    Gen One = issues

Great sound quality when they work...

After using anywhere from a few times to a week or so at the gym - the unit would stop working entirely - either not charge or unable to turn on...I believe there's a design flaw with power storage unit in that both the on/off control and plug for charging rests directly on one's neck / shoulder facing down and prone to collecting 'sweat' - salt and batteries typically don't work well together...

I returned 3 units to Apple - trust me this was not due to operator error or abuse.

Suggestion to Bose - really simple locate on/off control & plug on opposite side - facing 'up' - also provide a longer charging cord the 4-5" one is too short.

    Cheers

    Broke Within 1 Year

    • Written by Daniel F from Mountain View

I absolutely loved these headphones! The sound quality was amazing, they had great battery life and were incredibly portable. But within 9 months of buying them, they all of a sudden broke. I'm attempting to work with Bose to fix them but their customer support typically takes 7+ days to respond to emails.

Love the product but have just returned my 2nd pair

Just returned my second headset directly to Bose. Same problem as before, the on off switch just one day stopped working. Sincerely hope that Bose gets this figured out. When they work, they work well.

    Major Disappointment

    • Written by Brett L from Waterloo

After owning and loving the Bose wired QC20 active noise cancelling headphones and Bose (Bluetooth) SoundTouch Mini speaker I was really excited to hear the noise cancelling headphones are now available in a wireless Bluetooth version. Unfortunately these headphones have not lived up to my expectations. They do not offer the sound quality of the significantly cheaper QC20 and they do not offer the seamless bluetooth experience of the SoundTouch range. The key points of disappointment: (1) phone calls sound appalling (2) audio chops and stutters the moment I leave my apartment and enter a world filled with competing Bluetooth signals (unacceptable given the price tag for this product) (3) the controls are awkwardly placed and difficult to use (4) the charging port is initially difficult to find, has a flimsy cover that feels like it will tear off and the port rejects the USB cable every step of the way - you really need to take some time to get a connection, and to top it all off, tonight the headphones have a glitch other users have blogged about on the web whereby the green light stays illuminated and the headphones will not power off! Just glad I bought this at Apple with its 2 weeks to try a product. After 3 days trial, I'm over it. Gonna take them back tomorrow.

    Poorly Built

The rubber body has begun to separate from the neck piece in less than 10 months. Bose - you can do better.
