      Great replacement for Airport network

My new house has had constant challenges with the Airport Network. In a moment of frustration, I went to the Apple store and asked what other options they had. They gave me these. They are easy to setup, have a great range, and push through more speed than the Airport Extremes or the Expresses. Plus, the management app absolutely blows AWAY the Apple Airport iOS app/Mac app. Very good product and I'm considering buying more nodes to help push the speed throughout the house!

Rather than invest in more Airports, many several years old, I figured it was time to upgrade and fill those wifi voids in our home. I figured 6 Velop nodes would be the ideal upgrade to replace the 3 existing Airports. Set-up was a slow motion painful nightmare. Adding a new node that was out of direct line of sight of the prior was impossible. When configuring a new node was successful (rare event!), plugging it into to the network would cause the unit to crash and become useless. I called tech support & was bounced around eventually finding the "Velop team". They told me the Velop App was "down" and to try again later...really?! 3 full resets and reconfig's later over 2 days and I am done. No thanks & I feel like I was ripped off-

Simple setup and great coverage and crazy fast wireless speed.

I work from home and don’t have time to play around with cutsie WiFi routers and extenders anymore and didn’t want to try to do this on the cheap with something like TP-link’s disc-shaped 2 radio antenna solution. I’m so happy with this system. I get coverage all over my house, basement, backyard, garage...can walk anywhere talking on WiFi calling. I have gig fiber at my house. The furthest velop node from the modem gives me an astounding 650mb down without any wired back channeling...full WiFi. These 3 antenna nodes are amazing little boxes, the setup via the Linksys app is a breeze, so I can’t recommend them enough.

To my pleasant surprise, the app I bought this pack because of my Apple extream base station gave up, and I was worried that these would be difficult to set up. To my pleasant surprise, the app and the system were easy to set up and manage. And I have set up parental control on my children's devices, also quite easy. I would recommend this system to anyone.

I have a large house, nearly 6,000 square feet, and after setting up just two of the nodes, I was getting coverage everywhere. Setting up the third gave me excellent coverage everywhere. Set up was simple and quick. Hated to replace my aging AirPorts (I've always been a loyal Apple guy), but this is an excellent product.

(I'm hedging because maybe someone knows how to use the Ethernet port to connect.) I am using my AirPort as the router (FiOS connects to AirPort via an Ethernet cable) and the "main" Velops connects to the AirPort via an Ethernet cable. I have a hard drive connected to the AirPort. TimeMachine is backing up to the drive. And I can see the drive in the Finder>Shared>"My AirPort">8GB Seagate If you have to use a cable router, you can probably connect an AirPort to that and then the Velops. This gets to be more connections and possible confusion than one would want. And it assumes you already have an AirPort.
