urBeats3 are definitely "Beats" headphones - good & bad

    • Written by Russell F from Thornton

These are definitely Beats style headphones. Meaning overall pretty good but an obvious emphasis on boosting bass frequencies. If that is your preference than these are fine. This is not my preference, as I would rather have completely flat response curve in my earbuds. I have several other earbuds that I would prefer, except of course Apple in its infinite wisdom removed the 3.5mm jack that has existed on devices for 20 years and now has their wonderful proprietary lightning interface. Oh, and the lightning to 3.5mm adapter is complete garbage, read the reviews on that. So you are now left with a choice of which lightning headphones to purchase, that are hopefully decent and not too expensive. These fit that description, not much else.

    Terrible. Returning

    • Written by Krzysztof K from East Kilbride

4 different types of earbuds and none of them give comfortable fit. Keep falling out.
Extremely poor sound quality. No bass. No external noise isolation. Return label printed.

Avoid at all costs. Just by standard apple ones.

    They’re alright?

    • Written by Jacob V from Santa Barbara

I decided to get a new pair of earbuds, so I decided to get these. I get them I test them out and I noticed a difference. I kept switch between the beats to my other pair of earbuds the AirPods (which I use for going out, etc.) and right off the bat the AirPods were better. For the price of these earbuds I would say it’s a little bit expensive, but they are not the worst earbuds, they are still nice, stylish, and comfortable (more comfortable than the AirPods). The audio and bass are an average they’re not the best but not the worst at the same time. I’d say if you want earbuds just to use for every day use these aren’t that bad, but if you have extra money you could find some better ones.

Superior sound quality. Comfortable in the ear. 3 sizes of buds to choose from. Awesome to no longer need to worry with the Apple dongle. Would definitely recommend these over the huge obnoxious over the head headphones.A++

I can’t use them, they keep falling out

    • Written by Tiffany B from Montreal

I can’t use these headphones because the ear peice keeps falling out. I tried all of the size they offer and all of them fall. You move the slightest they fall you go to increase or decrease the volume they fall you are in the bus sitting straight and still they manage to fall. Its so annoying that I payed so much for these headphones and I can’t use them. The apple headphones are painfully and uncomfortable but at least they don’t fall.

    Sound thumbs down

    • Written by Scott A from Austin

The mid and upper range is nice and clear — fine if you mostly like vocals. Where's the low end? It's just not there. Don't they know this? Overall the Apple EarPods sound better. The design is pretty nice though.

The urBeats3 is downright awesome. The sound quality is way more different from what I have experienced in the past from different headphones. The noise cancellation is great thanks to the earbuds that come with the earphones itself. Sound quality is on point as I listen to a lot of rap and r&b music, it definitely elevates the user experience. Unboxing is an A+ on these guys as the case is modern to touch. Overall, the urBeats3 are underated but don’t forget that they are one of your best bang for your buck out there.

    Exceptional sound

    • Written by Michael V

I have used mine for over one month, the sound is exceptional, fit is perfect. They don’t slip out if you use the correct size earbuds. If you are more active they include several different sized ear wings to provide extra security. They wire itself is very substantial and doesn’t tangle easily. One surprising feature is they are magnetic so the earbuds stick together for storage which further reduces tangles. Finally, the remote/mic on the left earbud works great and the buttons have a substantial feel to them when pushed. Overall a definite 5 star!

Some of the most annoying headphones I’ve ever owned

    • Written by Ciara W

So I got these for my birthday but they were series 2 and they were purple I lost sound in the same ear three times!! So they sent me the next generation because they have AppleCare and I’ve had the same problem with these gold ones twice now!! I’m so annoyed with it i love the sound proof part and I like them when they work! But as you can tell for me they don’t work that often! Sound quality is great if they don’t lose sound in an ear! And it’s super noticeable if they lose the sound because it’s faint to no sound at all and then when u send them to the repair centre they check them then send a new pair. But obviously there’s a big problem with them if this has happen 5 times.

    Good...but needs work

    • Written by Richard S from Centerton

These earphones are by no means horrible, but do need a pretty fare amount of help to them. One of the things is that sometimes the buds don’t stay in very well for a fair amount of time. They do tend to slip out from time to time while bending over to tie your shoes or pick up something from the floor. Plus the wing tips keep them in good but depending on which sizes of wings and tips you have on they can make things feel weird. But the lightening connector works a lot better then the ones that come with the 7 plus and higher iPhones. The ones that require the dongle or headphone jack are also really good as well and would recommend either pair to anyone.

    Earpiece falls out

    • Written by John A

Overall this lightning connector is probably way better in the terms of being compared to the crusty iPhone ones that come in the box. But everything has cons, in this case this headphone does not show or label which side for the ear it is designated for. It is 3 stars because bit does not fit in your ears often, it ALWAYS feels loose and falls out if you gently bend over to pick up something. But it is better than the iPhone lightning connectors though.
