  • 1) Yes. You can connect Thunderbolt or USB devices. 2) Yes. You can connect USB-C displays, adapters, and docks. All Macs can connect two displays to a Thunderbolt 3 port. The Blackmagic eGPU can connect two displays to its downstream Thunderbolt 3 port. Some PCs cannot connect two displays to a Thunderbolt 3 port (they can connect one or two displays). All Thunderbolt 3 ports support USB-C with DisplayPort alt mode. This allows a single display to be connected. Connecting multiple displays via Thunderbolt requires a Thunderbolt dock or adapter. Connecting multiple displays via DisplayPort requires an MST hub and Windows or Linux (since macOS doesn't support multiple displays via MST).
