    Very Upset! Breaks Very Easily!!

    I am a college student and I got the MacBook Pro in July. It's October and I've already had to buy another charger because the old one doesn’t charge the MacBook. I plugged the chord in and it would say it’s charging, then it would say its not charging and it would just repeat. While this is happening the screen is flickering from bright to dark, and the sound can’t be on because it makes the same noise that it makes when you charge an apple product over and over again. It gets very annoying. I thought it was my fault that the charger stopped working but I actually read the reviews before I got the replacement charger and they said that the chord was really sensitive. So I just said I'd be extra careful with the chord when it comes in. I just got my replacement a couple of days ago (4 days ago) and its already doing the same thing that the old charger did. I JUST got the charger and I've been very careful with it. I've barely been touching it and its doing the exact same thing. I'm extremely upset! It’s like $20 gone to waste and I have to use this computer for school so I have to be able to charge it.

    Doesn't work

    I bought this cable almost two months ago as a replacement for my old apple charger that was falling apart because I bent it too much and it was as I said, falling apart. Two days ago my replacement cable (this one) stopped working. I have to position the wire multiple times to get it to continuously charge instead of turning on and off. Before this I went out of my way to make sure I didn't bend the cord too much so it wouldn't break faster. But I did that for no reason as this just quit working. Don't waste your time buying this

    Apple perhaps..just maybe you could pick up your game and stop selling shoddy merch. This is the third power cable I have had to get this year. The rubber portion cracks(degrades), the plastic portion cracks and the metal terminals crimp and bend ...oh and by the way I am not some youngin’ swinging a backpack around . I am an over-the-hill-and-through-the-woods 60 year old woman.

    Poor quality

    You would think buying a product from the actual merchant for the phone such as from Apple would guarantee a well-made, long lasting product. However, this is unfortunately not the case. Wire is no longer charging my phone and functioning properly after barely 3 months of use. Very displeased and dissatisfied with apple accessories. Much more worthwhile to buy charges off Amazon for a third of the price.

    I’m a massive Apple fan but I have to say this time for such an expensive cable I feel let down. Mine failed two months after the warranty’s period with no signs of fraying or damage. It was in doors once every couple of days to charge an iPad so saw relatively light use. I think Apple could have st least offered a discount on a new one if they stood by the quality of their products.

    Honestly, buy the Anker equivalent instead. It’s half the price and looks thicker and moe robust.

    Got Broken within short time

    Dispite being happy and excited with this cable and treating it with extra care, it worked fine for like 4 months then starts to act up and not charge iphone until I have to filp it and try multiple times. Problem got worse unitl it is very hard to chrage my iphine. One thing I am sure about is that I took good care of it and never left my room. So disappointed Apple. Thanks Total loss.

    Well idk eBay you spend less then ten bucks and here your spend 30 both did last me long at all and I bought more then one for my kids too yea they get pulled apart apple you need to make these stronger for the people that don’t a stationary place for my job I go from hotel to hotel so I need durability period and my kids do as well fix this apple

    Disposable and Poorly Made

    The lightning cable at 2m is the correct size for the vast majority of users.
    Three main issues appear with this product. The cable “skin” tears within one year and cracks appears on the hard plastic housing. The tip becomes loose and will not maintain a complete connection with the phone thus failing to properly charge the battery.

    Over all it’s an enormous disappointment and Apple can and must do better .

    2 meter charging cable is not even 10 months and its not working. When i went to the apple store , they said it is having a corrosion or burnt pin of the cable. so they cant replace a new cable.What all they can help me with is to sell me new 2 m cable . Which is 45 cad$ . Im an owner of 13’macbook ,6s and a 8+. My decision is to not buy any more apple products .

    Started to burn the tip off of the lightning side.

    Well title says all. I bought this to power delivery charge my iPad Pro 10.5 since this is the only cable capable to do it. Well I have apples usb c power delivery wall charger and only works half the time with the cable. After a couple of months of minimal use, the tip started to get really hot well this is normal when more amperage is flowing through a circuit, which is known as a voltage drop. The loss of voltage occurs and converts to heat. So I then started noticing little black spots on the lightning connector contacts. I looked at them with my microscope and notice burnt spots and some parts of the contacts are no longer there. This is very poor build quality and was not tested enough. So Apple if you can't get it right, let third party companies like Anker have the appropriate resources to make a proper MFI usb c to lightning cable. Also why are you still selling this without fixing the problem?

    Didn’t work after 2nd use!!

    Mum picked up this charger for me. It charged fine on the first time but the second time it was on and off charging. This is really upsetting spending $60 on a charger and it not even working.

    I never write reviews, but I'm so disappointed in the quality of this product. The first one we purchased broke with very light use -- the piece that connects into the iPhone just came out of the cord. The second one we purchased stopped working after a week. I work from home, do everything via conference calls, and am 37 weeks pregnant, so not having a charged phone is not an option. Instead of making it easy to facilitate a replacement, Apple requires you to ship the item back to them before they will issue a refund for replacement -- meaning the whole process takes over a week to complete, leaving you without a working charger the entire time. Unacceptable. If you are are going to create products that are so essential to people's safety and well-being, you need to have better systems in place to ensure they work properly or can be replaced easily/quickly.

    Horrible

    Super cheap plastic junk. Cable too long to be convenient and manageable ( but the shorter option of 18 in is waaaay too short). Doesn't wind up, too stiff to be compact. I'm just so disappointed. To think I had to pay $19 to purchase a cable to go with an extra charger that's also a piece of junk. What gives, Apple. With a trillion net worth one would think you'd want to improve and enhance your reputation not cut it to the bone.

    Poorly made

    This cable looks great, but don’t expect it to last more than a few months. Either the lightning side will break where the cable meets the connector (my first one of these cables) or it will simply stop working as a result of some other faulty component. I have $70 invested in two useless, broken cables now.

    2m Charging Cable

    Purchased and this one, worked less than 2 weeks - will never buy again! Have bought 5 cables of this kind, others worked for about 4-6 months. Instead of replacing, as they know there is a problem(for something that probably costs them under $2.00), support was willing to send new but put hold on credit card until they got old one back because they don’t trust that I will return it! Haven’t even had it for two weeks. Should own up to problem, apologize and send new immediately - no cost! Horrible way to do business Apple!!!

    Apple needs new rubber

    Apple lightning cords and power cords all fray at the end. Sometimes in a few months or at least in a few years. The rubber cracks and peels back exposing the bare wire. I'm really surprised that Apple has allowed this problem to go on for so long. What's with the lack of motivation to address this?

    Lightning end is bad after 1 month

    Like title says, after a mont mh the lightning end got a weird kink and now the cable has to be at certain angles for the cable to work.

    Not worth the price

    Typical of Apple, they always think about their pockets only and don't care about costumers. I literally bought an iPhone 8 plus 256 GB and they don't ever bother to add fast charging cable in it!! The old 5 watt wall brick and the same cable that doesn't support fast charge! So I had to buy them separately and the cable started to peal off after 4 months! You guys make your cables so cheap in material and their price doesn't justify the quality!

    The WORST

    Hi, Not sure what Apple's problem is with their cables, but they are the WORST! They never last, always get a "this device is not supported" message, a green color around the tip of the charger and they are way too short. Apple, stop being cheap and fix these problems! We pay enough money for the iPhone and we deserve accessories that work and last. After all, we are paying for them.
