      Good, not great

      I had been watching the progress of this for a year when it was finally released in November 2016. I jump on it. But I wish I'd known these facts: 1) Warranty is about 6 MONTHS 2) Battery lasts about 10 minutes 3) It's crazy loud, even outdoors 4) Maximum flying height is about 65 feet 5) Product support is abysmal. Takes weeks to get a reply, and then the reply gives no information that you can't easily find by Googling The good thing (for you, not for me) is that it's $100 cheaper on Apple's site and it takes pretty good photos.

      Not worth $500 bucks

      I was so excited when I got this Hover Camera Passport Drone. Its great but not worth $500 bucks. It lacks many features! You can't adjust camera settings, n I was so excited when I got this Hover Camera Passport Drone. Its great but not worth $500 bucks. It lacks many features! You can't adjust camera settings, no on/off flash settings? it has flash but its not working even when i tried it at night. The flight time is only 10min or less! Can't access the memory through your computer unless the power is on, so when ur out of battery, you can't upload. The photo gesture is not working. You would think that if you plug it in your computer, it will charge itself but no. You can't buy extra battery? Do they think 2 10min is enough when your on a trip? It would be nice if it will display percentage of the battery. The noise is super loud! I like the build quality and compactness but for not worth $500. Sorry but I'll be returning this :(

      Bought the Hover Camera a month ago I really enjoy the freedom that this gives.       Erratic and controllable, a complete waste of money.

      On the very first flight it flew wildly out of control; hitting walls, windows then me in the head.       Nifty Quirky Sad

      The drone is quite well built, the camera is acceptable and firmware updates are frequent. User tracking misses the mark and often randomly chases random strangers that it thinks are its owner. This poor drone would likely have been returned had it not lost its connection with my phone and decided to fly away randomly at full speed while gaining altitude until we could no longer see it. Bye bye drone, bye bye money ;.; Pros: -Build quality is excellent, the carbon fiber housing and blade guards make it tough to break -The battery life given the size of the drone is great as well, flight times las as long as or longer than advertised -Includes two batteries and a quick charger dock -4k video is nice Cons: -Terrible owner tracking and autonomic functions, chases random people -Will randomly lose connection to the app and fly away full speed in some random direction often gaining altitude, became irrecoverable this way. -No real video stabilization -You can control the vertical angle the camera points in but this function requires you to swipe on the screen of your phone and is intermittently jerky or fails to work -Terrible software -Nonexistent customer service and manufacturer website not really useful -No GPS tracking or any tracking/pinging features of any kind, no emergency auto landing feature when it loses connection, no auto hover

      Unlike other reviewers, I wish I could have gotten the original non Apple Version that cost $100 more. The original version included a hard case, spare propell Unlike other reviewers, I wish I could have gotten the original non Apple Version that cost $100 more. The original version included a hard case, spare propellers, and other spare parts. The spare parts do not appear to be purchasable now. The only spare part available is a spare battery directly from Zero Zero Robotics. Pluses: 1. Well Made. 2. Takes excellent Photos. 3. Long battery life. 10 minutes is a great flight time for a quad this size. Competitors are much less. At 10 minutes it warned it was going to auto land. At 10 minutes 30 seconds it landed. 4. Has single axis mechanical stabilization of the camera. Minuses: 1. Takes terrible 1080P video because of a poorly implemented attempt at video stabilization. Video has bad jello effect. 4K does not use video stabilization and is pretty good. 2. Poor owner mode tracking. When I tried it in the Livingroom it found my face but as soon as I tried to move it jumped over and started tracking the face on our clock. When I tried it outside it again found my face but when I tried to move it turned and flew away from me. Had to run to try and catch it. 3. 360 pan mode turns too fast with no way to slow it down. 4. No spare parts or accessories available for it except for the battery. Suggestions: 1. Make it possible for the user to turn off video stabilization on 1080P or fix the algorithm so that the video does not look like the camera is looking through a bowl of jello. 2. Slow down speed in 360 pan mode or better yet make it user settable. All and All, I really like this drone. I gave it 4 stars. Would have given it five stars if the items above were fixed. I think it is the best of the selfie drones currently available. Takes great done photographs.
