    Not compatible

    Bought directly from Apple.
Worked great for approximately 6 months.
Consistently get screen message “not compatible” at this point. Entirely useless product.

Apple should not sell items that do not work with their phones.

do not buy. Horrible performance and low life

Tired of buying charging accessories that weren't approved, I went into the apple store to buy a car charger. Chose this Belkin and presumed it would be flawless. Not the case at all:

    1) Since the beginning my iPhone will intermittenly give the notice (Not approved for this device...) or whatever the exact wording is. How? I got in the Apple store precisely to avoid that issue!!!!

    2) It is VERY slow to charge.

    3) After a few months, it now won't charge at all showing no connection; then if you plug in and out a bunch of times, it will then show charging. I thought perhaps the cable was bad, but the truth is it's been in an accessible lighter plug on our Toyota, and the cable hasn't had any improper or rough handling ever, at all. This issue has progressively worsen to where now the adapter as a charger is useless. The phone will be resting normally and it will just show charging then not connected, all on its own. Yes I did have the iPhone plug port checked for debris. Not the case, it was clean. The one I got has an extra USB port on the plug, and when I plug in a cable for my iPhone into that USB port it works consistently no problem. Why the extra USB port works when the built in cable doesn't (without any bad handling or usage reasons that it shouldn't) is a sign IMO of poor or bad design engineering inside the plug base.

I do not recommend this Belkin adapter at all.

Worst car charger I've ever bought.

I initially bought this charger for my car about 1 year ago, I have since been back to my local Apple Store and have had them replace it 3 times for a brand new one. I'm about to go back for my fourth because I can't get a refund. I plug my phone in and leave it when I'm driving, the cord is not stretched or damaged, neither the plug. The problem is the terminals on the charger that connect inside the phone, they wear away so fast and then the charger stops working after weeks of "This accessory may not be supported" and having to wiggle it around. Useless, spend your money elsewhere.

    Quick charge!

This charger works great with my iPhone 7. I purchased it in April 2017 and have had no problems so far. It charges quickly and consistently. I'd recommend this charger if you only need to charge one device at a time.

    Not compatible with the iPhone7

This charger would not work with the iPhone 7 at all. Worked a couple of times with my wife iPhone 6, but inconsistent. I would say NO to this as an accessory. If it has any issues when you need to charge is is a zero in my book.

The first time I plugged my phone into this charger I got a message saying that the cord was not compatible with an iPhone 6. I've seen this message before and many times those cords are still able to charge the phone, but this one didn't work at all. The box that the charger came in explicitly states that it is compatible with the newest iPhone models, so it's possible I just got a defective device. I returned the product that day.

    Didn't work. Don't purchase.

This is the second Belkin product I have purchased that didn't work. I've plugged this into my car and it lights up but doesn't charge my iPhone at all. Despite repeated tries, nothing happened. Previously I'd purchased a portable charger to take overseas. Trusting it would work, I didn't use it until I got there. Once plugged into the phone it repeatedly came up with a warning it would charge as it wasn't an authorised apple product yet here it is on the apple site???? I threw it out after paying $40.

    Spend your money elsewhere.
