    Excellent headphones

I cant believe how many people are critical of these. I used to be one of them, but not anymore. I am guessing that a lot of people are writing there reviews on older versions of beats that were bass heavy, but that has changed with the Studio3 version. I kind of wish that there was maybe a little more bass in them. I seem to get new headphones every couple years. This year I have auditioned 3 different ones, the Bose (non noise cancelling), the Vmoda Crossfade 2 wireless and the beats. The Bose are fine, but personally I find them boring. When I got the Vmoda's I thought I had found the perfect wireless headphones. They sound amazing, look very cool, and are comfortable. As of writing this, I am still going back and forth between the Vmoda's and the beats. they both look great, they both sound great and they are both comfortable, but the reason I will probably get the Beats is because of the huge battery life, and the range of bluetooth that I get in my house. The Vmoda's start to cut out in certain areas, but the Beats do not. The range of the bluetooth is fantastic. I still have not made my final decision, but because of the battery life and range I will probably keep the Beats.

Not recommend, Apple took this over they don’t stand behind the product....

Before Apple took this brand over if I ever had a problem it was taken care of . Now I have $1000 worth of beats stuff, and $600 of it is going in the trash. No matter is it is in the ear over the ear or standard head phones, do not waste your time or money in to this brand. Apple has failed as a company and as you can see the reviews prove this. My in ear devices need a little piece of felt to fix them, O sorry we can’t sale that to you, but for $120 plus shipping and tax we can fix them!! My wireless studio head phones I used under 50 times at the gym the pads are falling apart, Amazon I can get the parts for $11 Apple wants $150 Oh yes plus ship and tax to fix their own poor design. I hope they do not start making cars, we will need to pay for the recalls, what a joke.

Stopped charging after 14 months, persistent hissing

So here we are. Almost $400 and after 14 months have stopped charging. The hissing noise is always there though. Always has been, always will be. This is something that apparently wireless Beats do? So that's fun.

I have a smaller sized head, so haven't experienced the clamping others have, but have found that the cup is pulling away from the plastic on the earpieces. I use these at work, in air conditioning. I don't use them at the gym. There's no reason it should be gently disintegrating before my eyes. No reason at all.

    Ouch!

I've never owned a pair of beats before this, but these are, without a doubt, the most uncomfortable headphones I’ve ever worn. Granted, I have a big head and my ears are a little larger than the average persons so if this is your situation as well, these are not for you. Trust me. I wore these for about 20-30 mins and the clamping force was unbelievable not to mention the fact that the cups have absolutely no depth whatsoever so my ears were smashed against the speaker grill. After that period I had to take them off as I had a headache and my ear was throbbing and red for at least the next hour.

The sound quality was decent, not equal to others in the same price range though. The bass was not as punchy as I had been led to believe about beats, the mids were slightly drowned out, and I believe that if you were able to wear these for an extended period without pain due to tightness you would eventually be pained by the harshness of the highs. Good sound stage. Definitely for people with smaller ears and heads though.

Side note:what happened to the color choices!?

    Disappointed

I just came back from my first flight after purchasing the Beats Studio 3 headphones. I bought them primarily because they offered the highest volume of any others I tried but I quickly realized that the cost for this was in the sound quality. I will return these headphones and go for ones with better sound quality, as soon as I can figure out which ones that would be.

These headphones were terrible since the day I bought them.

1.) Ear cups started to flake off within the first year.
2.) Software and bluetooth are buggy.
3.) Both ends of the headphones broke after lightly using them for 3 years.

I suggest buying Bose headphones for the same price.

    Poor Quality & Overpriced

I received this product as a gift last year and after frequent trials I fail to be impressed. Firstly, the connection drops whenever you listen to something other than a music app (so no YouTube or social media). Secondly, the ANC is poor - on 8 flights I have used them and with the volume on supposedly on full not only are they quiet (for reference I found my pair of PowerBeats3 to have the equivalent volume, but only half way to its maximum, and often found myself listening to movies on full volume and still struggling) but also fail to block out the jet noise and commoption around me, which is a problem I find wherever I use them. With this comes the sound of static whenever I listen over Bluetooth, which goes away when plugged in using the 3.5mm jack. Most importantly, I have found this product to cause my ears and top of my head to ache whenever I use them more than 30mins, resulting me in constantly having to move them around. Moreover, at almost £300 the sound quality appears to be flat and well off the mark, with other £50 headphones performing just as well.

PROs: Good battery life, high-quality feel.
CONs: Uncomfortable over longer periods, frequent drop outs, static noise over Bluetooth, poor ANC, not loud enough at full volume, poor sound quality for the price.

    There are truly great headphones

These headphones are pure quality. Many are having trouble picking between these and the Sony and Bose. These are an easy win. I personally tested the other two and I pick these. Not only are the WAY more stylish and beautiful, but they are amazing sounding. You have to be a very noise sensitive person to ever recognize the difference between these headphones. Even still, the Beats take the win in every aspect. I 100% recommend these

    Worst Headphones I've Ever Owned

These are the most expensive yet the worst quality headphones I've ever owned. The looked so good and they're expensive, I just assumed they would be at least as good or better than my cheap bose. That's not the case. I keep them on my desk and never traveled with them yet they started falling apart within the first 6 months. I took them to the apple store and they told me it would cost around 200 to repair them. I opted to use tape and super glue. This was fine for another nine months, then the left ear started cutting out. I assumed this was the headphone cord so after having to look for a cord that would fit in the headphone jack (no any cord will work because the jack is sunk 4-6mm into the headphones) I found out that it's not the cord the headphones are just bad quality and not working enough to even use corded. I forgot to mention that the Bluetooth rarely ever worked from the time I got them. Good luck!

    Great Birthday gift!

I got these as a birthday gift to myself, and as I had a voucher to use, and can say that after first impressions I am very impressed.

There are easy to pair with my devices, and while they don't completely sound out the noise on the tube, it is fine for what I need them for and means I can listen to my music/pod casts on a pact tube without having to turn up loud!

They also look great, and never had any issue reporting issues to Apple in past with over products, so feel that if anything did happen I would not have any hassle getting it resolved.

    Average

They look pretty cool, got to admit, but their sound is extremely limited to some low-end EQ automatically preset on them. They are designed to listen to hip-hop. If you want to be a cool kid and become trendy and popular (and waste a lot of money), get these. If you want good headphones, get a pair of Audio-Technicas for half the price and double the quality. They are comfy though.

They will break on you. Not worth it. Go with Bose!

I got these headphones less than a year ago and I agree with most of the reviews, they are awesome, BUT after wearing them and charging them for a few months, they stopped charging. It is not a problem with the chord, but the headphones themselves seem to stop charging. It first started with having to place the headphones in a very very specific charging position, but after a month or two this wouldn't even do the trick anymore. So they worked for a few months, but I will now have to buy a new pair, and if they worked I would buy them again, but I don't want to shell out $350 every year for headphones. At that price point, they shouldn't die within the first year of purchase. I'm switching to Bose.

    Painfull

Purchased these yesterday, returned them today.

Never owned a pair of expensive headphones,to be honest I'm not a fan of them usually as my ears get too hot and I much prefer just using speakers. However I am soon to be working in an office environment where I will be required to use the things.

I was relatively happy with the quality of the product, they looked nice, I'm not a massive audiophile so sound quality I felt was good, but no better then £60 pairs I've had, at least not to my primitive ears. One major disappointing thing is that these don't even have the correct cable for a Mac book pro , c'mon apple sort that out.....

Now onto the reason I returned these after 1 day. (I should say I could only use the headphones for about 10 - 20 minutes). I opened the box, turned them on, paired them etc. As soon as I placed these things on my ears I could feel an odd , umcomfortable strange hard to describe. feeling. The earphones where emitting some sort of vibration noise (no music on at this point). I've no idea what this was I assumed it was maybe the noise cancellation , I turned that off via my IMAC but still it was there and it was starting to give me a headache/make me feel really uncomfortable.

I tried turning some music on , this made them a little better (oddly) but still this was such an uncomfortable experience I just had to take the things off after maybe 10 mins or so.

No way was I going to keep these at £300 , (more often then not I can put up with things) and when they are causing me pain/discomfort they just had to go.

Won't ever buy the beats brand again, I'll stick to cheap headphones or just sit in silence , beats discomfort (no pun intended)

    ANC needs work

I spent almost an hour comparing Studio3 to Bose QC35 II inside an Apple Store. I chose Beats for the seamless Bluetooth transfers to Apple products. ANC is not perfect and needs some work, especially for use on aircraft:
    - Embraer 175 seated behind wings, ANC worked
    - Boeing 737-700 seated behind wings, ANC worked
    - Bombardier CRJ700 - seated in last row, under engines, ANC failed. The ANC seemed to cycle from working about 40 sec to enhancing engine noise, especially in the left speaker, for 20 sec.
Air nozzles also mess with the ANC, similar to wind complaints in other reviews. For the price, I wish the ANC performed better!

    Amazing Product

I've had Beats for about 2 years and they are the best thing that has ever happened to me. They're about 3894573 times better than my kids, whom I love dearly. And they connect super fast, and they're still amazing. To this day i haven't found a better headphone. i would sooo recommend
