At Apple, we make it easy to get connected.

Your new iPhone will have eSIM, a digital SIM that eliminates the need for a physical SIM card. With eSIM, you can quickly and easily transfer an existing cellular plan or get a new cellular plan, all digitally. So there’s no need to visit your carrier’s store. You can even store multiple eSIMs on the same device and have two phone numbers active at the same time.

You can activate an unlocked iPhone 14 or iPhone 14 Pro model that you purchased in the United States with over 400 carriers who support eSIM on iPhone, in 100 countries and regions all over the world. Contact your carrier to confirm that they support eSIM on your cellular plan.

Here’s how it works.

For AT&T or T-Mobile customers, you’ll activate your new iPhone by following a few simple steps on screen when you set it up.

For Sprint or Verizon customers, you’ll verify your carrier account before checkout, and your new iPhone will be ready to activate when you receive it and start setup.

Don’t see your carrier? Choose “Connect to any carrier later” and easily set up your service once you receive your new iPhone. You can check if your carrier supports eSIM here.

Will you get an unlocked iPhone?

When you purchase an iPhone at Apple, you’ll receive an unlocked model that you can use with any carrier. The only exception is if you purchase an iPhone through AT&T Installment Plans — you will receive a locked model.
