    Broken after six months

    • Written by Andrew R

The sounds quality of these headphones is what you expect. the problem is 6 months after purchasing my headphones would turn off during work out. at first it was about 20 minutes into my work out and i would get by. it progressively got worst with time and would turn off about 5 minutes into my work out before i would really start sweating. Unfortunately for me by the time this happened it was out of coverage. these headphones are advertised to be worked out with and it is really disappointing they didnt last longer than 6 months. i will purchase other products in the future

    Battery Life

    • Written by Camila S

The advertised 12-hour battery life is ultimately what sold me when choosing a pair of headphone for the gym. I bought the wireless Powerbeats3 a few months ago but the battery barely lasts an hour and a half on a full charge....I've even made sure to leave them charging for a couple of hours but it doesn't make a difference. It gets really frustrating. If the battery life were better, these would get a higher rating as everything else is perfect.

    Poor build quality!

    • Written by Nicholas H

The sound is great, battery life is amazing, but the build quality is very poor! Didn’t even last a year before it fell apart from use.

I would love to give this five stars, but...

    • Written by Eli F

Connection controls ruin an otherwise amazing headphone. If I connect to a device, I would like to be connected to that device, especially if I reconnect to it a hundred times over the span of five minutes. What possible use could there be between pinging a connection back and forth between two devices. If you don't mind ALWAYS shutting off the Bluetooth on the devices you don't use, or if you live on a technological island with one Bluetooth device, these are the earphones for you. Otherwise, stay AWAY.

Sound good, connectivity good, durability bad.

    • Written by Tyler B

Loved the headphones for the two maybe three months I used em, after which they won't take a charge, turn on, led is off. The only wear and tear exposure they had was excessive sweating. Granted I'm a heavy sweater, but for adverting it's sweat and water resistance and it to break to such circumstances is annoying.

    Disappointed

    • Written by Matthew B

Great sound, but poor durability. I try to baby my headphones, but they are falling apart. The eartips routinely fall off and are easily lost. The battery does not live up to expectations. But, they sound nice.

    Broke Under 6 months

    • Written by Tyler E

Would use headphones everyday, great sound when they are able to stay in your ear... After constant readjustments during workouts and regular walking throughout my day, one of the "hooks" has just broken off. Quite disappointed with the quality of these headphones considering their price. I had them only for a few months

    Been through 3 pairs

    • Written by brendan H

These earphones are nice to use for the time that they last. I had three pairs of these and they all did the same thing. Not long in to me having them they just stopped charging and didn't work anymore. Time for some apple air pods

    Poor Sound (pandora and Spotify)

    • Written by Preston S from Collingswood

Thee sound is great when you use iTunes. If you use pandora, Spotify, YouTube. Really ANY other platform the max sound is drastically lower. It’s very disappointing trying to workout and having to readjust the earbuds to try and seal into your ears and even then it’s still low.
When using iTunes no adjusting is needed. 2 stars because Beats is an apple partner. This is inexcusable for an iPhone.

    Only last a few months

    • Written by Nathan D

I was very excited to get this product but if you are using them while running and or something where you sweat, they will not last for you. They were great until after having them roughly 3 or 4 months they just stopped turning on. I took great care of them as they were so expensive and am very disappointed. I would not recommend to anyone who wants them for exercise or frequent use.

great design, great sound, but poor build quality

    • Written by Jim N from Menlo Park

I have purchased two of these and may buy another. I love how secure these feel in my ears, they hold well when I run, etc. The sound is great, I can keep the volume low and the earphone and mic are great with telephone calls. The volume control is also great.
My reason for a 2 star rating is the build quality. First the cushions for the earbuds comes off easily and I lose them in my pocket or briefcase. Second the volume control has come apart, but it still works with some gentle pressing. Lastly the build of the over the ear hooks comes apart, to keep using mine I have taped it in place.
I am waiting and patiently hoping for the next version that will be more water/sweat proof, better build quality, but seems like it may be a long wait.

It works fine with my laptop and phone

It works but I couldn't find any single point to differentiate it from my $20ish Bluetooth headsets from Samsung, LG and ANKER.

    Sound is no good

    • Written by Kevin R

The sound quality on these is not good at all. They sound flat and they are not very loud. Forget trying to do anything fast like biking, the wind noise is so loud that you have to turn these up full blast. The cord that connects them is kind of tacky. Don't wear it where the cord lays on the back of your neck, when you turn your head it pulls the headphone out. The only redeeming factor for this is that it connects to your Iphone seamlessly. If I didn't get these for free I would have returned them.

PowerBeats 3 Wireless buttons stop working after work out

    • Written by LIWEI L

After the 50 mins workout, Powerbeats3 Wireless start acting weird by keeping reducing the volume. Right after multiple time reducing volume happened, the buttons stop working. Was trying to reset it, but due to the volume down button is not responding. There is no way to reset it. I can still listen to the music on it, but lost the volume control and failed to use it to make a call.

    Not reliable

    • Written by Rishi G from Jersey city

These lose the grip with the use and the battery for mine just wouldn’t charge although they were working a day ago. I’ve been using them for a year so I understand getting weaker but not getting discharged. I bought it thinking it’s a longer batter life but not worth it if I could get AirPods for cheaper or even the bose wireless with the charging case are cheaper.
Also to change the battery it costs 100$ which half or 3/4th the price of new ones.

Stopped working, less than 2 months

    • Written by Della R

I got the beats as a gift. Recently deployed and thought that these would be perfect to take with me. Well after using it 5 days a week, maybe 2 hrs a day (only at the gym) they quit working. The charging light looks as if charging, but once removed it won’t turn on. Then stopped working altogether. I’ve read reviews about resetting and that didn’t work either. What a waste of $$. They were decent while they lasted but I’ll stick to skull candy or JBLs.

    Battery irritatingly bad

    • Written by Doug A from Ottawa

Sound quality is wonderful...for 20-45 minutes...which is about all I ever get after a full charge. I've tried the tricks. I now carry a charger while I run or cycle because when it suddenly shuts down, I can sometimes trick it into having full life again by plugging it into the charger for a few seconds. But who wants to do THAT? Come on, man! We deserved better.

    Apple Lifer

    • Written by Erik M

I don't mind paying more for a quality product. In fact I prefer it. The Powerbeats3 failed me after 18 months of normal wear and careful handling. Just didn't power up one morning, no red lights, no blinking lights, just dead. With so many other competitor options I will be breaking my string of Apple loyalty when I replace these headphones.
