I’ve had the gold beats for about 1 year now and I think it’s a good headphone. I live in a cold area and I’ve noticed my battery life draining lately it’s probably down to about 75% capacity. I’ve also used them about everyday for the past year, I definitely got my money’s worth. The one problem I have and have never been able to get rid of is comfort. It’s very difficult to get comfy with an on ear headphone. I owned the solo 2 also which is about 4 years of solo beats for me and I’ve always had a comfort issue. I do realize that when I’m listening at school or wherever I don’t notice any issues. I would definetly recommend this for a first time buyer buy if you have the extra $150 I would suggest the beats studio 3’s just for comfort.

These things sound better than the Pro's that were $600 when i bought them, these are also newer, but WOW! The bass isn't bad either. They are comfortable, and sound great.

    Great sound, low quality

one of the best on ear headphones I've had but the case and clip broke within a month and I now have nothing to carry them in. Should be a warranty for the case! I would love a new one.

Beats have a short shelf live

    • Written by Earl R

We have 5 pairs of Beat and this is our second set. 3 out of the second set of 5 of the Wireless V3, once again only work in one ear after one year.

Good sound but very poor quality build

    • Written by Colin M

Product produces decent sound but NOT sound that justifies a $300 price. What is the most disappointing about these headphones is that the ear pad cover comes off the padding. It happened to my first pair and they were repaired under warranty. Then the same thing happened with my new pair, except now it’s past warranty. Now I watch others wearing Beats Solo3s and I see that half of them have the same issue. This is way unacceptable and I feel like the money I paid for my Beats was stolen from me. Do not buy this product.

    Not so good

    • Written by Sandeep N

If you are hearing something then expect everyone in the room hearing this. Don't sound too great. Hurt my ears when used for an hour. Couldn't avoid getting these since its what I got on education deal on my macbook pro. Also, these are low on bass from what I observed. Also, avoid white since the ear pads are not of good quality.

9 months in and they still work great

    • Written by Abigail B

I've had them for over 9 months and they still work great. I use them all the time, especially for long car drives and they are amazing. The battery life is great too, it lasts forever and charging doesn't take long even when you listen use them while charging or even with the charger it didn't come with. I don't have much experience with headphones, but the music is very clear and I can hear more of it with the headphones on than without. They are also very comfortable and I haven't had problems with them in that sense. I've seen a bunch of reviews saying how the cushions break easily and how they stop working very quickly, but I've not experienced any of that to date.

Worked great at first until about 6 months later, when the battery stopped holding its charge. I could fully charge it in the morning, not use it at all, and by the end of the day it would be dead. Took the headphones to Apple because it was under warranty and they didn't fix it. Didn't even care to replace the battery or replace the whole thing. Paid way too much for some defective headphones.

    Awesome but...

    • Written by Tori F

I love these headphones and I'm really glad I bought them. I have on the beats solo3 on ear headphones and I wear them for hours at a time. This may just be me but they hurt my ears after a while and I have to take them off. I would suggest getting the over ear headphones.

    Worth the money.

    • Written by Tashiira H

Very good product. Would recommend to anyone who doesn't exercise. Wonderful noise cancellation. Had to return twice because ear cushions came off. Apple support was amazing for both transaction, I received full support. If you do work out regularly, and plan to use your the solos 3's, I would recommend the powerbeats. Otherwise the best pair of headphones I've ever had. Totally worth the money, a real imvestment.

Great product, great sound but really cheap on long term

    • Written by philippe T

I bought a pair of solo 2 years ago and I loved it. The sound is great and everything went well. Unfortunately, like many products today, the quality is very very cheap. Im a person who treat and pay attention to his things. I only use those headphones to work at home and I never travel with them. So to see that they break after only 2 years, its really disappointing. I was expecting more from a company like beats. I understand that their warranty is for 1 year. But does that means that if you pay 300$ and let them on a nightstand or a workdesk, its normal they break ? (What I mean by breaking is that the collapsible parts have loose up) From my point of view, No ! Maybe I was unlucky, but I really don't recommended this brands because if a person like me breaks his headphones so easily, I can't imagine what a person who carry is headphones day by day will experienced...

    Stay away from this garbage

    • Written by Pierre M

Don’t be fooled by all the hype on this garbage product. Just go on YouTube to see how many people have had the right driver just stop working. Also sound wise they’re terrible. Like I said, all hype just like every other Apple product.

    Not for the gym

    • Written by B R

Bought these and was really excited! Finally broke down and bought a quality pair of headphones. Went to the gym to get my “swole” on. Sound is awesome! Was loving them and my purchase! They got a little sweat on them, and wouldn’t shut off!! Returned them the next day. Got another brand new pair. Headed back to the gym. (Typically the only place I will use them) Same story, got a little sweat on them, and this pair wouldn’t do anything!!!! Completely froze. Returned and went with Plantronics Sport, which ended up being $150 CHEAPER! They’re still working after much abuse. Highly disappointed in Beats.

    Love them

    • Written by Edwin D

They are amazing and the battery life is great. If you are a day to day user like I am I recommend them. Only one problem after a while your ears started to hurt a little from the pressure of how tight they are but you get used to it. Definitely worth the money.
