      Powerful, crisp and clear sound

Also, that Bluetooth blue light that blinks is obnoxiously bright in a dark room. I'm very particular about the sound quality of my music and HD movies. For example, I've always had Bose speakers and auxiliary Monster cables in my car and in my home. Ok, with that being said, I thought I'd spend the money and try these out. The nostalgia of huge on-ear headphones, that come in rose gold to match my Apple Watch and 7+, made them appealing before I even tested the actual quality. Then there was the perk that it had the W1 chip and a 40-hour battery life. I already hate that I have to charge my watch every day... my phone can go 3 days if I need it to and I'd like headphones that could do the same. I'll admit it: I'm lazy. They don't drain the battery on my phone the way my other Bluetooth earbuds and my car's Bluetooth do. Furthermore, you can register the Beats for free with Apple (keep your receipt filed at home, just in case). They're crisp, clear, and LOUD. I can appreciate different background sounds and instrumentals in my music that gives it this dynamic theater-quality listening experience. I'm still mastering the side controls; these aren't as straightforward as my LG Bluetooth buds. I did need these headphones to be able to control music and calls, so I'm going to have to figure that out a little more. Volume and pause/play are the only controls I've managed to master lol. It's just a user error. I've also noticed that when making calls, with the Beats connected via Bluetooth, my phone defaults it to speaker from the phone itself... I have to manually redirect AirPlay to my Beats. They appear right there at the top of the list, so I'm not sure what's going on with that. Perhaps an update for the phone or software is necessary. Also, they don't disconnect when signal is weak or cut in and out (which is due to the W1 chip in both the Beats and the fact that they're paired to another device with a W1 chip). Hope this helps you in making your decision if the Beats Solo3 are right for you.

      Great headphones

Pros: Excellent battery life Stylish looking Loud to the point where I could never listen at full volume (and I work around heavy equipment and aircraft) S Pros: Excellent battery life Stylish looking Loud to the point where I could never listen at full volume (and I work around heavy equipment and aircraft) Stay on your head tightly during workouts and running Ridiculously fast and easy pairing Not flimsy feeling at all Cons: Too big for the gym for my liking, I'll probably wait for powerbeats3 They're pretty pricey even for the quality you're getting

I'm hearing parts of songs I've never heard before. I wear them to listen to music rather than watch tv. Yes I'm wearing them now. Sign up for 3 months of Apple Music for free. Great platform so far but I'm not sure about how it compares to Spotify. You won't be disappointed with the Beats. I go around putting them on heads of my friends and family. Now I'm understanding why Apple bought them.

At the first glance, it looks pretty and seems that the materials are good but after 6 months of little use, the leather just started peeling of both sides. Then it began having charging problems until it just stopped charging. Very disappointing. A similar thing happened to when I bought the Solo3. Definitely not buying Beats' headphones again.

      Nice!

I was a little hesitant to buy given the price point, but I'm very glad I did. From the airport to the gym to home, from music to movies to TV, these are great, versatile headphones. The sound is very balanced, and I love that when watching a movie or TV, there's definitely a surround sound effect. Like most Apple products, controls are very intuitive (mostly from the left ear cup). The weight is enough that they feel secure on your head, but still unobtrusive. I wasn't sure how I'd feel with on-ear vs. over-ear headphones, but these are very comfortable, even when wearing glasses and earrings. Apple's W1 chip makes pairing these with any Apple device a snap (literally takes under ten seconds), and pairing with other devices is easy as well. At 40 hours, battery life can't be beat. I'm not sure of the max distance for the Bluetooth connection, but I did try leaving my phone upstairs while I did housework downstairs, and I heard no difference in the music. As for aesthetics: these are very attractive. The design is simple and not too flashy. I bought the rose-gold color, which is more of a goldish-copper. Definitely not too pink. My mom has the red, and it strikes the right balance between fire-engine and cherry red.
