  • Overview

The Belkin Mixit DuraTek 1.2 m Lightning to USB Cable delivers ultimate durability in a highly polished, super-strong aluminum finish. Built with the toughest and most durable materials including DuPont Kevlar and Dacron, this cable provides an improved strain relief. And its highly polished aluminum finish beautifully complements the iPhone 7, including the all new Jet Black model.

    Built with DuPont Kevlar

This cable is constructed from DuPont Kevlar, the same material used in bulletproof vests. These super-strong Kevlar fiber strands can flex without stretching, providing structure to keep the wires inside from damage—and delivering the ultimate in durability for everyday use.

    Double-braided nylon

The external cable jacket is made from Dacron—a premium and hard-wearing nylon. Double-braiding is a technique used in rope making that offers maximum strength and added resilience.

    Improved strain relief

Tested to withstand 5000+ bend cycles, this cable is highly resistant to splitting and breakage. Made from flexible TPE material, smooth, tactile, and environmentally friendly, this added length and flexibility helps to absorb stress and reinforce the juncture between the cable and the connector head to prevent separation.

I've tested the cord on both my iPhones, mini iPad and my watch stand; using various power sources.. car, portable, straight from the outlet, on my mac. The metal housing always heats up. How hot? Enough to burn the underside of my foot when I accidentally stepped on it. I'm just concerned that this may be a potential fire hazard if left unattended and continuously plugged in. Sadly, I will not be using this cord any more.

I wanted a product like this that was sturdier than the regular apple cord that keeps breaking off at the connection point. I decided to pay more and purchase directly from Apple to get a product that might work but this product is already starting to say it is not compatible with my device.

Bought directly from Apple and it’s “not compatible “

I have had the same experience as others. I wanted a strong, reliable long cable. I bought this expensive cable directly from Apple, it worked for a while, and I have had the same experience as others. I wanted a strong, reliable long cable. I bought this expensive cable directly from Apple, it worked for a while, and now when I try to use it to charge, the messages on both my iphone and ipad say “accessory not compatible.” This is way beyond frustrating.
