Hi. I wish to use a Seagate Backup Plus portable drive to, first, backup files from a Macbook Air running 10.10.5 Yosemite, then move some of those files and backup a Macbook Pro on 10.12.4 Sierra. I think I understand how to reformat the drive using Disk Utility. However, does it matter if I reformat it using the Pro/Sierra or the Air/Yosemite if I wish to use it on both?
