Lost a star because of a feature I expected

Overall I am very pleased with my apple AirPods. I have one huge disappointment though. While researching the AirPods I kept reading about a feature to seamlessly connect between my phone and my computer as to not need to actually go into bluetooth settings and select connect. When I purchased them and found out that feature had been removed I was extremely disappointed. I was tempted to only give them 3 stars, but other than that one feature I am very pleased.

    Awesome product...

Those who have given less positive reviews... if they fall out of your ears you can get cheap gel skins that hold them in tight. Those so called audiophiles who say the sound quality is not brilliant - well I AM an audiophile having been involved in music professionally for over 30 years. I have owned Sennheiser, Bose etc and bang for buck these are up there with them - so well worth the money. I got these and on opening the charge box the connect option popped up on my iPhone X. Went straight to playing Something (VIP) by Azedia to check out the bass notes in particular - absolutely brilliant... across the whole range! These are better than any other earphones produced by Apple. Make sure you have the right equalisation settings on your phone to get the best out of these. Highly recommended *****

Can’t find when lost/connection started dropping.

They were great when I first got them. Took them to work for 6 months I’m in the building trade. Get a call. Put them in get great sound on call then listen to music. Wear them at gym, don’t fall out. Started to lose connection last few weeks. The problem is the box is so shiny slippery and small it falls out of your pocket lost them last week at cinema visit. No iphone finder to find them as this only works when they are out of the box. I think they need a way to attach the box (iPod shuffle) keyring attachment!

    Disappointing

    Negatives:
Bluetooth: Connectivity has been a major issue. Daily dropped calls, losing connection while listening to music, etc.
Microphone: The microphone is super sensitive; it captures EVERYTHING. Make sure you're in a quiet place when talking on the phone.
Battery Life: Nowhere near as good as advertised.

    Positives:
Ear compatibility: The airpads do sit nicely in the ears. Good for walking around your house listening to music (when the bluetooth connection works).

Prognosis: While the airpods do work ok when in a home environment, I would not recommend buying them for more than $40-$50. If you can get them at that price point, then enjoy! Otherwise, buy a lower cost alternative that will maintain a bluetooth connection.

Awesome - Better than I expected

I work at home and spend a lot of time on my mobile phone while walking around and doing other things. I needed something I could put in my ears and forget. AirPods fit the bill perfectly. They are super comfortable to leave in for a long time, have great sound and seem to pick up my voice just as well as a wired set. I need to be mindful of recharging after really long calls but for my use-case that is never a problem. The effective range pretty much covers the space of my condo but I due to cement walls it can get a bit iffy when I'm at the furthest point away from my phone. I generally keep the phone in the same room but it's not an issue to walk away.

    Great investment!

    Fantastic product

The seamless connection, great sound quality, durable/attractive build, and extensive battery life make this a must buy for anyone in the apple ecosystem.

Great...when they work, which is rarely

I bought the Apple AirPods in May 2018. Don't get me wrong, I love the sound quality - when they work. I would have one AirPod that wouldn't play music (usually the left one) while the right worked just fine. Thinking it was a charging issue, I cleaned the connection point and it connected and showed 98% battery on that left AirPod. I tried "forgetting the device" and reconnecting, I tried turning off auto detect for when they are in your ears, I turned the microphone to only one side - all the suggestions I could find online. All were temporary fixes or didn't work at all. I couldn't complete a simple 1 hour workout without losing sound in either of the AirPods while the functions (tapping for next or previous song worked just fine). When they would both play music, the sound coming out of the left AirPod was much quieter than the right regardless of volume. From what I have read online from other users, it appears to be a firmware problem and I am very disappointed in the product for the price point.

    Replacement is expensive!

I like the design, but I regret buying it in the first place because what initially cost 160$, after a couple of months already turned into 234$ (adding the replacement of one lost piece), which is a crazy cost for what the device actually is. The 'Find my airpods' feature is useless. It says it should show a record of the last location of the airpods, but does not work at all.

Air pods review - Bring Life to your AirPods

Air pods are the best for hands free communication while on you go or while you work. I really loved the product

    Pros:
    1. Easy to configure your brand new air-pods with your phone
    2. simple Steps, user friendly
    3. High quality sound
    4. Reduced noise

    Cons:
    1. There is no visual or sensual communication for the user to understand that Airpods are on low battery and they need to charge, other than seeing on phone
    2. I kept listening and all of sudden I saw there is no audio on my left one, however the right one is still rendering the audio. Then I gave all the tires and later I figured out that its running out of battery.

    Suggestion for Improving:
Users can't keep tracking the battery of pods on phone very frequently. Especially while they are on long drivers and on work environment. They just wants hand free.
    1. I suggest once the battery charge comes down to 20%, there should be a voice message from siri or from her boy friend telling your airpords are about to die and ask user to charge the battery..
    2. Also phone should give a voice message on to pods asking, whether user want to go to auto power saving mode once battery drops by by some xx % let's say (45%) on the phone. As user want to be more on hands free
    3. At the same time when my iwatch is getting drained give a voice message.
This way I see my Pods have some intelligence than a just a dummy wireless speaker.
    Bring Life to your AirPods

    Has potential

I can't be the only person out there that experiences problems with the fit of the AirPods. I wish there were sizing options (like beats) for the AirPods. There are third-party ear grips that you can purchase, but I find them annoying because you have to remove them every time you want to place the pods back into their case. If there was a way to change the sizing of the AirPods, I would give them 5-stars. I love the design of the AirPods, but its ultra-sleekness aids the AirPods out of my ears.

Apple airpods - should be able to adjust volume

I hope the next generation airpods will have an option to adjust the volume by sliding your finger up and down on either side of the airpods (or both). Unless I have my phone with me, I cannot adjust the volume. ex. when I want to hear someone talking while continuing to listing to music. Please make this happen for the next generation!

    Great Airpods

Just got this Airpods a week ago and I am amaze on how easy it is to use and connect on my iPhone and MacBook Air. It sounds pretty clear but could be better. It's pretty handy and fits well in my ear. It also have some great features that I really love. I would highly recommend this gadget. Two thumbs up. Well done Apple.

    Convenient and Well Made

AirPods are so nice to have if you're an avid music listener, or book listener, whatever audio you might want to experience AirPods are the way to go. The connectivity is seamless, the sound is great and it keeps its charge very well, even with moderate-heavy use. I'm so sad mine got stolen! going back to corded earbuds, I remembered how much I hate running with a cord in my way. And having to pause my music when I take out my earbuds for a second or two. No wonder mine got stolen!

    Love my AirPods

I have had my AirPods for about 6 months now and I have no complaints. The sound anthem is great and very clear. They are easy to connect to all of my different products. They work great with my iPhone, Apple Watch, and MacBook Pro. Though they did seem to fit awkwardly in my ears at first, they now fit naturally and they don't ever fall out, even when running and exercising. I highly recommend this product!

    AMAZING!!!

I jsut got mine yesterday and I’m so happy with them the Bluetooth connection is crazy powerful. I was downstairs and I left my phone on the table upstairs and was still able to talk on the phone with my friend. They are so worth it plus you don’t have to untagle the cord. Worth the money!

    Airpods

I like the Airpods, but wish they would stay in my ears. I am new to using these so maybe it will get better with time. I do like the ease of use and charger. Still debating the price.

    Best Headphones Ever

i was worried before buying these airpods i did a lot of research because i wear turban hence its difficult for me to slip in all type of inear headphones , then i visited apple store near me they provide me a pair of headphones to try , that fits me well, i am really happy with purchase
some point i want t mention
    1. they sound really really good ,now i am get used to their sound and all other headphones just doesn't sounds good after listening to them
    2. they are extremely light i don't know if there is a design difference between the wired earpods and the others but these are extremely comfortable
    3. battery backup on calls is bit less, but i put one headphone at a time and let other recharge
    4. connectivity is good, sometime i have issues with connecting but 80/100 times works well
    5. case is very well designed, it charges pods quickly.
the only concern , what i have read on internet about the emf from these headphones, apple will not discuss about this and cannot give you any detail on this either, so bear with it
I highly recommend these even over beats

    Better than expected

I hesitated to purchase this product first because I thought it was overrated. But then, I ended up thinking having a bluetooth headset would be convenient especially where you can't hold the phone while driving even being on a call so I decide to purchase this product and I'm glad to I did. It made my life so convenient and so much easier!
