Never thought I'd buy these, totally love them now.

My wired headphones kept falling off. An apple rep basically pushed me into wearing these and trying them out, bought them on the spot and have been using them for a few weeks, really really like them. They don't fall off, super well designed, work great and are very convenient when you have to be on multiple calls / day. Would recommend them although they're pricey.

    Another well-executed Apple product

Simple, efficient, and reliable. A use everyday sort of product that I’ve had for over a year now with virtually no issues. Well done, Apple.

    Wonderful Except Sometimes They Aren’t

Even from when I first opened the box, I was impressed. I didn’t really think the AirPods would connect to my phone straight away, but they did. They have amazing sound quality and hold a charge for quite awhile. They usually connect wonderfully, except sometimes they don’t. This happens maybe once every two months, but it’s still extremely frustrating. They will pop up on my phone with the little animation, but when I try to connect, it says to make sure they are turned on and in range. Sometimes a bit of troubleshooting helps, but other times they are very stubborn and will not connect that day. I guess they just need a day off sometimes because they work fine the next morning, even if I don’t charge them overnight.
Overall, the AirPods are a great product with a whole lot more wonderful aspects than negative ones.. I would definitely recommend.

    Great Product!

The Airpods have been my favorite headphones I have owned thus far. Being truly wireless is by far my favorite characteristic. Another nice feature is when you take one earbud out the music automatically pauses and then plays again when you put the earbud back in. I never have to worry about untangling the cords or having them get caught on something and ripped out of my ears. Also, the fear of losing them quickly goes away after you realize you never put them anywhere besides in your ears or back in the convenient, pocket-fitting charging case. The charging case holds a charge very well. I only have to charge it once or twice a week at most. The Airpods themselves lose charge quicker than the case but very quickly charge once put back in the case for just a few minutes. The connectivity has been astounding and I have never had any problem with them connecting to my phone or my Mac before. They are also very comfortable in my ear, I hardly ever realize they are there and never need to take them out to give my ears a break if I have had them in for a while. They fit very similar to the earbuds that come with your iPhone, so if those don’t fit you very well I wouldn’t recommend the Airpods.

A few downfalls would be that there is no way to adjust the volume unless you double tap the earbud and ask Siri to do it, or take your phone out to do so. I have an Apple watch which makes this not as big of a deal for me, since I can easily just turn the watch dial to adjust volume. My last critique would be they move around a little more while working out than I would enjoy. Other than these few critiques the Airpods have been great!

Tremendous product with high quality sound

Leave it to Apple to design some of the best ear buds on the market today. If you are looking for wireless headphones that not only look, feel, and sound great, but also hold an amazing charge, then these are the headphones for you. These are nearly identical to the Apple EarPods (wired) that you receive with your iPhone, however the AirPods are wireless, which allow you to feel free from that tangled mess.

I had been looking for wireless headphones a few months ago and I decided to try out the Apple AirPods, but they were nearly impossible to get right away during the holiday season. I ended up pre-ordering mine on the Apple website and received them a couple of weeks later. Now they appear to be available pretty much anywhere that sells them, and you should not have to wait any time to get them.

The AirPods are lightweight, smooth, and fit very comfortably. If you liked how comfortable the Apple EarPods felt in your ears, you will surely like these ones too. They mimic the exact same design, so they feel the same within the ears. Every pair of ear buds fit differently for each person, so if you have never had an iPhone and do not know how well these will fit, you could maybe try borrowing a pair from a friend, or possibly try a pair in a store that sells Apple products.

The sound quality of the AirPods is flawless. Your music will sound crisp and clear, and you will never have to worry about them blowing out. A very nice sound feature is that if you take one ear bud out, the music automatically stops, and continues once you put it back in. This allows you to not have to go to your phone at all to pause your music.

A potential challenge of these ear buds not being connected to one another is how easily they can be lost. Not only is each AirPod small, but the charging case is also small. Putting each AirPod into the case after using them can reduce the risk of losing them.

Each AirPod as well as the charging case holds a single charge. Combined, you will be able to use these headphones for up to 24 hours! The case is also wireless, so as long as you have the case and AirPods together, you should never have to worry about the headphones running out of battery.

All of these qualities are why I chose to give this product a 4 star review. The Apple AirPods will fit your specific needs and I highly recommend them if you are considering getting new headphones.

I was pretty pumped to get these. They seemed pretty awesome and i read up on them. When i got home i realized they werent the best and half the time it didnt instantly connect to devices.

synced them on my phone worked great, went to my iPad and the screen came up but the connection never switched over. went to my Mac and same thing. Skype audio doesnt work with these. i have to go to the settings and manually transfer them over from each device each time.

its said to be easier and convenient, but its just like any other bluetooth device. Also they keep falling out!!

They NEVER fall out of my ear and they are great quality. I do suggest cleaning the case once in a while but besides that, they are gold!

    These are a must buy!

The Apple Airpods are a revolutionary music listening tool that I would encourage you all to try for yourself. This product is good for the vast majority of listeners from casual to serious. The price of the Airpods is somewhat high, but they are worth every dollar, and here is why.

To begin, the Airpods are truly wireless. The two separate earbuds will fit great in your ear, the same way that normal Apple headphones would. The wireless feature saves you the stress of dealing with an annoying, tangled wire. Apple did a great job with the engineering of the connection settings on the product. As soon as you take the Airpods out of the charging case and put them in your ear, they automatically connect to your iPhone. This seamless connection makes listening to music or watching videos extremely easy.

Another neat feature occurs when both Airpods are in the case, and you are on your phone. By simply opening the case, a display will appear on your iPhone screen that shows the battery percentage of the case and each individual pod. This allows you to keep track of how much battery each ear has. The battery life is also solid to say the least. The charging case can keep battery for a few days and each Airpod keeps its charge for most lengths of listening time.

As far as the sound quality comes, I have no complaints. The sound is full, and music sounds good as ever. The Airpods are also somewhat noise cancelling, but you have the ability to turn down the volume to hear what is going on around you. The only sound issue is that you may not get the same bass quality as you might with headphones such as Beats Solo. For earbuds, however, you cannot beat the Airpods.

To continue with why you should buy the Airpods, they are very discrete and look nice in the ear. It is simple to wear these at anytime and they have a very modern, appealing look.

    DURABILITY 4.5/5
To conclude, the devices are very durable and in my experience quite weather resistant. I have dropped each pod and the case and have no problems. Furthermore, if you live in a place where it snows, have no fear! I have dropped an Airpod in the snow, dried it off, and had no problems with the device malfunctioning.

The Airpods are devices that I use everyday, and you should too!

    Highly Disappointed ‍♀️

I’ve been wanting a set of AirPods forever, I finally got them a birthday gift last month and I feel let down. The sound quality is ok, but the battery on the earbuds last no longer than 2-3 hrs at a time, I don’t know why but I was expecting more. Sometimes one would die before the other. The distance you can be away from your device is satisfactory And I find myself constantly pushing them back in my ears so I don’t lose them. I guess I was expecting more.

    OK sound - horrible controls

Music control with Airpods is HORRIBLE. Siri needs to be able to wake up DURING music. You should be able to say: "...hey Siri, lower the volume..." DURING music playback, and have it happen instantly. This whole idea of 1)Tapping, 2)Wait for Siri, 3) Give Siri command, 4) Wait for Siri to figure out how to do command then execute, 5) Unpause the music, is completely ridiculous. Compare that to my LG Tone: 1) Push volume button either up or down, 2) volume changes. LG wins hands down. Current Siri control of music is for the birds. I will probably sell these to someone else.

Forget about answering a phone call by putting an Airpod in your ear. They pair VERY slow and it won't work. This product is not ready for prime time.

    Edit one-August 2017
The AirPods are getting so bad I deducted a star. I just had a phone call where the call was breaking up because the phone was in my pocket! Yes they are that bad. Also, sometimes it takes over 30 sec for them to pair. Yes you read that right. 30 sec.

AirPods are NOT ready for prime time. I wouldn't even call this product a beta-more line an alpha version. Wait until they work out the kinks. Don't know when that will be but for now that are borderline unusable.

    Edit 2 - August 2017
Siri on the AirPods is horror show bad. What happened? I thought the mics on the AirPods were supposed to be super duper advanced. A lot of times it can't understand even simple commands. Also, very often you really have to bang the AirPods really hard to get Siri. Any guesses as to how annoying that is?

    Edit 3 - August 2017
Supposedly pairing being so easy is a big selling point. I have put one in my ear and had to wait 15 sec while it made multiple attempts to pair. So much for THAT I guess.

    Edit 4 - August 2017
Phone calls are horror show bad. The mics on these things may or may not be good, but people can BARELY hear me on phone calls. Sometimes they can. Sometimes not. Well, so much for using Airpods for phone calls.

I have a feeling the people who gave five stars did so because they didn't want to look like chumps for spending over $150 on something that barely works. Can't say I blame them - I feel cheated by Apple.

Edit 5 - OK it is official: the microphones on the AirPods are worse than bad. The slighest bit of background noise knocks out your ability to make phone calls. And Siri often either can’t hear you or understand you. These AirPods are for early adopters for whom the novelty of wireless separate speakers outweighs how well they work. I hope Apple wakes up and at least fixes the horrible abysmal speakers.

Edit 6 - This is the final entry. I lost the iPods. Of course there is no "Find my iPods" if they are in the case. One more thing to love about them I guess. What a relief. Back to using my LG Tone HBS-810. About 5000 times more convenient. Hey Apple, let me know when you have something that actually works.

I think it is the best Apple product since the MacBook Air! By far.
The magical experience of just taking it out of case and have it pair seamlessly with the Apple device is just magic. The ease of pairing with Mac afterward and the sound quality all make it the best $159 I could have spent.

    They fall out easily....

I really wanted to love these headphones and the sound is rather good, not the best that I have had, but decent. The real problem is they fall out without warning if you lean over or sometime just move around. For this price, I would expect a more universal secure fit. I consider my ears pretty normal I guess and I'm just disappointed. 3rd party companies make adapters I guess to help with the fit, but then they don't fit in the charging case. Just be aware.

Unreliable bluetooth connections with Apple Watch

They work great with my iPad and iPhone. They work OK with my Mac (sometimes audio is choppy). They barely work at all with Apple Watch - sometimes they can connect, sometimes they can't.

When I go running, I leave my iPhone at home and just wear my Series 3 Apple Watch and bring the Airpods. However, fairly often I wind up running with no music because the Apple Watch won't see the Airpods. Sometimes, some combination of toggling Airplane mode and turning the watch off and on helps, but it's not reliable enough for me to recommend to anybody who wants to use these with the Apple Watch.

I wasn't to sure about AirPods since they are truly wireless i didn't think they would stay in my ears. The stock earphones that are included with ios devices do not they fall out of my ears and are uncomfortable. AirPods on the other hand AMAZING!!! they fit in my ears and they don't fall out.Way better sound then my Beats X which now live in the famous junk drawer.

    Works best with Apple Watch

TBH, I was very skeptical to buy the AirPods. But they are the best headphones … I can only compare them to other Apple headphones I have owned. They are super comfortable, but I understand people’s ears are different. So if you find the wired headphones comfortable, then you are going to love them. I got the AirPods the same day I got my apple watch and it just enhances the experience. I changed the double-tapping to pause/play instead of summing Siri. Especially, since you can just say “Hey, Siri”. It would be nice a triple or single tap to add features like skipping or replay. But you can do that with your apple watch. The battery life exceeded my expectations. I haven’t lost them yet, but the Find my AirPods are a great feature to have in case it ever happens.

    Work great! Stay in place!!

My Apple AirPods have been great! Very good fit at least for my ears. I have been running with them. Haven’t lost a pod yet. Also was incredibly impressed that they stayed in place the other day when I was hit by a Honda Civic while riding my bike. I was able to tap for Siri to call my family while lying on the ground. The force of impact caused for the AirPod case to fall out of my pocket onto the road, bottles went flying from my bike, but the pods themselves stayed right in place. Very impressed.

    Uncomfortable and mediocre quality

True wireless is cool, but these are pretty uncomfortable. My main goal was to have these for running, but they are not stable and fall out, especially with sweat. Plus, because they don’t seal in your ear, you can hear all sorts of outside noise. The sound quality is pretty lacking. Bose Soundsport Free are worlds ahead.

Love these little fellas. I use them when I run as both wired and exercise earphones with minimal wire don’t work for me as the wire keeps getting in the way it’s annoying. So these AirPods have solved my problem finally. The sound is great too! Only issue I have is that when I run, sometimes I keep thinking one side is gonna fall out but so far it’s been good. Pricey, but I can see why. Would recommend if u don’t mind spending for hassle-free, idiot-proof pairing and convenience without wires. Like totally.
