    Beats Solo 3 Matte Black

I've had these since their release back in October I believe and the experience has been flawless until July.
The amazing range, fast and intuitive connectivity, battery and sound quality are all still there. The problem is that one of the earphones is broken, for no special reason at all it doesn't work anymore as if it wasn't supposed to be fold even though it's the only way to keep putting it back into the case offered in the box.

I haven't had the time to take an appointment at my Apple store until now but I will do so in about 2 weeks and see what they can do about it.

If it wasn't for the broken earphone, I'd give this product 5 stars cause it has many qualities and the best of them all is even though I'm an heavy user, I only charged my Solo 3 7 times I believe.

So I guess, if it had much better reliability, it'd be the best headphones on the market for this price range.

    Hurts ears, connection issues

I can't wear these for more than a half hour without my ears stinging. Connecting them some times it's quick and easy, other times you have to keep turning them on and off to get them reconnected.

    Bummed out

So I specifically asked for best buy gift cards for my birthday so I could get these headphones.
I was so excited! Once I started using them the music sounded great...
and then came the ear pain within 10 minutes! They are the most uncomfortable headphones!
I am so disappointed in apple for putting out such a bad product and making it so overpriced!
I am going to return them later today and now I'm stuck with these best buy gift cards and have no need for anything there.
    Frustrating!

    Hurting left ear.

So I've just read through some reviews of people stating their ears are hurting after using beats solo 3. I myself am experiencing extreme pain in my left ear, sometimes it is so bad that it I touch my ear an hour after use it still
Hurts!! Now people believe it is that the headphone are tight on their heads and that it is causing it, may be so but my beats do not feel tight around my head and are quite comfortable on except the extreme pain in just the left ear. It is not ear drum pain like an ear ache but pain around the outside of ear and in the cartilage hard bit near the Opening of the ear canal. It's crazy to think a pair of earphones could be causing this much pain especially after using them for 30-40 mins..
My right ear has never had any problems.
Before I read the reviews I thought it could be that something was wrong with my ear, now I'm
    Not too sure.
I have a thought that it could be the wireless signals causing it or something else to do with the electrics.

Anyways I'm a bit disappointed this has been happening and after a long 2 hour train trip whilst using them I am in excruciating pain in my left ear.

So so so uncomfortable. Such a disappointment.

I wanted to love these SO BADLY. They sound great, in particular the bass is so fantastic, which was one of the selling points for me. They are beautiful and stylish. I cannot tell you how excited I was to get them. I only have myself to blame for not fully researching them and being taken in by their looks. They hurt like heck. Seriously, I can't get past 30 minutes of usage tops without wanting to rip them off and throw them across the room. To make matters worse, I wear glasses, and they push my glasses into my head with an incredible force. I tried using them for awhile without my glasses, ignoring my blindness, and they are still incredibly uncomfortable. There's no way to adjust them, which blows my mind for a $300 product. They would have easily been a four or five star review if it weren't for the fact that they make me head feel terrible. If it helps anyone make a decision - I am a short statured female with a small head. I am not sure what to get instead, but I can say these are incredibly disappointing.

They are very good, but just not comfortable.

I like the sound very much, however I can't wear it longer than 15 minutes without readjusting. It really hurts wearing it and it makes me incredibly sad because I do like the headset.

    Glitchy

Whilst I love the look and quality feel of these headphones, they are very temperamental and seem to have multiple technical problems. In a short space of time I have experienced the volume and b button controls not working and then working again, the headphones not switching off and a battery depletion light showing after hours of charging. The sound quality is amazing and I love my headphones but I just wish they would operate without these glitches so I don't have to spend so much time messing with them to get them to work.

Painful on ears after just 15 minutes

The beats solo 3 are tight, sound quality is ok (crusher wireless is much better at a cheaper price), but what is that good for if you can't even last 3-4 songs without pain.

Trust me, save up buying another headphone. Waaaaaaaaaaay overpriced. If you're getting the ones that are free with Mac purchase, just resell them.

    So painful!

I got beats solo 3's about a week ago and I'll be returning them tomorrow. After just one hour of wearing them, my ears throb. I have tried adjusting them all sorts of ways and there's no point. Do not buy these!

    The best Beats headphone

This is by far the best headphone sold be Beats. It does lack in the mods but the bass is gear and the treble is clear.

Not comfortable and truly there are better headphones regarding sound

As many other wrote here, they are not comfy. After even just 5 mins you already feel how uncomfortable they are. They squeeze your head and ears. I don't have a big head, or big ears, to the contrary, I have small ears and a normal size head. The top band is way too tight and also the cushions are too small.

I like the idea of wireless. I'm totally sold on it. I have the AirPods and they are just absolutely fantastic. I was looking for comfy headphones for my desktop, but I prefer my wired Sennheiser.

Good sound but PAINFUL to wear!

Was very excited when we got these headphones free with the purchase of our new computer but I've found them to be VERY uncomfortable! And apparently I'm not the only one after reading all the other reviews. The sound is great and and the ear pieces cut out almost all external noise, but after wearing them for about 15 minutes, my ears hurt so much I keep having to readjust for comfort. It's not an internal pain from sound, it's an external pain where the earpieces are pressing against your outer ears. My $10 wired headphones are way more comfortable than these. Given the retail price for these headphones, I would have expected it to be like wearing two kittens on my head! Had I paid full price for them, they would be going back to the store.

Incredibly uncomfortable. Good pairing and battery life.

These headphones are incredibly tight. To the point that I can wear them for about 15 minutes before needing to take them off and let my ears recover. I don't even have a large head. There is no way to loosen the fit. I've let three other people try them on and they all have had the same cringe on their face as soon as they put them on. You know, the same cringe when your toddler eats broccoli for the first time.

This is a crazy design flaw and I honestly don't know how people can stand to wear these. Maybe they've never worn worn a comfortable pair of headphones before? Maybe they use them for 15mins at a time?

The positive - they pair insanely easy, have great battery life, and look nice (matte black). Wish they had a harder or roomier case but it's fine. Sound is good but nowhere near other headphones in this price range.

I got these for free with my laptop and can't even justify keeping them at that price.

No wonder they are free with a new iMac! They hurt too much to wear!

    This is a bit silly.

After two songs, I found myself adjusting these on my head. Then, I just had to remove them - they hurt my ears! Not from the sound as they do not get that loud - but from the tightness around my head. I see many others have this issue and am surprised there is no fix for this and they keep selling them - or in this case - giving them away!

    Too tight.

I don't have a extremely huge head. I believe mine is about the average size for a man. These headphones are so uncomfortable. My ears became red within 15 mins putting them even when the head phones sides were extended.

    Beats solo 3 black

Excellent sound, very durable, easy to set up and switch between apple devices the range is incredible. Te battery seems to last forever well over the stated 40 hours. If like me you own many apple devices this is a winner.

    Already broken

Worked great for the first month but now no sound comes out of the right headphone. I have tried them wireless and with the cord and it still won't work. I am very disappointed in the quality of these headphones. I got them in late May and I have never dropped them or anything now they are already broken. For $300 headphones I expected them to last more than a month.

    Getting closer... but not yet

These headphones are a step in the right direction for on-ear headphones. While the cheap plastic build of these headphones does seem to be a turn off at $300, there are other aspects that should be more important in reviewing these. Wireless connectivity is amazing. I was able to leave my phone in my room and go down to my basement without any interference. Battery life is another plus. I have been able to use these for 2 weeks at moderate use before recharging. Regarding sound quality, it becomes More muddy. The good news is that the signature base is ever present, but beats has done an immensely better job at containing it and bringing the other layer forward to sound more balanced. However, I am not an audiophile and only tend to listen to modern electronic and pop music. For other genres, such as acoustical and older music, the bass can sometimes come across as bloated, pushing back the minds and treble. Continuing with the downsides, the fast connectivity is only available with iPhones, so andois users have to go through the regular process, and comfort after extended use can continue to be a problem. In conclusionif you have bought an iPhone recently, and need a headphone that is simple, absolutely amazing for modern music at home and on the go, then you should 100% buy these with no regrets.

    Very uncomfortable

These head phones are super tight, it's like squeezing your head. After couple hours of use my ears is already hurting.
