    Just barely worth the price

I've had these for about three weeks now, and they're pretty good. They're well-built and designed fantastically, the way they work with the charging case is great, and they don't necessarily sound bad. Compared to Earpods, they have ever-so-slightly less definition in the highs and mids leading to a slightly muddier overall sound, but it's a comparison you'd only be able to make for the first 24 hours or if you're switching back and forth between the two. They're perfectly acceptable, almost bordering on good, and will sound great to most people. If you're an audiophile that uses mid- to high-end headphones while at home or sitting at a desk for work, however, you'll be disappointed by their small-ish range, apparent emphasis on lows, and lack of soundstage.

As for fit, these stay in my ear better than Earpods because there's no cable constantly pulling them down and out of my ears, a problem that made wired Earpods pretty much unusable for me. I've never tried running with Airpods, but I can confirm that shaking my head around violently wasn't enough to cause them to fall out, so take that for what it's worth. Pairing is also just as simple as people make it out to be, but it's easy to overlook just how seriously quick these connect to your phone. Because they start to connect as soon as you open the case, by the time you take even one out and put it in your ear, it's connected to your phone and ready to play music. It's almost scary how fast they are. Five hours of battery may not seem like a lot, but unless you're on a marathon work session or flying across the entire continental United States, five really is a reasonable number. Combined with the fact that they quickly charge whenever they're in their case, it'll seem like they're never dead.

All of this is to say that their best use case is...any situation where you'd use Earpods. That might sound obvious, but it's true; walking, biking, skating, on public transportation, possibly running, for sharing music with a friend, anything like that. Normally, that wouldn't justify the $159 ($172 after sales tax, by the way) price tag, but add the wireless connectivity, great battery life, and seamless connection and integration with your Apple devices, and they just manage to be worth the money (for me, at least). Having something as small, portable, and inconspicuous as these whilst being completely free of wires is one of the most liberating experience you'll have if you've never owned wireless headphones before.

ok so I've only had these for a few hours, but I have to say I am totally amazed rn. Like let's forget for a second all the complaints about "no improvement in sound from normal headphones" and "you have to put them back in the case" and "these sound the same." Now let's focus on how LITERALLY the sound can go through FREGGIN WALLS. I can finally listen to music while straightening my hair with out seating my headphone wires off! All while my phone is in my room charging!! (By the way this totally eliminates the can't charge and use headphones problem with the iphone 7. The AirPods never claimed to have " improved sound quality" they promised to be wireless. And they truly are!! Lastly, any other 90s or older kids here?! The reason I have zero complaints is because I'm having the same feeling with these as I did when I first traded in my Nokia flip phone for the first ever iPhone!! Again, THE FUTURE! so anyway only question I have is can you skip the song like you can with the normal earphones??

Connection fails all the time. Major hassle

I have a set of wireless earbuds from Plantronics that connect to my iPhone seamlessly. And I can switch them between my iPhone and Mac seemlessly. These Air Pods do none of that. Once I connect them to my Mac (which is not an easy thing to accomplish), I cannot get them to switch back to my iPhone, even when the Mac is shut down. In addition, I cannot tell if you have to have them in the charging case in order to get them to connect, or they have to be out of the case. The bluetooth sync button is on the case, so I guess they have to be in the case? If they were "it just works" Apple hardware, then re-connection to iPhone after use on a Mac should just happen, maybe if only by selecting which Audio output you want (on the Phone) - which I do, but they still won't connect. In order to get them to connect to what you want, when you want you basically have to put them in the case, Forget them on the device you want to connect to, and even sometimes disable and re-enable bluetooth on that device, and then go thru the whole procedure as if they were new - and even after that they do not connect. These are nothing but a huge hastle. $159 worth of junk and Apple blitzkrieg marketing.

    Excellent product!

I wasn’t a fan of these silly looking things. But I got them as a gift and tried it out. I gotta say I’m amazed how much tech they have stuffed into it. Sounds so good. Definitely worth it. I still think it looks kinda odd though.

    Apple AirPods
On my birthday, my mom brought me the new Apple AirPods. I’ve had them for several months now and I absolutely love them. The airpods makes setting up and listening to music simple and easy, connecting is simple, and the case is fantastic. If you enjoy the feel of the earpods, then the airpods are just the same, but without the wire tugging. I'll admit I was skeptical about the AirPods when they were first announced and figured it was more Apple hype. However, One thing I was worried about was the "one size fits all" aspect of the pods but they really feel rather comfortable in my ears.
The aspect that I was surprised by is the sound quality. It was better than I expected and much better than the included Earpods that came with my iPhone. I listen to a lot of music, especially on the loud subway, and these are by far the best listening device I own. Deep bass and clear treble make these comparable to many other high quality earbuds, wireless or not.
he 5 hour battery life might seem a little, but I don't believe any human being will be actively listen to audio for 5 straight hours. The case itself charges the pods, and it's usually done in 20 minutes. just don’t use them for a few minutes and let them charge in the case will make it last an entire day.
The price is a little too much. It’s $159 to be exact and if you lose one, you will have to pay $69 for a new side. However, compared to the big names like :Samsung $199, Sol Republic $179, Skybuds $219, they are worth the price and even better than the other brands.
    The Case:
The case allows each AirPods to be inserted in just one way, making it very easy to distinguish the right earpiece from the left. The case is really handy and don’t a lot of space. You can so easily fit it in your pockets.
the bluetooth connection is very strong, it would go up to and beyond 30-50 feet. I usually would connect the AirPods to my phone and leave my phone in the kitchen, and walk around the house freely without worrying that it would disconnect.
In conclusion, I would strongly recommend buying those AirPods, because of how handy they are, and how simple it is to use. Sadly, I forgot mine when I traveled to Iraq, but hopefully I’ll buy a new pair. I am truly satisfied with the product Only thing I didn't like was it doesn't come with a cleaning cloth, and also wish they came in variety of colors. Other than that the sound is great and it's a great product!

Why Apple should invest in tracking systems.

This pair of earbuds has the worst quality I have used. Also Apple should invest in a tracking system for the AirPods, when you go to find my iPhone it only gives you the location of where they are now. If you lose an AirPod you should be able to see where that particular one is on the map, now just both. In my opinion buy them if you want to lose them.

Much better than expected - but BAD APPLE for selling pre-used as new!

Bought these primarily for running and listening to podcasts when nodding off in bed. They perform much better than expected and the lack of wires is so much more of a benefit than you imagine. My only big gripe is that when running they don't stay in. I tried a silicon lead from Amazon which doesn't really help as the movement of the lead when running tugs them out of your ears still.

I then bought some silicon attachments that go over the buds. They now work perfectly when running. The only snag is having to slip them on and off to put them back in the case. Two suggestions for improvements would be volume control by touch, and a large case to cater to silicon bud attachments. A more discreet colour would also be good, because lets face it, you look a bit of a tool wearing these.

One particularly good thing is how seamless it works with Apple watch (ie volume). Mic is also v good for calls.

I would have given these five stars but for the need for silicon bud covers, and also the fact that the first pair I got were clearly very well used. The case had lots of micro scratches on it. It's disappointing that Apple is selling supposedly new, boxed and wrapped products that have clearly already had quite a bit of use. I expect that from an in warranty phone replacement, but certainly not for a first purchase. So first pair went back straight away.

    Best Apple product accessorie ever

I just got my Airpods, 2 weeks ago, and I have been loving them. Besides my iPhone this is my most used apple product I own. I love how fast it is from grabbing the case out of my pocket, to when I'm listing to music. I haven't had my Airpods or the case die yet and I have only been charging them once every 2-3 days. I was quite happily surprised of how great they are.

    Better than expected!

These wireless earphones do the job better than any of the high-end products I've been looking at. I've been skeptical about absolutely zero wires but have fallen in love with them. They perfectly sync with the iPhone 5s that I am still using. The feature that pauses music or podcasts when I take one out is amazing.

Purchased these for the gym, they are the best headphones I’ve ever used and I’ve used beats and all. Very clean sounds with good bass. If you workout and are looking for headphones buy these over anything

I brought these because I was fed up of being shackled with the earphones that came with my iPhone, sound quality while not amazing is much better than the stock headphones that come with  devices, they are easy to set up. They just work!! What I really like is they work with my iPhone, Mac, Watch and TV and they change automatically to whatever device im playing music on. Well worth buying.

Tough Enough to Survive A Full Clothes Wash Cycle

Purchased my set of AirPods (my first set of wireless ear buds ever) to go along with a new X. After a week's worth of use they had survived, outside of the charging case, a full cycle inside a front loading clothes washing machine unharmed. Great sound. No issue with intermittent disconnections even when more than 30ft away from the phone. Quality product.

Don't waste your money because you will waste your time

I've had air pods for 3-4 months now. They're cool and have many features that other headphones have not had (such as pausing music when you take one out, or skipping a song if I tap my right headphone twice) Sweet. The amount of time I have spent trying to pair these headphones with my different Apple devices is despicable. I just spent 15 minutes trying to pair the headphones with my laptop and gave up, yesterday it took me half an hour. I have never had this much difficulty pairing bluetooth headphones.

    Unbelievable - 100% recommend. Perfect!!!

Been doing some research with regards to sporty wireless headphones for a few weeks. So impressed with the AirPods. Unbelievable sound quality. No problem with volume. Only criticism is that whilst running they may fall off - solution just buy some plastic silicone tips off Amazon for a few quid. Work a treat. Perfect!

I’ve been using earbuds religiously since middle school, and I’m happy to say that after using these suckers, I’m never going back. These are so comfortable, easy to track (not to mention track-able), easier to store, charge rediculiusly fast and stay charged for days!! I can’t recomend them enough. 10/10 makes the lack of an audio jack on the new phones forgiveable.

    Almost perfect...

At the store, they met my standards: good, immersive sound (and I listen to trance/techno), surprisingly comfortable and light, innovative idea with a recharging case they come in. The fit could be even better though: if they had kind of a silicone fitting or “fin” piece that goes into the ear, it would fit a better range of users.

I took them on a test run and they began to slip and fall out. The fact that they still slip out rather easily with exercise is my only gripe. Nice work, Apple.

Small Package, Super convenient, and Great Quality

I don't care for writing reviews, but I thought I'd take the time to say how much I love these. Whole thing fits in that third front pocket of my jeans. Great for phone calls, and great for tunes!

    Great but only with iPhone

Everything is great when you use AirPods with your iPhone. It's convenient, sound is also cool, you don't need to charge headphones very often. But if you'd like to connect with Macbook, it won't be as good as you expect. AirPods are constantly disconnecting especially when you have a call via Skype or other messenger. Sometimes just one headphone works when you're listening to Apple Music. So annoying because usually I use AirPods at work and I would not to have any issues with the connection between them and my laptop. Please fix it as soon as possible!

    Better than expected

I got a pair from my wife for Christmas. Was thinking of taking them back because they seemed kind of expensive (we share the same bank account, LOL). Are use them all the time, they’re really great! The sound quality is excellent and the connectivity as well.
