The have had some issues with firmware however they are getting better. Used with wired or wireless backhaul. Mine is wired and i get great speeds everywhere in my house. They have 2 ethernet ports underneath. One is used for connecting to internet on primary node. The other can be connected to a switch (see below) Setup is BT Socket-->Modem (vigor130) --> Velop node 1 --> gigiabit wired switch --> velop 2 and 3 connected via wire. Setup is wifi first to connect the nodes. It takes a little while but once its setup you done. Note for the UK, it needs a modem or existing router. I have used the Vigor 130 as my modem and the velop does the PPPOE connection. I have got it to work with Both SSE Broadband and Vodafone Broadband. So it will work with most fibre providers e.g. BT Infinity, Plusnet, Talk Talk etc. (needs to add the VLAN Tag of 101) Should also work with Virgin but I have not tested.

Simple setup and great coverage and crazy fast wireless speed.

This is my first experience with a mesh WiFi system and Velop does not disappoint. I work from home and don’t have time to play around with cutsie WiFi routers This is my first experience with a mesh WiFi system and Velop does not disappoint. I work from home and don’t have time to play around with cutsie WiFi routers and extenders anymore and didn’t want to try to do this on the cheap with something like TP-link’s disc-shaped 2 radio antenna solution. I’m so happy with this system. I get coverage all over my house, basement, backyard, garage...can walk anywhere talking on WiFi calling. I have gig fiber at my house. The furthest velop node from the modem gives me an astounding 650mb down without any wired back channeling...full WiFi. These 3 antenna nodes are amazing little boxes, the setup via the Linksys app is a breeze, so I can’t recommend them enough.

The major difficulty we experienced was syncing our modem with the Velop system. Our Velop app could not link to the modem. It took a half hour to get the system on wifi.
