Out of warranty service cost: $129

After a little over a year of daily use, the left side of my Beats Solo3 Wireless Headphones stopped working. No sound would come out of the left side when using Bluetooth, but it would work perfectly fine when using the headphone cord.

I took my headphones to the Apple store and they were unable to determine the cause at the store because they were not equipped to service Beats headphones. The person who helped me said they could send the headphones to a service center for $129. This amount to pay plus the original cost of $299 was just to much for my budget.

When the headphones worked, they were fantastic. Great sound quality, incredible battery life, and comfortable to wear for many hours. It was such a pleasure to walk around my apartment untethered, enjoying great music through my headphones. I will sincerely miss them.

Just beware that if something goes wrong, you may have to pay $129 to even find out the cause of malfunction.

    Poorly Made Headphones

I enjoy the quality sound of music but the quality of the headphones themselves are poor quality. These headphones cost $300 and the band where you fold the headphones easily cracks and the earpiece covering has begin to expose the foam underneath covering. I only had my Beats for 6 months
I will not advise anyone to purchase these headphones. Poorly made

Crisp Sound, Great Battery Life, Very Uncomfortable

I have nothing but praise for the great sound quality and the battery life is simply unbelievable. But when one spends over $300 for a set of headphones, one expects a certain degree of comfort. I can't stand to wear these for much more than 30 minutes at a time. They squeeze so tightly and crush my ears against my skull--and there's really no way to adjust the fit. (I should also probably mention that I am a petite woman with a head that most people would categorize as "small". My other family members have tried them and feel exactly the same. I even offered to give them to my teenage son--where Beats headphones are somewhat of a status symbol--and he asked if he could choose something else instead! Yes, there are a lot of awesome things about these headphones, but the pain/discomfort that accompany using them for all but the shortest intervals is a real deal breaker for me!

    Comfortable but low build quality

The headphones sound great and are comfortable, but are not of the build quality you would expect for the price. I dropped them once, and a bit of paint came off. They overall feel nice, but not that rugged. Would recommend if very carefully looked after, and even then, they probably won't last that long.

I love them so does my wife

I love my beats so much even if I don’t get to use them much.
My wife keeps stealing them because of the great sound and texture of the product.
They are so comfortable and often I fall asleep with them on because I forget they are on.
These headphones are the best thing I have ever bought

The audio in the Beats Solo3's is great, very crisp and clear, however the headphone's themselves are very poor quality. The ear padding started to come off of mine a few months after I got them, revealing some yellow foam underneath. Then the gel-like lining started to come off the band soon after that. For the price of these headphones I really would have expected them to hold up better, I've had them for almost two years now and they are an absolute wreck. I've bought headphones at gas stations that have held up better than these. Very disappointed in this product and in Apple for selling this too me for so much money.

    Great headphone

I bought not one, but two Beat Solo3, and with both of them i’m amazed of the quality of sound, the design looks great, with smooth curves and a very useful set of botons that allow me to switch songs or even take a call without grabbing my phone.

The quality of sound is great and the headphones are quality. HOWEVER, the color of the leather in the ear cushions is starting to turn blue after only two weeks of use. The top of the headphones is turning blue as well. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COLOR. If i could go back I would get a darker color. You have been warned!
