The problem with TG screen protectors is that they're usually quite bulky and very noticeable. The Tech21 really drew me in because of how thin it is. When installed, it doesn't feel or look any different than a typical screen protector film. Even though this was a bit on the pricey side (it was at an Apple store, so I guess that makes sense) it looked like a solid deal. I guess I should've read a little more about this, as it's not TG. The thinness of the glass looks good, but with the sacrifice of strength. The BulletShield that they claim may add something, but I'm not sure. Getting into my car this morning with the phone in my jacket pocket, it bumped into my car door, not lightly, but not a hard bump either. Even with the phone being in my pocket, and in a bumper case, there is now a hairline crack in the protector. I don't think this impact would have really done anything to the iPhone's screen, so I'm not sure if this crack was really warranted. I think I'll probably end up going back to the TG screen protectors that are a bit thicker, since those are much stronger, and cheaper nonetheless. Can't say I recommend this screen protector, especially for the price. Pros: Thin, slick, looks great, very scratch resistant Cons: Thin, not as strong, not tempered glass, what is BulletShield?

      Awesome protector!

I'm not sure of why this has generated negative reviews. Sure, it can scratch and crack, but you'd be hard pressed to say those same scratches and cracks wouldn't be present in the actual screen subject to the same abuse (drops, keys, etc.) By the way, cracking is precisely what the protector is designed to do - the cracking dissipates force that otherwise would have been transmitted to the screen it's protecting. This protector and the phone it is attached to are both the same age, almost exactly one year old, and as I upgrade my phone I will also purchase another of these to protect it. Highly recommended.

The reason i bought it there was because i had a gift card and that brought the price down to reasonable levels. The protector itself comes with an applicator. Another advantage of getting it at the Apple Store is that they can install it for you but i opted to do it myself. The applicator slips onto the bottom half of the iPhone so you'll need to remove it from any case that it's in. If you have a skin stuck on the back (like i did) make sure it reattaches easily because it'll need to come off. The applicator certainly helps and I was able to apply it perfectly the first time. One thing you'll need to be aware of - go slow from the bottom to the top and but don't bend it too much or it might snap. Going slowly will really help with avoiding bubbles. The screen adds a matte look to the iPhone. There's less glare, too. I like the look. It doesn't cover the curved parts of the screen, though. On a black phone, It blends in and is barely noticeable. There's also less fingerprints on my screen now. That's a plus but dust tends to settle around where the protector makes contact so make sure you keep the lint free cleaning cloth around. There's no interference with the keyboard or force touch. Recommended, if you're OK with the price.

      Terrible for the Money

This When picking up my new iPhone 8 Plus, it seemed there was a choice of imperfect options (all the screen protectors in store had mediocre to poor reviews). This one was supposed to be "self healing" for being a non-glass film, so I bought it. It's the most I have ever spent on a screen protector. A week later, I have three obvious scratches on it, despite not carrying any sharp edged objects in my pocket where I carry my phone. I hope Apple will take this back, because I have gone to Amazon to find something better quality.

Don't waste the money on this one

Two. Days. $40. I still have it on my phone because the scratch is minimal (still mad about it though), and the top right corner has peeled. It's been 1 month. I don't know how this happened. I have my phone in a case as well, so my pocket shouldn't have caught on it since the case is raised around the edges slightly. I also had Apple apply the screen protector for me, in their little machine that does it, so it wasn't an error in application. I'm really unhappy I spent $40 on this. Should have just bought a Lifeproof.
