Yes this works as a GPS based range finder. It shows distances to hazards, and front. Center and bac Yes this works as a GPS based range finder. It shows distances to hazards, and front. Center and back if green. I have been using the 1st Gen for almost two years. It is distracting in the beginnng but once you get used to it it is fantastic. It is GPS, tracks shot distances with each club, keeps your handicap, serves as a scorecard, and is a rangefinder.

Based on the “Rules Changes for 2016” published on December 13, 2015 and available at www.usga.org, the Arccos 360 app conforms to the Rules of Golf. The Arccos 360 app can now be used in Stipulated Rounds when a local rule permitting the use of distance-measuring devices is in effect, so long as a golfer does not review data from a hole previously played during that round.
The Arccos 360 app works with Arccos 360 sensors, as well as first-generation Arccos Golf sensors. Users simply attach one sensor to the end of each club grip, then do a one-time pairing process. At the start of a round, users launch the Arccos 360 app, then place their iPhone in a front pocket. The system then automatically and seamlessly records every shot a golfer makes, analyzes the data in real time and provides actionable insights about how to shoot lower scores by playing smarter golf.
Arccos stats are available instantly on your iPhone or Apple Watch as you play, or after your round on any tablet or computer – anytime, anywhere.
