The M1 chip brings superfast unified memory to MacBook Air. This single pool of high-bandwidth, low-latency memory allows apps to share data between the CPU, GPU and Neural Engine efficiently — so everything you do is fast and fluid.

Your MacBook Air comes as standard with 8GB of memory and can be expanded to 16GB. The more memory your MacBook Air has, the more apps you can run simultaneously and the better they will perform.

Note: MacBook Air memory is not user accessible. If you think you’ll need additional memory, it’s important to upgrade at the time of purchase.

This MacBook Air comes with 256GB of SSD storage.³ You can configure it with up to 2TB of storage, giving you more space to store your documents, photos, music and apps, as well as extensive video libraries and large data files.
