    Hello. This 2012 Airport Express model does support wireless 802.11 a. However, I believe you are referring to 802.11 ac. The current 2012 Airport Express does not support this type of network but it can support any a/b/g/n network.

  • It does support 802.11 a, but that is an old standard that was ratified back in 1999. What you're probably thinking of is the new standard that is still under development that is called 802.11 ac, which Apple doesn't list as being supported by the AirPort Express.
