastic but when you attach to your iPad you appreciate the quality of the products.

Would have liked to see a configuration tool to allow you to add different colours to both back/front to get an better idea of a colour mix option.

Rated as 4 star due to high price for both covers which I think is hard to justify.

Lovely feel to a smart case

After having an Apple SmartCase for my iPad Air for 3 years and being very impressed, it was a logical next step to buy this case for the iPad Pro. There are many excellent, luxury 3rd party cases available, but the simplicity of this Apple silicone case is what makes it so good. Its made from very good quality silicon that feels silky smooth. There is a nice lip over the front edge to protect the screen edge. It works well with the smart cover as well.

The only downside, and why I've not rated 5 stars, is that Apple made no attempt to cater for users who have an Apple Pencil as well. There is nowhere to store it, attach it, or protect it.

    Cracks after a few months

As others reported, my case has developed cracks by the headphone jack and lightning port... As a result it's not as snug as it once was, and for the price that's not ok. Expect 6 months use at best

    Perfect case

I had the leather case for my ipad air and I think that this silicone case for the ipad pro is at least of the same quality if not better.
It has a pleasant touch and color, and after two months of usage I can not say anything bad about it. It is a good Apple product and I highly rate it!

    Poor Quality

One of the corners cracked after owning it for only 45 days. The case had minimal use at home and was not dropped. I would look for other options.

Review for silicone case. O and its covers.

There are so many negative reviews out there for covers for the iPad Pro that I felt obliged to write this.
Firstly bought the key board cover for my iPad Pro which is an excellent product but always felt that the iPads back was vulnerable. I read negative reviews which stated that the quality of the new case was poor and it didn't work with the smart cover and this didn't work as a stand. I couldn't believe that the team at apple could get this so badly wrong. However I looked for a cover by another manufacturer. Couldn't find one that was not just cheap plastic or so bulky that it would have driven me mad. So in the end I ignored the negative reviews and bought both and both work just fine. The quality and feel is good and I now have confidence in taking my iPad out and about. Defeats the object of a portable computer if you just have it sat on your desk! The stand works well for such a large iPad and I expected this two part case to be bulky when handling but its not and handles well. I do feel that there is some protection for the corners which may get knocked and crack the screen if you are unlucky.

Now I couldn't find any reviews at the time as to wether the Key board cover works with the silicone case but to my joy it does so take heed, you don't need to buy a keyboard cover and a smart cover. I can see why Apple designed the case to be in two parts, it gives you the choice but to me this isn't clear when researching on the net, but again I could be just looking in the wrong place. A trip to the Apple store would have sorted this one out. About materials I prefer the feel of the silicone to the leather as its better for use as a drawing tablet. However I was worried that the case would be just silicone as I don't see the point in this. I had a cheap silicone case for my phone and dirt and grit just get between the silicone and the aluminium case and so you may as well not have a case at all. Everything moves and rubs together causing scratches. But no worries, the case is quite rigid and the inside has a soft protective layer. So don't do as I did, dilly around for weeks unable to make a decision. Its five stars to the iPad Pro cases and Keyboard, so get your hand in your pocket.
