First, there are no caps for either side nor is there any loop or other way to attach a lanyard. It is a rather small device and the basic design is clean and simple. Problem is that they went a bit too simple: no caps, no lanyard loop, and small enough to loose in any pocket. Performance is a bit mediocre with read performance of about 70MB/s and write speed of about 45MB/s. Given the poor physical design and high price, there are better solutions, even one by SanDisk, albeit, at only 32GB.

Basically too simple and not as fast as I expected

No caps. No lanyard. Easy to loose. Read speed is substantially less than 100MB/sec, and write speed half of that. Not recommended.

      Very bad

      Worked great! Twice.

My old Mac Book Pro finally died quietly at home a couple weeks ago after 7 years of reliable service all over the world. With the ubiquity of SD cards these days, it didn't occur to me that the new MBP wouldn't have a built in SD card reader. Bad design as a result of trying to make a new product overly streamlined. I use exclusively Sandisk SD cards and they have always been extremely reliable. I was even able to salvage two warped and partially melted cards from two camera traps I was using for research that were destroyed in a wildfire. I put all my confidence into these two companies, so despite terrible reviews of this product, I tried it anyway. On the third time using it, the disk was suddenly ejected and never recognized again. I'll be reading a lot of reviews from here out from other companies from here out before I make a new third-party purchase. With the high price point being established as reflective of highest quality, I think standards have nonetheless begun to lower. What a lemon.

Extremely tight to insert and won't fit into some USB ports

I use it for my MacBook and for an ultrasound machine (standard USB). The standard USB port on the drive would not fit into the USB ports on my ultrasound machine! It's very odd. It works going into the USB 3.0 ports on my MacAir, but again it is very tight and difficult to insert and it may be that it will get better with time and use but I feel like I could break something trying to insert it. When I hold the box of the USB 3.0 port up next to my daily workhorse 32GB SanDisk drive, it is larger/wider than the old one. It's quite unusual that I could not insert this into the ports on my ultrasound machine which is essentially a Windows machine. As mentioned elsewhere, there is no lanyard option either which increases the odds this will get lost. No cap either, but that's not a deal breaker for me. I will likely send this back.
