Decent sound and lightweight, but bad material selection.

This is my third set of Beats Studio Wireless headphones. Only really use for traveling and a couple trips to the gym each month.

The Studio 3 has adjusted sound and a little less bass than the v1 and v2. These have the same issue with the ear pads falling apart at about a year of infrequent use that has existed since the first Studio Wireless model before Apple was in the mix. Apple replaced one set of ear pads under warranty, but told me they would never do it again. Even if it was less than a year of use. Seems that it is considered a wear item. I had zero issues with any other part of the headphones.

If you do not mind buying a new pair or paying for repair every year, these are great. Perfect if you have all things Apple and they sound much better than most people seem to give them credit for. As soon as they add bluetooth the the Beats Pro, I would buy those in a heartbeat. The price is not an issue and I could have easily spent more. I liked these the best for travel packaging and weight. Back when I got my first pair the Studio Wireless was the only thing I found that had Bluetooth and a 3.5mm jack for use in airplanes. This still seems to be the case. The thin headband is amazing for travel.

    Sound is garbage

Sound was super thin and terrible. Not sweat proof either. Shouldnt have to adjust EQ for every song I listen to. Just super bad quality, wouldnt recommend.

    Good battery, terrible sound

    • Written by GLENN W from Highlands Ranch

I received these as part of the Back to School Mac promotion. I have always used Bose headphones, except for my Apple AirPods. I'm not sure what music genre the Beats are engineer for but for the music have listened to with them the sound is muted and flat. I see some reviews talking about the incredible sound, sorry I don't hear the incredible sound. The price point these should wow me when listening to music, and they leave me wanting to get my Bose out. I listen to Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, and Classic Rock and everything sounds flat. On the positive side, the connection to my iPhone works great, the headphones are comfortable, and battery life is good. Outside of those items I just can't see why these are the price point they are at.

Broke in less than a year

I am so peeved because these headphones always seem to break. Great sound quality, comfort and looks while they last, but they are very brittle and break often. I would not recommend beats to anyone and will never buy a beats product again:(

Great sound quality and convenience, but not build quality

    • Written by Donald N from Edmonton

The sound quality is amazing, the ANC works fairly well, and I love the easy connect feature across my iOS and even tvOS devices. But my headphones developed cracks just above the earpad on both sides after just 8 months because I have a fairly big head. Never had this issue on any headphones I've owned before that I used for years. They won't do anything about it because it's physical damage even though this seems more like a design flaw of inadequate structural reinforcement. Good thing I bought this at a retailer that offered no questions asked protection coverage which I opted to buy. Otherwise I'd say a hard pass on these headphones in favour of ones that are built better.
