    Works Great!

The product works as advertised. It charges my new iPhone 11 Pro Max quickly, with the Apple Clear Case on without a hitch! The small footprint makes it unobtrusive. I highly recommend it.

Looks Good & Working as Intended.

    • Written by Ken B from BALLYMENA

Really like the premium look of this Belkin Special Edition Wireless Charger. I find it takes between two hours thirty minutes and two hours forty five minutes to charge my iPhone X, depending if charging begins from zero battery power or 12% left. The charger makes no obvious noise when in use, no buzzing as I have seen reported with wireless charging. Just set the phone in the middle of the pad, no need to be very particular I have found, and it will beep and start charging. The phone becomes warm when charging, but i think this is to be expected from wireless charging in general. I was surprised how small the charger is but the power adapter is quite big. To summarise, looks good, working well, and very easy to use, but rather expensive. Almost forgot! I purchased the black one as the chrome band is colour coordinated. I am pleased with the charger, hope this helps if you are considering wireless charging.

Excellent product! Charges through a case with ease.

    • Written by Anh N from London

This is a truly wonderful product. This special edition charger not only looks great, it performs very well.
Although this has an overall smaller form factor than the non “special edition” Belkin charger, there is a larger ring where the phone must be placed, which I think makes it much easier to position the phone correctly for charging to begin.

Meh. Disappointed for sure. Will not work with my battery case.

    • Written by Donna W from Freeport

As a charger for my XS Max, it works but as one reviewer stated, it seems to vibrate off and with the slippery phone, I’ve found it off the charger more times than I want, thus ensuring that my phone does not get charged.

At 7.5 w, it charges slow to me (I normally used wired chargers), You MUST have it placed just so in a sweet spot to charge.

I bought the battery pack XS Max case, thinking that this would charge that too since they are both Qi wireless charging. I thought they would be compatible, but that is NOT the case. So it is a real pain to have to pull the iphone out of that battery case just to charge my phone.

I had a rubber case on my phone before the battery pack case I bought and it did charge my phone through the case. But the phone must lay flat. If you have any protrusion (like a finger strap), the case will not work on this charging unit. Also, you cannot have any metal in the case (to connect to a magnet car mount for instance). That metal will block the charging unit from working.

This unit has an attached wall wired plug. There are no other jacks on the outside of this unit. There is a small green pinpoint light that glows if it is charging.

I would not recommend this unless you absolutely don’t like having a wired charge to your phone.

    Works amazing! But..

It works really great! But only when I take off my Otterbox Defender Case for my iPhone XS Max.... that’s the only downside. But other than that, I don’t have any other issues for now.

GARBAGE - 7.5W Wireless Charging Pad

    • Written by Frank S from Scottsdale

I bought this charging pad with my new iPhone 8 Plus in May 2018 and only 2 - 3 weeks after its use would not charge. Apple Store in Scottsdale replaced it no questions asked. However, since June 2018 it has worked up until yesterday February 14, 2019. This product needs some serious refurbishing and design since both 7.5W wireless charging pads no longer work. Keep your money and do not buy.

    Disappointed

    • Written by David C from SAN RAMON

Received this as a Christmas gift from my sister. On the first day I noticed the back of the iPhone XS getting piping hot after only 20 min. of usage. Tested my son’s XS and his phone was also got very hot after placing on the Belkin pad for 10 min. Obviously this is not good for the battery and can degrade it overtime. I just think it’s abnormal for a phone to heat up like that. Decided to ask my sister to process a return with a Apple. I will stick to the conventional plug-in charger for now.

    PROBLEMS

    • Written by IRA B from NEW YORK

    1. expensive
    2. slow to charge......about 1/2 the time as wired.....which to be fair may be the same time for all wireless 7.5w charging pads.
    3. iphone XS will not stay in the sweet spot. subtle vibrations (i assume) in the wireless induction causes the phone to move out of the charging range because the phone (without a case) is slippery and the silicone of the pad is not grippy enough to prevent the phone from sliding. with a sticky case that may solve the problem. there is one position that the phone does not slide but it is tricky to find.

Works on my iPhone 8, but I have to put it right in the center or it won't charge. This requires a lot of precision, especially when I'm tired. Kind of defeats the purpose of wireless charging.

    Touchy

    • Written by Dylan P from Portland

Admittedly this is my first wireless charger, however I expected it to be far less touchy. I bought it to have on my nightstand, however, in order for it to charge on the XS, you have to have it in just the right position. If you have your phone on silent as I do at night, the best way to tell if it is charging is to wake it up and check, or find the very little green light on the base. Given this was designed with Apple, I was surprised by these flaws. And for $60, there are tons of other options out there. For now, it will go to the office and sit on my desk instead.

    Average charger

    • Written by Dylan H from Singapore

Nice in design. However, it did not meet up to spec as mention by apple staff. Was inform it should take about 30 minutes to fast charge up to 50%. Sadly it did not perform. Place to charge and 30 minutes later , it was not even 50% charged. Is the product really charging st 7.5w? Plug to lighting cable is much faster.

    Not bad...

    • Written by Kim G from Henderson

I didn't really expect much from this device when I bought it and I've been pleasantly surprised. It's much faster than the little 5w plug you receive with your iPhone, but nowhere near as fast as the bigger plug you receive with an iPad. But at 7.5w...it's acceptable. WISH it would charge my new iPad Pro and Apple Watch 4 but sadly, it doesn't...which is why I gave it 3 stars. I also do not like the huge DC plug this comes with; it's rectangular and almost 2 inches in length and it's not convenient for use with other devices plugged into a surge protector. The chord is an acceptable length and it doesn't unplug from the unit easily either. There are a few "sweet spots" on the iPhone XS Max that must properly connect with the base to initiate charging; however, it's easily found by placing the phone on the pad and then sliding the phone up or down to locate it. The phone makes a noise and the battery symbol turn green when it does. Also, there's a green light on the base that lets you know the device is charging too if you're ever unsure. Overall it's a good alternate charging device, I just wish it was capable of charging more than just my iPhone.
