We have several shorter Apple cables that are in great shape after years of use. This cable, though, is not worth the money!

Cable end incompatible with many iPhone cases

The Apple lightning cable is the. worst. product. that apple makes, their cable frays and stops working unexplainably, so tough to not improve on that. When I bring an apple lightning to usb cable in the guys at the apple store take one look at it and sigh out loud. They must get a ton of returns. The Belkin cable is thicker and seems tougher. The main drawback is the end lightning end is fatter than standard, so won't fit typical iPhone cases such as from Spec or others. Poor design from Belkin.

I now have 2 of these cables which have had problems very quickly (within 2 months of use). Similar to other reviewers, wires are now exposed and dangerous. Far from being just an expensive waste of money, these are dangerous and need supervised use. They are supposed to be a quality product. I have concluded that gravity is an issue as the pull separates the components, therefore exposing the wires.

When I first got them I thought they would be heavy duty and durable because the wire looked to have a really thick coating .but it’s just an illusion. I still like the iPads more or less but I have to advise against buying a charger from Apple. Apple I hope you read this, you get good money from us for quality products it’s time you start pulling your weight and delivering .stop producing these garbage chargers and get something on the shelf that won’t ruin our devices and will actually benifit us”the common folk “.
