I’ve had 2 and had no success.

I bought both of mine at the Apple store. The first was right when I purchased my MacBook Air. I used it for backups and one day decided to do a factory reset on my computer because it was getting slow. I wanted to put some of my files back on and when I plugged in my g-drive the files were gone. Brought it to the Apple store and they said it seemed like a fluke. Lost everything but lucklily had some stuff backed up to Carbinate. Bought another G drive and within weeks the cord stopped fitting in snugly causing it to eject with the slightest movement. I’m very careful with my things. My MacBook is from 2011 and still looks brand new after constant everyday use. Will not be getting another G drive. Looking for better options now.
