    Pricey but nice...

    I have purchased both the 1m & 2m. I’ve been using this for my iPad Pro 10.5” (2nd gen), iPhone X and iPhone XS Max. Worth the additional money to enable the “quick charge” capabilities (when used with the 18w). So far, no issues with the cord at all. I’ve been using the 2m “USB to Lighting” cables since 2017 timeframe, no issues at all with those. This USB-C to Lighting cable feels more durable than those and pose a great longevity. I recommend this if you have an iPad or iPhone that has the fast charge capabilities. Far superior than the slow 5w & 1m cord it comes with.

    Not worth for money. Disappointed.

    2 meter charging cable is not even 10 months and its not working. When i went to the apple store , they said it is having a corrosion or burnt pin of the cable. so they cant replace a new cable.What all they can help me with is to sell me new 2 m cable . Which is 45 cad$ . Im an owner of 13’macbook ,6s and a 8+. My decision is to not buy any more apple products .

    How is this $35

    I am honestly that guy that defends Apple in almost everything they do. I love the design of their products and they add a lot of value to my life, and at this point I’m shoulder-deep in their ecosystem.

    But how can they possibly justify attaching a $35 price tag to this cable????

    It does feel slightyyy chunkier than the USB-A > Lightning cable (2m) that I have, so that’s nice. Maybe this one will last me longer than a year before strain relief damage splits the sheathing... maybe not. (I wish I had a pair of calipers to measure, but the diameter increase seems to be just a fraction of a millimeter.) But I’m only buying one because I recently upgraded my iPad Pro, so I now carry a USB-C power brick around with me everywhere I go and want to be able to charge my iPhone with it. This is been my solution for years – I certainly don’t want to carry 2 chargers with me everywhere. It’s bad enough that I just had to buy this cable because the iPhones have not yet made the transition to USB-C (I’m assuming they will this year).

    So anyway I know that there are inevitable growing pains when transitioning from one I/O standard to another, and it makes sense that some products would be first to adopt the change, what with independent product-release cycles and all. But at $35, it’s like I’m being punished for dropping the thousand dollars to upgrade my iPad. I don’t understand why they aren’t trying to help out people like me that are caught in the awkward middle ground as Apple goes about staggering USB-C introduction in their product line. Instead they clearly see this as an opportunity to profit off a $35 cable.

    I mean honestly the profit margin must be gargantuan.

    Pretty good, but prone to rust

    Started to burn the tip off of the lightning side.

    Well title says all. I bought this to power delivery charge my iPad Pro 10.5 since this is the only cable capable to do it. Well I have apples usb c power delivery wall charger and only works half the time with the cable. After a couple of months of minimal use, the tip started to get really hot well this is normal when more amperage is flowing through a circuit, which is known as a voltage drop. The loss of voltage occurs and converts to heat. So I then started noticing little black spots on the lightning connector contacts. I looked at them with my microscope and notice burnt spots and some parts of the contacts are no longer there. This is very poor build quality and was not tested enough. So Apple if you can't get it right, let third party companies like Anker have the appropriate resources to make a proper MFI usb c to lightning cable. Also why are you still selling this without fixing the problem?

    Didn’t work after 2nd use!!

    Mum picked up this charger for me. It charged fine on the first time but the second time it was on and off charging. This is really upsetting spending $60 on a charger and it not even working.

    I never write reviews, but I'm so disappointed in the quality of this product. The first one we purchased broke with very light use -- the piece that connects into the iPhone just came out of the cord. The second one we purchased stopped working after a week. I work from home, do everything via conference calls, and am 37 weeks pregnant, so not having a charged phone is not an option. Instead of making it easy to facilitate a replacement, Apple requires you to ship the item back to them before they will issue a refund for replacement -- meaning the whole process takes over a week to complete, leaving you without a working charger the entire time. Unacceptable. If you are are going to create products that are so essential to people's safety and well-being, you need to have better systems in place to ensure they work properly or can be replaced easily/quickly.

    $35 cable that only lasted 6 months

    The worst part of the cable breaking is that the cable didn't even tear on the outside, it just stopped working. About to go see if warranty will cover this. But still a let down regardless.

    Otherwise, excellent cable. The speed at which it could charge your Iphone was seriously impressive. Just a shame that it's not immune to breaking easily like the rest of Apples cables.

    Super cheap plastic junk. Cable too long to be convenient and manageable ( but the shorter option of 18 in is waaaay too short). Doesn't wind up, too stiff to be compact. I'm just so disappointed. To think I had to pay $19 to purchase a cable to go with an extra charger that's also a piece of junk. What gives, Apple. With a trillion net worth one would think you'd want to improve and enhance your reputation not cut it to the bone.

    I had this able for a year and it shows no signs of wear and tear so much more worth buying then the cheap amazon ones.

    I'm buying a second one for at work.

    I am very critical of Apple but they did this cable right

    Poorly made

    This cable looks great, but don’t expect it to last more than a few months. Either the lightning side will break where the cable meets the connector (my first one of these cables) or it will simply stop working as a result of some other faulty component. I have $70 invested in two useless, broken cables now.

    2m Charging Cable

    Purchased and this one, worked less than 2 weeks - will never buy again! Have bought 5 cables of this kind, others worked for about 4-6 months. Instead of replacing, as they know there is a problem(for something that probably costs them under $2.00), support was willing to send new but put hold on credit card until they got old one back because they don’t trust that I will return it! Haven’t even had it for two weeks. Should own up to problem, apologize and send new immediately - no cost! Horrible way to do business Apple!!!

    Lightning plug broke after a few months

    I purchased this cable to charge my iphone X faster than the standard USB > lightning cables. I usually keep the cable and power brick plugged into my kitchen island outlet and am very careful with my electronics/accessories. Recently I plugged my phone in and noticed it wasn't charging. I tried several outlets before I realized the lightning "tab" (for lack of a better term) is wobbly in the cable housing. Something is definitely broken and no amount of cable-fu has fixed it. I'm going to need a new one, but they're so expensive. This shouldn't happen after only 4-5 months of light use. This is the first time I've had problems with an Apple cable of any type, and needless to say I'm rather disappointed.

    I expected a better quality cable from Apple

    Apple's major branding point is "you pay for quality." They did not follow through on their brand promise with this product. I've had to replace the cable twice in 1 year. It's definitely time for Apple to reinvent the charging and connection process.

    Apple needs new rubber

    Apple lightning cords and power cords all fray at the end. Sometimes in a few months or at least in a few years. The rubber cracks and peels back exposing the bare wire. I'm really surprised that Apple has allowed this problem to go on for so long. What's with the lack of motivation to address this?

    Lightning end is bad after 1 month

    Like title says, after a mont mh the lightning end got a weird kink and now the cable has to be at certain angles for the cable to work.

    Not worth the price

    Typical of Apple, they always think about their pockets only and don't care about costumers. I literally bought an iPhone 8 plus 256 GB and they don't ever bother to add fast charging cable in it!! The old 5 watt wall brick and the same cable that doesn't support fast charge! So I had to buy them separately and the cable started to peal off after 4 months! You guys make your cables so cheap in material and their price doesn't justify the quality!

    The WORST

    Hi, Not sure what Apple's problem is with their cables, but they are the WORST! They never last, always get a "this device is not supported" message, a green color around the tip of the charger and they are way too short. Apple, stop being cheap and fix these problems! We pay enough money for the iPhone and we deserve accessories that work and last. After all, we are paying for them.

    Works greak a few months and fails

    Works great a few months and fails at the cable to lightning connector interface. The have been having this same issue for years with all Apple lightning cables. They need to beef up thier cables with strain relief at the connectors. There are better generic alternatives for usb to lightning cables that I buy. Not sure about usc-c to lightning (these are still kinda new).
