- Flag as inappropriate Answer (Replacing current modem with a Netgear CM700. Will this adapter work with the ethernet cable that is required to connect to my MacBookPro?)
This adapter reaches up to 945Mbit/s, so it's near practical limit of 1Gb link- Tested with iperf3
Max speed for file sharing over SMB is 90MB/s - Tested with two directly connected 16" MBP.
This adapter DOES NOT support Jumbo frames, max MTU is 1500. I'm very disappointed from Belkin USB-C Ethernet Adapter and from Apple decision to remove the build in ethernet port (and other ports)!
Nope, just provides ethernet. You can run on battery, or use an adapter that has power pass through. There are a lot of good options from Anker you may want to investigate on amazon if you only have one port.
I need to know the proper cord to connect my 802.11n time machine to my new 2017 Mac book pro
