    Matte finish doesn’t last

    • Written by David N from Sutton Coldfield

Matte finish looks great but it doesn’t last. Within two months the corners had been polished to a glossy shine through everyday use. I’ve gone for a leather one instead as it should age better. Obviously I’m a complete mug spending £100 on cases within three months!!

Eye watering price but much needed to protect double glazed XS

    • Written by Stephen D from LONDON

Well, I bought an XS yesterday, (first upgrade since an iPhone 6 that now drops half its charge in half an hour), when I bought the 6 and leather covered case was about half the price of this silicone one that is now the "cheaper" alternative.

Now that the XS is glass both sides - a cover is pretty much essential, and I didn't want to leave the store without one, unfortunately, Apple Store Covent Garden (London) were sold out of most colours but the weird salmon pink, almost black blue or the boring black. I chose the boring black. The material finishes are excellent, but I do struggle to see where the £45 goes even with a healthy profit margin. (I noticed the XS Max case is the same price for a much bigger phone cover, so this is the worst vale option.)

One other good point is that it is nice and lightweight at a mere 22g, so just over £2 per gram, so I suppose given it's protecting a phone that is close on £6 per gram, so, perhaps a bargain, especially if you don't take out apple care. There used to be a 50/50 chance your phone might not land on the glass if you drop it, now with glass both sides, its almost certain to, perhaps Apple should include one with the phone.

    Just don’t buy it
The case after a few removals start breaking apart!
Go for a cheap generic case and you will be better served
    Too bad!
    Apple disappointing

    Low quality

    • Written by Phillip D from KANSAS CITY

After just under two months the silicone is splitting and the finish is wearing. For a case that is so expensive I would hope that it would at least hold up as well as the generic cheap silicone cases I've owned for my previous iPhone. I would recommend looking elsewhere for your iPhone protection.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND INVEST IN A BETTER PHONE CASE. I’ve had this phone case for ONE week, dropped my phone ONCE from two feet off the ground and my screen still shattered!!!

FYI It’s $279 to repair your screen.....

    High quality, smooth finish, expensive!

    • Written by Albert F from Snohomish

This silicone case fits my iPhone Xs perfectly, with precision covers over the volume and on/off buttons. Likewise, the cutouts for the mute switch, camera lenses and speakers are just right. In contrast to some other silicone cases, this one doesn't feel 'rubbery', the finish is satin smooth and feels great. I think that this case represents the ideal compromise between retaining much of the iPhone's thin profile, while still offering reasonable protection. The case does tend to attract 'pocket lint'; I have to clean it off nearly every day.

I would have considered this case to be 5-star perfect, but for the high price. I understand that I am going to pay more for Apple products, and in most cases I am willing to pay a premium for the better design and quality, when compared to similar lower-priced products. However, $40 for this little case feels like gouging to me.
