  • You can install Microsoft Office for Mac (which ships on optical media) onto your MacBook Air using CD or DVD sharing. This convenient feature of OS X lets you wirelessly “borrow” the optical drive of a nearby Mac or PC. So you can install applications from a DVD or CD and have full access to an optical drive without having to carry one around.

    Its pretty cool; I've used it for installs and data transfer and it just works.

    Note that you must have the install media for the Mac version...unless you have installed a Windows partition on your MacBook Air.
