Are your leather cases made from Full Grain Leather, or a different type of leather like top grain, corrected, genuine, suede, etc... ?
I'm wondering if the leather you use is full grain leather. My family has been handcrafting leather goods for almost half a century (Buffalo Billfold Company), and I know from experience that full grain leather is the best out there. It is the only type of leather that will truly develop a patina over time. Genuine leather, Suede Leather, Corrected Grain leather, Top Grain leather and other types of leather are all weaker parts of leather that have a less dense grain structure. The grains of these weaker leathers don't cross as much and are more horizontally aligned, meaning they pull apart quicker. If I'm going to spend money on a leather case, I want to make sure it is Full Grain Leather since that really matters in terms of longevity.

They’re made from specially tanned and finished European leather, so the outside feels soft to the touch and develops a natural patina over time
