    Won’t stop cutting out

    • Written by Kristen K from St peters

I’ve had my AirPods for not even 2 weeks, majority of the time I can only get them to play out of one ear, while a good chunk of the rest of the time is spent listening to them constantly cutting out. $170 for garbage. I have tried resetting them multiple times, don’t recommend if you actually want to listen to music.

One of the best purchases I have made this year.

    • Written by Liv L from East Rockaway

While I was I bit underwhelmed on the lack of improvements Apple made on this generation compared to the first (such as adding new colors, health features, etc.), I am pleasantly surprised. The connection from one device to another is seamless once you first connect the device to your AirPods. The battery life is very much extensive (which you can appreciate as someone in the STEM industry). However, note that the 'Hey Siri' function doesn't always work when you're in windy environments. But overall, I'd say this is a solid and staple product in Apple's lineup.

    I returned Mine

    • Written by Ahmed M from Jubail

I received my pairs on 4/4/2019 and I had to return them after one week of usage.

The right side one is always depleting much faster than the left one. I kept using them for a week to just confirm the situation.

I forced my iPhone to forget them and pairing again. The same issue kept the same. I had to return them after confirming that the issue happened each time after full charge.

    A screaming, Unpleasant sound

    • Written by Evelynn D from Floral city

I was loving them at first and there’s no problem At all about how loud they get, the bass or the size. I used to never use any headphones from apple because the ones with the cord always allowed others to hear your music which doesn’t work while In school. I also couldn’t think of how people would clean them, but I found out it’s either a pencil or have disgusting ear wax clutter up over the months, i don’t know about other people but I clean my ears daily and they still get dirty. Soon or later I finally decided to give AirPods a try, I do love them more than any other headphones I’ve tried even beats. But I wish apple would make some tool that cleans them and doesn’t color them with led. My other issue occurring, which to me was bigger is I’ll be listening to music and I don’t use them very often but it happened to be the two times I was using both AirPods on volume 12, a LOUD static was screaming in my ears. I have read the reviews that are less than 5 stars and haven’t come across anyone else having this problem so I will take it as I bought a default from apple and it was just a bad batch but I put them in to hear my music not to kill my ear drums. This is completely on apple and they should have sent me a new pair but of course they’re not focused on the consumers just finances. Until apple comes out with reliable sound quality and a way to clear the earbuds & the charging case I don’t plan on purchasing from them again.

Better if you don't already have AirPods gen 1

    • Written by Thomas B from MILPITAS

I bought 2 of these to replace our first gen AirPods and honestly the biggest difference is being able to wirelessly charge the headphones. I don't notice any major improvement in sound or design and they still have not come out with any additional colors which was a disappointment. The. battery life is slightly better and being able to use Siri is nice however you have to have "hey Siri" enabled on every device you use the AirPods with which is slightly annoying because we have home pods at home and now saying "hey Siri" will cause multiple devices to turn on...

Overall I do not recommend buying these if you have first get AirPods that aren't too old, there isn't enough of a change to warrant another $200 price tag, better off upgrading your phone or another device.

    I returned mine

    • Written by Milan R from Los Angeles

I received these on Wednesday March 27. Two days after, I noticed the left AirPod doesn't charge properly. AirPods where in the case all night long and in the morning the case was charged 100%, the right AirPod 100%, and the left AirPod 75%. Last night I left 100% charged AirPods and the case on my desk. This morning I found the case 100%, the right 100% and the left 35%. I decided to return it.

    Why Apple....Why?

    • Written by William E from North Richland Hills

    What I like:
-Connects to iPhone easily (can’t tell it’s faster than the previous version)

    What I don’t like:
-Sometimes I want just one earbud in and for some reason this model seems to be having more trouble doing so. It will just disconnect both randomly.
-Maybe just me but it doesn’t fit perfectly in my ears so if I’m laying down or working out I need these hook ear pieces attached. Not a con for everyone.
-“Hey Siri”feature still doesn’t work for me, maybe user error but she can’t hear me
-Sound quality is the same as before.

Worth it if they fit your ear and you like wireless charging. They are not better than the previous version in my book.

Industrial design and engineering tour de force

    • Written by James F. H from Church Hill

As many others have noted, AirPods feature a delightful, almost magical, pairing experience. From the shiny white color to the intentional "fiddle factor" that Jony Ive & Apple's IDG designed into the case, these ear buds are an example of Apple doing what it does best - iterating on a product to make it far more functional and compelling than anything else on the market.

With regard to sound quality, I haven't used EarPods in years, as I find them to offer below average sound quality. They would also constantly fall out of my ears while running or working out. If you prefer the fuller sound and deep bass of Powerbeats 3, you may find these to be lacking in the sound department. If you're fine with EarPods, you'll like these, as they feature markedly better sound than EarPods. For example, notice the much larger port on the back of each AirPod vs. the same - much smaller - port of an EarPod. Sound clarity is excellent.

AirPods have never fallen out of my ears while running or working out. In addition to housing a battery, microphone, and antenna, the stem of each AirPod also aids in establishing/maintaining a proper fit. That said, because of the one size fits all approach, these will not work for everyone.

Due to their open air design, AirPods work best in quiet environments. If you're often in areas with moderate to loud ambient noise, there are far better options on the market.

It's amazing that Apple was able to pack so much technology into something that only weighs 4 grams. This shows that they've learned so much from designing and manufacturing Apple Watch. Overall, I highly recommend them and think AirPods are an engineering and industrial design tour de force.

    Love Them!

Absolutely love the new features with these new Airpods. I have never used Siri as much as I do now with the access that the Airpods allow. The connection between devices is fantastic! They just work!!!

Wired headphones have a better quality

    • Written by Mohammad A from Whitianga

The airpods are good but there is a clear difference between them and the wired headphones, which have much better quality. Also, I tried them when laying down on my right and left side while on bed and the person who I talk to can't hear me. Other than that they are good.

I just bought the second gen AirPods last Thursday. I never used the first gen so I was a little hesitant because I wasn’t sure if they would fit well or if they would be of great quality. I must thought I am not disappointed. The sound is great! Great bass and it does a decent job to cancel out noise. I was surprised by how light they were that they could do what they do. The charge lasts a long time. The AirPods themselves last as long as they say for music (5 hours) but the charging case lasts even longer! And the charge is quick. I got almost a full charge in only 15 minutes. Overall great product. The guy told me when I was purchasing them that the fit is the same size as the earphones with the wire so if those fit well for you then these should to. I have no issues with them falling out. I usually wear them at work and I can move around and do whatever without them moving or anything. I also love the design and how sleek they look. Most wireless headphones are so bulky and big especially the true wireless ones like these that don’t even have a wire to connect to each other. Also the connection is so easy and quick and the range is pretty great too. I walk all around my store at work and it never has any interruptions.

A Clear Step Up From the Original

    • Written by Simon W from Southsea

As someone who loves Apple products and had the first gen AirPods, I knew I was going to upgrade to the gen 2 as soon as they came out but was worried that they may not be enough of a step up to justify the cost. I was wrong. Clearly Apple are pushing the hands free Siri, wireless charging and quicker switching between devices, all of which are great improvements and work very well indeed. However, the points that they are not marketing are the ones which, for me, really justify the change. They are the improved volume and sound. The volume goes much higher now which in turn makes it possible to appreciate the overall improved sound quality. The dynamic range and clarity seem so much better than the originals and the ability to push the volume higher means that actually you don’t miss the much-discussed but not-delivered noise cancelling ability. Overall I have absolutely no regrets about making the upgrade - an amazing product which just got even better!

They don’t work with Skype (for business)

    • Written by Daniel P from St Albans

The AirPods work just as covered by most reviews (perfect functionality as long as you stay within the Apple ecosystem, sound that would be average if they were £15 headphones) but there is one major flaw - although they will pair with a Windows 10 laptop they will not work with Skype (for business).

This may not matter to you but as using them for conference calls was one of my main use cases I sent them back.

The Skype issue is not well advertised, but is documented if you search for it.

Quite Simply the Best Wireless EarBuds

    • Written by Ameer Ali O from London

Easy connection, reliable, feature-rich, and seamless.
The audio quality is fantastic, especially on the AirPod’s (2nd Generation)z
Transitioning from more than one Apple product is an easy process thanks to the fact that upon set up the AirPod’s are attached to your iCloud account. Extremely low latency, which I find very noticeable when typing and hearing the click noises.
They are the best truest wireless EarBuds on the market, even more so than the replica Samsung offerings. Battery life is outstanding and the Wireless Charging is an amazing feature.
Seeing as AirPower won’t be releasing, it would be nice if Apple could make their own stand alone Wireless Charger with their fancy animations and sound effects that was going to be exclusive for the AirPower mat.
Only complaint is of course price. But not everyone is on a budget
