When you open the lid it gets stuck around 90 degrees, and requires a firm push to skip over the poorly fitted plastic shell. A number of customers have reported that this ultimately leads to the case cracking, and obviously puts unnecessary strain on the hinge of your laptop lid. When you're likely spending upwards of £2000 on a laptop you don't want a case that prevents your lid from opening smoothly, and if you have to replace the case every few months when the corners snap off it'll start getting expensive fast. I'm doubly disappointed because the case looks fantastic, and feels great in your hands. If only I never had to open my laptop it'd be perfect! Unfortunately, as the keyboard, trackpad, and screen are hidden away inside this case is unabashedly, fundamentally broken.

I'm not a big fan of the dimple-ish pattern which doesn't show up well in the product photos. I purchased a clear one and happy with it.

      No thanks.

After having this on my brand new MacBook Air for about 2 months it has left a ugly scratch on it. I don't recommend this at all.

But, I figured Apple usually has the highest quality products in the Apple Store, and I wanted something to protect my Mac with the perfect fit that still allows me to enjoy its appearance and sleekness. I was not disappointed at all! This case snapped onto the top and bottom easily and stays on whether opened or closed. The directions were clear and concise and very easy to follow. My experience appears to be way different from everyone else's, but I am very pleased.

This case breaks (cracks) far too easy, and could damage the Macbook!

The plastic is simple not strong enough, not even for very light use. To make things even worse, a small piece of cracked plastic from the top case fell into the hinge, and damaged the aluminium top case of the MacBook (just above the menu bar) !!! ***Be careful about buying this case if you care about your MacBook!!***
