    Great Product

    • Written by Rouzbeh R from Edmonton

Charges really fast and works for an acceptable period.
Isolates sound really good. Almost can't hear anything.
Sound quality is great, flat and natural. I enjoy music listening with these.

    Fragile

    • Written by Caleb F from Broken Arrow

Beats are really fun to unbox. They work with the Apple ecosystem, sound good, are comfortably designed, and stylish.

Unfortunately, you will realize the futility of all that when they up and break on you. These wireless ones lasted me over a year of normal use, no workouts, and careful storage in the provided case. Then, something in the wiring broke, and now they are out of warranty. I guess I was naively optimistic about the longevity.

I'd still be satisfied if these had been cheaper, or if they'd long outlived the warranty, but they're pretty expensive, and they didn't. Maybe I'm just too poor to be an Apple customer. Apple, just be up-front about a hardware-as-a-service model if that's what you're going for. I guess if Apple gives you a warranty, you better plan on replacing your hardware at the end of it.

    NO GOOD

    • Written by Brittany E from Richmond

I purchased the rose gold beatsX in February 2018 and I am currently on the phone getting my 4th pair sent to me. Every 3-5 months the headphones just stop working. I do have the solo2 and they still work amazing, just not functional for the gym (not wireless) or work (can only have one pod in). I would recommend any beats as long as they are the "over the head" style, not the buds/pods.

Not worth the money or the time.

    • Written by Matthew T from New Port Richey

I purchased these BeatsX back in late 2017 and they just stopped working. They would not power on, charge or reset. Apple was good about replacing them. Cool, right?! Well, this happen twice, all the same issue and the same result. However, this has happen a third time, and of course they are out of warranty. So, Apple has decided to not replace them this time. I used these earphones everyday but take great care in my tech. So, if your going to make a product Apple, own it, and service it. Otherwise, please, stop making poor quality products. And maybe, you will not become the Apple that was 90 away from bankruptcy before Steve rescued it.

Bottom line, I will never by BeatsX earphones again. And I cannot recommend the to anyone.

Replaced 4x in a year - Headphones will break.

    • Written by Joaquin V from Austin

I chose these headphones over the airpods, but seem to have made the wrong choice. I used these headphones for work and running. Unfortunatly these headphones are of the disposable kind. Expect to replace every 3-4 months. My headphones became unusable 3 times in the warrenty period and finally broke a 4th time right after warrenty period ended. I would not rely on these headphones to work past the warrenty period. I also purchased an identical pair as a gift for a family memeber, which had idential issues to mine. They were replaced as well.

    Honestly terrible

    • Written by Ellie ? from Guernsey

I bought these in October of 2018 and it’s now January of 2019 and mine have stopped working properly which is completely unacceptable! They can connect to my phone but they only stay connected for up to 2 minutes then they disconnect even though they are fully charged, I haven’t even damaged them or anything but they don’t work properly. It’s so disappointing how apple don’t even care if their products are perfect, absolutely disgraceful.

Sound quality is amazing, but everything else is terrible

    • Written by Erica L from Toronto

Before purchasing these, I read many reviews and noticed that people were having issues with the earphones for various reasons (didn't fit right, shut off, broke within a few months etc.), but I decided to look past these reviews and give them a chance. I regret it. The sound quality of these earphones are amazing, but I have been having major power issues with them for the last month. I have no problem connecting these earphones to my devices (all Apple devices, by the way), but getting them to stay on and connected is where the issue arises. When I connect the earphones to my iPhone, they will stay on for a few minutes, but then immediately shut down - even when fully charged! I even reset the earphones multiple times, but still continues to do the same thing, I can't even get through one song without these earphones shutting off. I am so disappointed and feel like this was a waste of 150 dollars. I wish I had bought the solos instead. Do not purchase.

You are better off with Airpods

    • Written by Marina U from Perris

These are very delicate creatures. The fact that these wireless earphones have cable makes them a poor choice. Because tossing them in your bag can result in a no longer working earphones. I would say that makes these very inconvenient as you have to be very careful. I would prob go with the AirPods, as those seems like a more stable choice. Additionally since you do have the cable it makes it easy to come in contact with water, say for example you accidentally spill on yourself. Although the odds of that happening are small, they prob would not be a good idea if you sweat a lot at the gym. I wish I had a more positive experience with these, but I had my first one replaced for free but the second ones have failed me yet again. Pretty disappointing, still on the hunt for good wireless earphones.

I’ve bought several beats products, but none of them worked more than a year. My first beats X stopped working after about 11 months and then I went to repair. Then the same thing happened again. Now I can’t even turn it on!!!!!!!!

    Very nice

    • Written by Chris H from Shinglehouse

I recently purchased BeatsX headphones and I have to say, they work way better than I expected. There isn’t much to complain about with these headphones. The sound quality is amazing (if you have the right size tip and have them all the way in your ears), battery life is pretty great (especially fast fuel), and the seamless pairing to iPhone and Apple Watch is incredibly easy. My only complaint is that they could be smaller, I find that I have to tuck in some of the wire so that it doesn’t look so big when I’m wearing them. Overall I give them 4/5 stars! Although it depends on the person and their needs, I highly suggest these headphone!

    BeatsX- poor quality

    • Written by Jeff E from Seattle

Surprised that these have some critical quality problems. Bluetooth stopped responding so I returned and promptly received another pair. They are now experiencing what seems like a mechanical issue. I suspect that Apple made some tradeoffs in quality to achieve this price. You can expect about 1 yr of functionality before failure. I would pay more for IP54 or 67 and more rugged less sleek design.

    Superb BUT...

    • Written by Kateřina D from Opava

Bought these with my iPhone in December 2017, sound amazing, battery life more then enough even for my long plane travels (8h really who needs more on a day to day basis?) and if it was more then enough to just plug them in for 5 minutes and voala! Also i do work often (on my laptop) in a noisy environment such as busy coffee shops, and do lot of flying and hat down BeatsX did and amazing job canceling the noise and made it easy just to sink in the tones and music. ANYHOW right in March 2018 (after 4 months of daily using) right ear stopped working, what a shame so I did contacted apple and with no problems they did replaced them for me with a new ones. Beginning of December guess what? Again the exact same problem (after 8 months of daily using) unfortunately they were one month out of one year guarantee. I would have to pay 75£ for replace/fix and that's just no-no for me if they disappointed twice in a year with the same problem... No thanks. Especially for that price, come on I would expect they will last at least 2 years. I really don't think they are reliable and worth for this price. For me Beats in the future... I don't think so. Will be looking for a different brand. While they were working 5* honest. But the time they actually worked...

    BeatsX in grey

    • Written by Anson M from Oakland

In-ears are not for everyone as some of the reviewers have experienced. Unless you get a tight seal the sound quality will be horrible. Once you do, however, the BeatsX deliver a quality sound experience, somewhat V shaped, definitely not flat, but fun! To my ears they are very well well priced, especially at the low street price. Again, to my ears, they also sound way, way better than AirPods, but I've always felt this way about decent in-ears vs any type of bud that just sits there. Because physics, and acoustics.

If your ears can get a good seal and you need reasonable – better than AirPod but not great – battery life, very good sound isolation in a wireless package then I highly recommend the BeatsX. My only negative is the overall length of these. I would prefer if they were a good 6 to 12 inches shorter as they hang down far too much IMO, leading at times to microphonics as they bang around on my jacket when walking. Also, if you are on the phone 8 hours a day at the office, these are not for you. 4 to 6 hours spread over the day, sure, as they have a quick charge that will add 2 hours in just minutes.

I believe there is a feature missing from the BeatsX that other wireless headphones may have: ability to mute the phone from the earphone control. In my experience, the BeatsX can't do this, so it's a miss in this respect.

    they've changed

    • Written by julie K from TORONTO

I have 2 pairs of the original BeatsX (one of which had to be replaced) and both came with ear wings to keep the buds secure and a case. These do not although they are the SAME price. I never used the cases so I don't care but I do use the wing tips on my other pairs...hopefully I will not need them on this new pair. Maybe they have redesigned the fit subtly so they no longer need the tips?
Anyway, I just assumed I was buying the same product BeatsX as I already had as there is no mention of a "new" version (just a new colour- Satin Silver...so I thought people might want to know those 2 accessories are no longer included.

    Great quality!

    • Written by Cameron H from Columbus

I have had these headphones for about 10 months now and they have worked perfectly! The sound quality and noise cancellation has worked great and not gone down over time. My one issue is the battery life, it only lasts for about 6 hours for a full charge, which is a decent amount of time and works fine for me every day, but you have to remember to charge them nightly!

after 6 months wont turn on anymore

    • Written by Ronald Allan L from Lucena

after 6 months of use my beats wont turn on anymore, I went to an apple reseller here in the philippines, and they replaced immediately and they said to take care when charging. Then again after six months my newly replaced beats wont turn on anymore. Even though, i dont over charge it, didn’t get it wet or damaged. I was very disappointed, it is like a disposable item with an 8 thousand peso price tag...

    Not worth it

    • Written by CHRISTEN S from Buffalo

Sorry, but these are not worth the price. I'd rather have the Apple AirPods. The sound quality is total garbage. They are awkward fitting as well. Glad I got them free with my purchase of a MacBook Pro.
