\n Get it ready for trade-in.\n

\n You’ll keep your trade-in device until you receive your new Mac. We’ll send a trade-in kit and email instructions on how to back up and transfer your data, and how to prep your trade-in device before you ship it back. You may receive the kit along with your new Mac. Otherwise, it will be mailed to you separately as soon as your order is ready for delivery or pickup.\n

\n Ship your device within 14 days of getting your trade-in kit.\n

\n After we receive your device, a team will inspect it and verify its condition. If everything checks out, your trade-in is complete. If your device doesn’t match the original description you provided, you’ll receive an email with next steps.\n

\n\t\t\t\tWhen you pay in part or in full with Apple Gift Card or Apple Account balance, your credit will be applied to that gift card or balance (up to the amount paid with each) before any credit is applied to your credit/debit card. If the value of your trade-in was more than the cost of your new device, you’ll receive an Apple Gift Card by email with the remaining amount. \n\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\tHow does recycling work? \n\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\tIf your device doesn’t qualify for trade-in value, we’ll recycle it for free. Once you complete your purchase, you’ll get an email with a prepaid shipping label and instructions on how to box up your old device and locate your nearest drop-off location. \n\t\t\t
