Original Wire from Box Still Works

Don't know why other people wires are breaking. Mine still work since I bought the SE back in May 2016. 28-months track record and still no signs of breakage.

Cheaply Made and DO NOT LAST

How many of these do I have t buy before I realize I am making the same mistake over and over!! They do not last and I have bought at least 6 of them and all have the same issues. If you plan on using this regularly or moving it I would save the money and buy one from Amazon.

    Break easily

The cables break easily: really easily. They don’t last long at all.

    No problems

I visited this site to buy another charger cable so that I could use it separately from the charger on my computer. I have had my original charger cable for three or four years, used daily, and have never has one fail. I do not understand what people do with their cables to make them fail. I was surprised to read some of the reviews. My experience has been nothing but excellent.

Poor quality, stopped charging in 7 weeks

Looks good, but Poor build quality, stopped charging in 7 weeks. With good and safe use in one location
No option but to try luck at store repair or purchase again, will try third party this time.

    Bad Experience

i honestly think apple knows these cables are horrible, NOBODY should have to keep wasting money on something that's gonna break a few months later with that being said apple should replace all cables without paying for these despite if your warranty has expired

    Isn’t working

I always believe in buying Apple products as they last. However I bought this cable last month as a replacement to my original Apple iPhone cable that had died a death. However this already isn’t working and hasn’t been working very well for a couple weeks and now it just point blank refuses to charge any device

    Phone charger have always sucked

From the old pin days, to the recent lightning chargers, I've NEVER had a decent cable. Within 3 months "Device does not support this accessory". I thought it would've been fixed with the lightning cable. I just buy store brand for for 5-10 bucks if I get the same use out of them. Really the only decent cable is the car charger I got in a Verizon package. It's charges twice as fast and I've never had to replace it.

    Favorite cable ever

Disregard all these bad reviews if you are actually careful with stuff. Everyone says they fall apart are tear, but that's NEVER happened to me. Just don't bend the cable up and fold it over. It's not that hard.
These cables not only look great but work great too. I still have and use cables from like 2012, they really do hold up.

Lasts very long but breaks after 4 years

These Apple Lightning cables works like a charm, and I had one for 4 years already. These Lightning cables last quite a long time, but after 4 years of use, the outer coating of the cable breaks. Even though it still works on my iPhone! Thanks god Apple has improved the cables this year with the Lightning cable materials more durable- and less potential to not be broken.

So I bought a new IPod charger just a few weeks ago, probably like the 3rd one in 2 months, NOT GOOD! This one that I just recently bought, I haven't been rough on at all, is broken again, I don't know why your chargers are going down the drain so much lately but you need to fix it! Even the chargers with the thick material that is supposed to protect your chargers is breaking, I just don't understand and it bothers me that I have to spend like 20 dollars on a new charger almost every month! IT'S RIDICULOUS!!

Works great but needs a new design.

The charger for my car needs to be replaced at least once a year because of the poor design. I usually sit the phone in my cup holder which causes the cord to bend to the left or right. By it doing that the wires on the inside basically get torn and damaged causing it to stop working properly. What also helps me is that I disconnect the cord from the base and not the cord. The Apple store told me to do that to prevent damage to the cord. If the cord was made thicker to help with everyday use, this cord would be great. Besides the design, the cord works great for charging. On a dead battery, I get at least 50% power within 30mins.

they break constantly. literally have to buy one every other month. apple being as greedy as they are make it impossible to use a cheaper charger, like one from 7/11. terrible

    Awful Apple

These cords are cheap, they break quickly, but I am forced to buy them because Apple has made it so that I can’t use any other kind of lightning cable. “This accessory is not supported”. Every time I see that notification pop-up it makes me hate Apple even more. They come off as self righteous and greedy for money. The next phone I get will not be an iPhone I can guarantee you that.

    Redesign the cables

I wish I could give this 0 stars. Apple continuously uses material on the outside of their cables that is very prone to fraying and exposing customers to the wiring on the inside, which can be dangerous (not to mention it's also bad for the environment when the customer ultimately has to throw the old one out and buy a new one). Apple is well aware that there is a problem with the material they use because people have been complaining for years that the cables cannot handle regular daily use. It is really pathetic that Apple cannot create a cable that is functional. I know they value design, but it is entirely possible to create a product that looks good and is also sturdy. My only guess for why Apple refuses to redesign the cables is because the constant need to buy new cables to replace the torn ones has probably created a goldmine for Apple.

Would rate this 0 stars if I could

I received this after placing my order and it never worked correctly. It would stop and start changing constantly but since it was a new cable I just thought it was my phone acting up. After just over 2 weeks (which is conveniently the window of the return policy) the charger has completely stopped working and I’m now out $20 which is a lot of money for a college student. I am extremely disappointed with how terribly this charger was made and I wish I could say I won’t be purchasing this again but sadly I have to to charge my phone. Hopefully the next one I order actually works when I get it.

    Great Cable

Read the reviews and was leery of it's quality until I saw some pictures of the damaged cables. The wire was pulled out of the plug, that told me that the user was pulling on the cable and not on the plug when removing it from the phone or the usb port. If you pull by the plug and not the cable you won't have any problems. I recharge almost daily and have had no problems. Like I said, great cable.

    Worst cable design on earth.

I used to buy an iPhone every time a new generation came out, and the 30 pin cables from the first iphone i bought still worked until the last model that used them was put to bed. I buy about 5 of these ligjtning cables every year. It is an embarasament of engineering, and the fact that apple has let the asthetic design trample over the practical need for a connector relief is downright pathetic. Apple is aware of this and they refuse to improve the design year after year.

The latest iphone I bought will be my last. Way to let your industrial design ruin a great platform.
