      Cool idea, not very accurate device.

      I purchased this for my new place and was very excited to use it, it was fine the first days but after a week the logs I could see on the app weren't very accur I purchased this for my new place and was very excited to use it, it was fine the first days but after a week the logs I could see on the app weren't very accurate so I ended up returning it.

      Reliable contact sensor

      These sensors have worked great for me since day one. They've only missed or mis-reported a door opening once or twice, but overall their accuracy is very high These sensors have worked great for me since day one. They've only missed or mis-reported a door opening once or twice, but overall their accuracy is very high - I'd say over 99%. I mostly interact with them through the iOS 10 Home app and not the Eve app. They are setup to provide push notifications to my devices, and it's nearly flawless. The batteries seem to have a pretty long shelf-life too. After several months of daily use, they still show nearly full battery levels.

      This is incredibly easy to setup and get going.       Eve knows best

      Fantastic product. Inserted battery and activated HomeKit app. It took thirty seconds and the device was recognised and activated. Three minutes later I’d added Fantastic product.       Best indoor security

      Besides getting a security system professionally installed, or getting a indoor camera feed. This is a simple solution to have your door/window remote monitored Besides getting a security system professionally installed, or getting a indoor camera feed. This is a simple solution to have your door/window remote monitored, If you already have an apple TV. A few times I have to go back to check if the door is closed especially when we are leaving in a hurry. Now I get an instant notification to confirm if its closed or opened.

      Good sensor but installation can be tricky

      The sensor is very useful but the installation can be tricky: the 2 sensors must be very close to eachother, almost in contact, when the door is closed. This is The sensor is very useful but the installation can be tricky: the 2 sensors must be very close to eachother, almost in contact, when the door is closed. This is to avoid false notifications. It can be difficult to put them in contact in some installations. The configuration is very easy. The Elgato app very powerful as it can control all the Home Kit app. Regarding the HomeKit capabilities, it would be nice to receive notifications if, for example, a door is detected open for more than 20 mins. Unfortunately this feature must be implemented by Apple HomeKit as it is not related to Elgato ecosystem or to the sensors.
