Don't complain if you don't read or understand a product's description!

Good grief people! Pay attention before you buy! Those of you who complain on here because you were expecting a plug with the kit when the pictures clearly Good grief people! Pay attention before you buy! Those of you who complain on here because you were expecting a plug with the kit when the pictures clearly show only adapters ... really! Those complaining that it only works with the "larger plug" ... when the description clearly describes the plugs the adapters fit on ... really! This is a great product for those of us who travel to multiple countries and have the convenience with this kit to swap out the prongs on the "big plug" instead of using an add-on device. For those that complain that they had to buy the whole kit for 1 plug .... really! If you are only going to one country, you should just go buy a single adapter plug of which there are dozens out there that add to the end of the plug. For those of you who complain that they can't read gray print on a white background ... I do kind of agree that the letters could be more visible in black, but since all of apple details on their plugs and other media is gray on white, this product labeling is nothing new with Apple. I just never understand why people come on here and bash a product because of their mistake by not paying attention to the details before they buy.

No it doesn't include the charger - that's why it's called an adapter for your charger. This is like giving new tires a poor rating because they didn't come with a car. These fit your existing chargers but not the small 5w cube charger that comes with the iPhone. Fair enough, but APPLE, I see this as your opportunity to do what you do best in web usability; you could make it more clear with imagery how it works and you won't get one-star ratings from those who don't read the information. It's upon you to make it simple for the lowest common denominator, and stand by the web usability axion "don't make me think!" You have my five star rating.

Great Product, but people need to read what they are buying.

Honestly, the only thing Apple is doing wrong, is not reviewing what all those people that complain are actually complaining without reading what they have bou Honestly, the only thing Apple is doing wrong, is not reviewing what all those people that complain are actually complaining without reading what they have bought.. So sad... People wake up, this is a great product, been using it for over 3 years.. No it doesn't covnvert electricity, what it does do is enable you to plug your apple products into about any electric outlet in the world.. Very cool!!

      Still your best choice

These adapters are very rugged, and I have used the original for years without a single failure - cannot say that about the other brands that fail within a year. I purchased my first kit in 2012 when the third-generation iPad came out. It did in fact come with a charger, and a 30-pin to UBS connector which was used up until the iPhone 4s. The other old-kit difference was the lack of a Brazilian Type-N plug - but the Type-C substitutes for it nicely. READ CAREFULLY - the new kit is strictly an ADAPTER kit, no charger or cable. And a good one at that. Also be warned - there are places in the world where none of these plugs will work, even the universal Type-C "Europlug". Italy is the perfect example with three common standards, only one of which will work with the Europlug included with the kit. It also might help if I explained how the Type-C Europlug works - you will have problems the first time you use one. It was designed to fit 4.8, 4.5 and 4.0 mm pin size sockets in Continental Europe. It will not fit the 5.0 mm sockets still found in parts of Italy. The Europlug has 4 mm pins. To fit the larger pin sized sockets, its pins are non-parallel, the base being 18.6 mm apart and the tips 17.5 mm. The pins are designed to be slightly flexible so they can "spread" apart and grip the sockets, especially the 4.8 and 4.5 mm ones. A cheap plug will not have enough "spring" and flexibility - they are hard to plug in and the cheap metal used will fail within a short period of time. A well-built Type-C plug such as comes with this kit will last forever, and can be used in Brazil and South Korea as well. I am an international airline pilot, so this kit is well used. Never had a problem. Wish I could say that about some of the other adapters that I was seduced into trying.
