Powerbeats 3 is not friendly with sweat and water

I use this powerbeats 3 for fast walk and run.
And then I found this product is not water proof or sweat proof.
Just sweat can stop working and damage
    your powerbeats 3.
I faced other issue of my remote cable too.

So I thinks this expensive product
is not suitable for my activities with
    sweat involved.

    Great sport headphones

A lot of people seem to be experiencing issues with these headphones. However, unlike basically everyone else, I haven't. Maybe it's because I sweat less (I def don't sweat a lot around my neck), but I've had these headphones for over a year now (using almost daily), and they are working flawlessly. I think the fit on them is excellent and I've not experienced fatigue or them falling out. The ear cups a reasonably good too (although I did switch them up instead of staying with the base ones). The sound quality was superb when I was using the ear cups with two sections, as they fit me perfectly and went in quite deep to deliver excellent quality sound, however after I lost them and was forced to change them up, the sound quality was never quite as good as none of the other cups went in as deep. And unfortunately for these headphones, the sound distorts very easily if they do not have a perfect fit inside your ear. The battery life is great too, nothing exceptional but my training was never interrupted because of the battery. They somehow always seem to run out of charge whenever I use them casually. And it hasn't been a problem as it's a matter of 5 seconds for me to change them for a different pair of headphones. Overall I'm very happy with the product. However, based on all the other negative reviews and issues people have been experiencing with them, I'm a little sceptical about recommending them. But I would definitely recommend the pair I have :)

Lemon Line! Do Not Purchase if you sweat or live in humid areas

I believe this affects the entire Powerbeats3 wireless line, but there's a major defect with these headphones and if they get any moisture in or around them, then they will fail. I live in a very dry environment, but do sweat a bit during workouts. I burned through 5-6 RMA pairs of these and can assure you these are bad line of head phones. They look great and sound great when they work, but prepare yourself for a never ending chat with Apple Care and never ending RMA process.... Ironically, if you don't do any activities at all and/or don't sweat at all and live in a dry place... this may be a good set for you :)

Support Arm Breaks Off Too Easily

There are some good features - such as the battery life. Sound is ‘ok’. However, one ear support broke off. The design is a ‘hook’ that will get caught in anything if not in their case or being worn. Some may have broken it while putting them on or taking off their ears - as per other reviews. The designers should have provided a measure of elasticity at the point where the arm connects to the main body - or at least a better warranty. Not great for the price. The replacement cost with or without warranty is too steep at $99 (US) - for he quality maybe that should be the original price. I’m surprised Apple has missed on this one, I expected better, and the brand has lost some of its ‘shine’ from this loyal customer

    Not under warranty

I paid the extra amount to get these with my iPad back in September - October time, since then I have only worn them a few times. My son borrowed them and the over the ear piece broke off. I took them into apple and they sent them out to be repaired, and they they sent me an email that they are not going to fix them unless I pay $99 dollars... So, apparently it isn't a defect when the over the ear part pulls completely out of the beats. Yeah, whatever, I have read some pretty bad reviews, I am done with the beats product line.

    NOT WORTH IT

I bought my power beats three a year ago and they have completely deteriorated apart with moderate use. First, the earpieces broke off then the sound piece and now they won't connect to my phone. I bought these near $300 and they are a really terribly made product. I expected more than a year of use from an apple product.

Terrible quality will make you very mad

I used them 4 x week during 3 months, then they don’t have a life signal anymore. For absolutely no reason. Will try warranty, but it is always such a waste of time having to go through the experience of acquiring an expensive poor quality product!

    Great but...

I love mine no doubt about it.Just the ear-hook came off on the left pair and I know its expected because the thing with an adjustable hook is that it gets weaker with every use.But I don't think if its still under warranty I should have to pay 129$ for a replacement pair.Other than that they still work, very durable headphones, Great sound, amazing battery life, The statement about the fast charging stands true to this day and an okay mic not the best but okay. So overall great product just bummed about the ear hook thing.

    AWFUL PRODUCT

This product is AWFUL. I have had to return it to Apple, via mail, FOUR DIFFERENT TIMES to be serviced and/or replaced! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

Powerbeats3 = false advertising (as often is with Apple)

Well it seems many other people seem to have this issue, I wish I had seen those reviews before I bought this a few months ago... contrary to what they advertise this as, the Powerbeats3 are NOT in ANY way “water resistant” !! I only just started using these for my workouts a couple of weeks ago (so it probably took around 10 or so sessions) until the control buttons completely stopped working. And I mean they do not function at all! Sure I sweat, but not excessively (too cold out to sweat that much in winter anyway), so clearly there is absolutely no resistance to any amount of sweat. I wonder how long until the whole thing completely dies.. Wasn’t worth the US$159 I got it for.
And now I can’t even return them because I recently moved to Turkey (from the US), where from what I understand the warranty for some ridiculous reason does not apply here.
Oh and...very cheap materials, the product itself feels cheaper than those $15 headphones you can get in Best Buy or something. Probably cost Apple less than that to manufacture (which might explain why they don’t mind replacing people’s beats several times). What a shame!

    These are terriblely made products.

I got a pair of these for Christmas less than a year ago and the already broke. The volume buttons are control price on the earphones themselves broke. I only wear this to the gym so it’s not like they are overused as I have more comfy ones for long trips and stuff. I will say that Apple support was good and sent me a new pair but it’s still kind of annoying when you have to wait a week to get them. OVERALL SAVE YOU YOUR MONEY AND BUY A DIFFERENT BRAND OF WIRELESS EARPHONES.

    Not worth the cost

Good sound quality and the battery life is great, but they are plagued with issues. I am constantly losing connection and having to restart the headphones to regain connection, and the start/stop button only works about half the time after pausing it. Additionally, I had to replace my first pair a couple of months back due to a faulty battery. For the cost, I would expect a lot more, so unless you really care about sound quality, there are a lot of much cheaper headsets with pretty comparable performance.

    Better than powerbeat2 but still!

So I joined the PowerBeat family when apple gave me a pair of beat2 with my Ipad pro purchase. I have to admit I never would have spent the money to try them any other way. I had thought that the sound couldn't be any better and the price was out laddish, however about 5 months later I lost my beats2 in one of suit pockets. I missed them so badly that I just had to get a new pair of beat3s. At first I loved the beat3s, the battery lasted longer, I could be farther from my iPhone and not loose connection, etc. Then one morning the ear loop broke off. I call one the warranty apple mailed out a box. Then about eight or nine days from when I made the call I got the "1st replacement." I put 1st because since the I have sent them back two more times and I was suppose too send them back a third to make a total of four problems. Here is the problem I am a heavy sweater, with a beard and medium to short hair. My beats get damp/wet with sweat. When this happens the "replacements" have all stopped turning on. After talking with one of the customer care managers I felt guilty returning them so many times so now I am waiting. Oh, apple sent me the box I even loaded them up but after three weeks I could not bring myself to ship them. Then I got the notice that the repair had been canceled so I opened the box back up. I do want to note that this time this replacement did turn back on after not using them for four days. So, they are working I just can't use them when I exercise or if I am in humid areas or they will not turn back on I fear. At least the other two did not turn back on after they started flashing the code. My hope is that PowerBeats comes out with a 4th product that is weather and sweat proof. I'm not asking for waterproof to 100meters just truly a workout wireless earbud! Like in the add above I do not want to be held back by a light rain or sweat! If that line had not been in the video I would have rated these a 4 or a 3 even with all the problems and guilt I've been through, yea the sound they produce that good. The Battery lasts at least 12 hrs most of the time unless you have them all the way up.

    Constant Ear Infections

I am by no means an audiophile and thought the sound quality was decent. However, after using these consistently at the gym, I developed an ear infection (my first in 20 years). Two months later I developed another infection in the same ear. I believe the rubber tips prevented water/sweat from escaping my ears, which resulted in the infections. I gave up and have switched to AirPods (inferior sound quality but provide better ventilation to my ears).

    Waste of money

Worked good for a week then went to junk. I would charge the night before and would be dead the next day after work for my work out. It would turn on and off by it’s self when I had already turned off. I would spend 10-15 trying to get it to connect when most times it wouldn’t. I’m done these are my second pair. I bought the beats 2 a year ago and they only lasted 8 months with simular issues.

    Disaster

Take my advice on this - do not buy it. After less than two months battery died, and it can hold just a bit over half an hour of time. Waste of money.

    Awful

My $5 bluetooth headphones were better then these, not for sound quality but as far as usage. When I need to transition from laptop to iPhone the bluetooth gets disconnected and no longer works. Would not recommend these headphones.

    Great sound, awful reliability

The headphones produce a full range of sounds, allowing for a beautiful atmospheric experience. This 'experience,' however, is often interrupted because of headphone disconnection. It's quite frustrating actually. I'll be studying for my tests in the library, and then the next thing I know I'm blasting music for all to hear due to a headphone disconnection.

    Great for working out everyday

Though with sweat they loosen up, they're great headphones for weightlifting! I use them almost every day for cardio and weightlifting, without any issues or discomfort. Yes, they could be a bit louder, but I guess that's to be expected from bigger speakers, not Powerbeats. The battery life is incredible, and the adjustments you can make for a more secure fit are versatile and very much appreciated.

    Break Quickly. Poor Quality

I've gone through 2 pairs in 2 months. As other state, volume will start going wonky, then they won't charge. All I do is run in them for about 30 minutes every other day. Keep them in the case they come with and make sure I don't abuse them. Doesn't matter, they just keep breaking. I would not waste your money on these, they are WAY overpriced and based off the reviews should be recalled.
