  • Overview

The Beddit 3 Sleep Tracker automatically tracks your sleep and works with the Beddit app on your iPhone or iPad to help you achieve better sleep. Unlike activity trackers, Beddit is completely ambient so there's no need to wear or charge it. The thin, flexible, and soft sensor is unnoticeable when placed under the sheet on top of the mattress. It senses and automatically begins tracking when you lie down on the bed—collecting and analyzing sleep-related data such as sleep time and efficiency, heart rate, respiration, temperature, movement, snoring, room temperature, and room humidity.

    Understand your sleep patterns better

The Beddit app delivers personalized insights and customizable sleep coaching to help you improve your sleep. In addition, the Beddit SmartAlarm provides the most accurate method of detecting the optimal time to awaken you from sleep.

    How it works

Beddit technology is based upon a scientific principle known as ballistocardiography (BCG), an unobtrusive, non-invasive technique for measuring the mechanical activity of the heart, lungs, and other body functions. Each time the heart beats, the acceleration of blood through the circulatory system generates a mechanical impulse that can be measured and analyzed. Throughout the night, Beddit tracks each individual heart beat and respiration cycle. Beddit's advanced analysis and machine learning algorithms adapt differently to each body type and provide detailed sleep data.

    Highlights

Automatically tracks sleep as well as heart rate, average resting heart rate, respiration, movement, and snoring

Thin, flexible, soft sensor is undetectable when placed under the sheet on top of the mattress

No need to wear anything like activity trackers, sensors, or other gadgets

Beddit SleepScore combines sleep quality and sleep quantity data into one easy-to-understand number

    Tracks room temperature and humidity

Works on any bed, any size mattress, and with one or two people in the bed (requires two sensors for tracking two people)

The sensor is removable for travel

Works with Apple Watch to deliver SleepScore every morning, and track a nap if the SleepScore was too low

Delivers sleep data to Apple Health app

    Did You Notice?

Beddit’s sleep tracking and scoring system was developed in partnership with the Helsinki Sleep Clinic, VitalMed Research Center, and professor Markku Partinen, MD, a leading authority on sleep research.

      It works!

I use this in conjunction with a CPAP and have found it to be quite accurate. My sleep quality always registers higher when I use my CPAP vs when I don't. Also, not having one more thing to wear while I'm asleep is a huge bonus.

      Big improvement over Beddit 2

I liked the app, and it was great not having to wear anything while sleeping. However, the adhesive on the beddit 2’s sensor eventually started losing its tackiness. When I saw that the Beddit 3 no longer used adhesive with its sensor, it was an instant buy for me. I have been using it for a month now and love it.

It was simple to set up, jut put it on your mattress at chest height and plug it in, connect with your Beddit app and off you go. The detail of information is very good, but it is also easy to check things at a glance. It shows you your different levels of sleep, your heart rate, breathing rate, temperature and humidity of the room. And it can detect snoring with the app. The automatic sleep detection is very useful, you don't have to remember anything when you go to bed. Just hop in and fall to sleep.

Inaccurate and will not allow you to use Bluetooth headphones

Because I know for a fact that I woke up, left my bed, and returned four times during the night. In the morning it only recorded one time away from bed.... one out of four in my opinion is a failure. Also, I like to listen to white noise through my Bluetooth headphones when I cannot sleep. While the app is running, manadatory for it to work, you use Bluetooth headphones.

I use "Siri" to turn off all of the lights at night while laying in bed, if Beddit was already tracking my movement Siri would not function at all. If this ever gets solved I would definitely purchase again.

Beddit 3 has changed my life

I have a serious sleep disorder and was looking for a product just like this, one that monitors my sleep in detail including the amount of time spent snoring by giving it access to my microphone. The time to fall asleep, and the number of times I wake up and even get up, I have a degree in Statistics and I find the numbers it provides me with enough to improve my health both my mental health and my physical health as well. Other things like my Fitbit Charge 2 claim to monitor sleep but this is the only thing I have found that actually does it as that's it's sole function and the room temperature and humidity are valuable as well. My friend Dave has an iPhone and I have already recommended it. I have an iPad Pro and just wi-fi so it took a little getting used to as it needs to be plugged in, and close by, but worth it. If your looking for a sleep tracker this is the one for me anyway
