    One of the best investments I've made for travel

    • Written by Mitty C from Fremont

    I spend about one-third of my weekends every year traveling for work. The Bose QC 35 headphones have become one of the best investments I've made for travel. You never know when you are on a flight and there's a crying baby (why are there so many crying babies??), and you just want to drown out the noise. Well, the QC35 does that for you. I'll often leave on the QC35 on long flights just for its noise-canceling abilities, and not even play any music. It deafens the roar of the airplane engines, makes crying babies seem reasonable, and yeah -- it also comes with an adapter wire that hooks into airplane headphone jacks, so you can use it to watch in-flight movies (for those long international flights) in style. This is the perfect gift for anyone who is a frequent traveler, but just also anyone who needs a super noise-canceling device. There are other cool perks like being able to sync two QC35s together in the app to stream music from one device. Makes watching movies together on the plane easier. I don't often get to use that perk, but it's pretty sweet.

    Headphones for one app only

    • Written by Edward H from Sammamish

    These headphones only work well with the Apple music app. They are not general purpose headphones. While they will play from apps like YouTube, the play/pause feature does not work correctly. It can pause, but you’ll need to reach for your device to start playing again, and the only way I got it to do that was to delete all of the music from the Apple music app. Otherwise it will pause YouTube, then start playing from the music app. Not fond of the Dr. Dre’s, but at least they got this right.

    Decent sound, not £300 good sound

    • Written by Jonathan R from High wycombe

    Having recently been trying out various types and brands of bluetooth headphones and running side by side comparisons to decide where best to place my money I have finalised my opinion on these headphones.

    If noise cancelling is the biggest factor for you when it comes to headphones, these are without a doubt as the rest of the internet will tel you the best choice available. Period.

    They look nice, are super comfortable, have a decent case and selection of cables included.

    However I experience ear pains with some types of headphones (typically in ear ones) and these after only a few days of using have resurfaced the pain for me. It's a shame because they are luxurious headphones. This is a well documented issue it turns out so be aware that if you have these problems, this could be a deal breaker for you.

    Ontop of this, the sound with the noise cancellation off (which is the source of the ear pressure and pain), the audio is sub par, and not close to what you'd expect from Bose or a £300 pair of headphones.

    I would recommend these, but only for people who perhaps fly or have to travel a lot and can only hope to consume audio with world class noise cancelling. Unfortunately this comes with a slight price, less high quality audio, and possible pain. There is better out there for the same money for everything here apart from build quality and noise cancellation. For me the discomfort when using the feature set and the decent but not £300 sound quality mean this isn't the one.

    Bose = Ultimate win.

    • Written by Thanusun T from Toronto

    When I wore these headphones, I literally spasmed my ears in beauty as the sound, bass, and astounding noise cancellation blended together to create elegant music. These headphones are perfect for studying, needing some quiet time to think, or just wanting to enjoy the lyrics and beats of the a song because of noise-cancellation. I recommend this to people who love music, and students who want some quiet space to think.

    The older version of these headphones do the same thing as this version; with the exception of Google Assistant and Siri. I always activate Siri to play some songs for me within Apple music. But it works well with Google Assistant.
